i use to listen to alot of your guys podcast back 3 years ago. truthfully at that point i had listening to all of them since episode one. i dont anymore because of learning about my own childhood sex trauma. how porn has helped me survive when i was suicidal. to be clear porn is evil and vile but the shame and guilt conveyed at times is utterly useless in helping someone find healing. resisting the sin isnt helpful if its more of a true addiction, not just lustful habit. its just that messages like "dont watch porn and its never good ever" and " read you bible everyday and God will fix it" dont actually help people like me free from it. the plea to be more spiritual doesnt elevate an addiction. i have countless friends in the same shoes too. church going, would die for God today type believers truly drowning in guilt and shame of addiction. Praying away the addiction doesnt bring last freedom to true addicts. a book id recommend is called out of the shadows by dr patrick carnes and a book from dr mark Laser healing wounds of sexual trauma. i think that it could help you guys not use spiritual rhetoric that actually just makes sincere people feel more and more shameful. its like someone telling you how to fix a car but your working on two different types of cars, maybe even generations of the same brand. with all that said God bless you guys for your ministry and speaking truth from Gods word with a Godly perspective on marriage. If God created sex for marriage, then why is there so many sexless marriages out there ? Im not married, but if I was I wouldn’t want it to be sexless.

I have to say that I’m married, I didn’t have intercourse until my wife and I were dating. I have to say that the shame and regret I have about sex is that I had sex to begin with. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn’t have even talked to the woman I married.
