These ALMOST Made It - Consort Oslo S2 - Devon Aztec XL - Vantage Eos

I have been looking at Consort and Vantage website lately. One thing Consort has as an option on the Olso is an extended length bed to 6'6" - perhaps they've added that after the conversation with you? Another thing that caught my eye is that the Vantage and Consort conversions have a similar feel to them, as distinct from the Devon. Given the Consort and Vantage factories are located within easy walking distance of each other I wonder if they compare notes from time to time. But, great vans as you said.

Consort seems nicely built ❤. Personally I wouldn’t go for the Oslo. I like our double bed. You made the right choice. 🙏🧙‍♂️👍

I totally understand why you chose which van you chose and it’s been good to see the what the compromises are that you didn’t need to compromise on with S & L! If Anthony at S and L loses that step up to the lounge area you’ve definitely done well 🙂. Laters😂

@@RickandHeather Sorry - Consort guy used to make a point of not using knock on edge trims to cabinets, but now does use them. Seen a couple of videos now where they also had no easy glide bed system in the consort vans, may just be at shows, but was just curious if they still use it. Love the layout and flexibility of the S&L build and looks nicely put together. Hope the build all goes well and look forward to an update.

Loved the Consorts when we were at the show, but far too expensive on the Fiat platform by the time you add the extras that you need, some of which should be standard as they are on others

£67k quite cheap - eek that’s a worry if that’s cheap 😱 🤞 prices normalise again soon, nice to see the 70-80k becoming 60-70k though. Nice they can tweak the vans and good that there’s honesty on the limits of that. Interesting to see the comparison and reasons - I do like the front window and desk so get why you would want that. (I’ll slum it with my table and bracket for now until prices drop haha) assume you’re wanting to do your editing and things in the front of the van? Wonder how many times the extra foot or so causes any issues when parking vs. 6m, I reckon 80% of the time it would be fine, just the odd time it wouldn’t, be really interested to see how you get on - might not do what I do where I go in spaces I shouldn’t then moan getting out when someone has parked daft) - I had the theory if you go over 6m you might as well go to 7-8m as ferry fares etc and parking so really interesting to follow) Got to say though, will be end of an era when you get rid of Pearl as enjoyed the Pearl the CV20 days when we were waiting for our CV20 to arrive and the endless delays and the mods and things you did to yours, think we’ve watched pretty much, if not every video you guys (and Wizard in the Wild) have done as all very relevant and interesting. Interesting video - thanks for making it as all this info comes in useful for the future when it comes time for us to change the van. All the best, David 👍

nice van but all that carpet slapped all over the side panels and doors would be a big no no for me plus not keen on the square window frames sticking out.. but that's what you get when you don't have the manufactured molded panels that surround the doors and side panels that the big campervan builders use.. plus all that carpet holds the cooking smells and moisture ..

You chose well , saying that we have a vantage and it’s great. Always find that the consorts are nice enough vans but nowt special and they always look dated in my opinion.
