As far as penguins I was always amazed by that story of the guy saving the penguin with the oil on it and every year it would leave and come back and walk through the village to the house of the guy who saved him. Animals really are amazing I wish people would learn from them more.

Yeah, I remember that incredible penguin swimming back across the ocean every year. Birds are especially faithful to their partner. For example they say that swans are mates for life & if their partner dies they will live out the rest of their life alone.

Also, animals don't wear clothing because they have fur or other biological systems to regulate their temperature without outside assistance. Even if they didn't, most animals don't have the dexterity required to weave cloth. It has nothing to do with your grandiose perception of yourself in an attempt to justify your own existence.

Love can tame the wild beast. Love, understanding, care, compassion, respect. They truly understand this human is my friend. Civilization was built on the back of the horses. Cats kept the rat's, snakes under control. Protecting homes, houses, buildings, streets, family's. Our winter supplies. THEY ARE TRULY HUNTER'S OF THE NIGHT. last but not least humans best friend dog's. 1 day long ago 1 hunter finding the wolf pup's without their mom feeling sorry for them took them back to his cave. And the rest is history. They protected homes, houses, buildings, streets, family's, go hunting for meat, fur, protected homes, properties, possessions. And what did ask from us?? Love, care, food, shelter small prize to pay considering what We owe them. They are still doing what they do naturally. I can't even imagine us humans come this far without their help. We owe them our existence. We have to love, protect, care, compassion, when they need us. We have to be there for them. And many, many other animals helped us.

The one that really got me was the girl with her horse. The fact that she was forced to get rid of it due to her parents’ finances can be so hard, even for a younger person who may not initially fully understand such a reason. I’m so glad they were able to get the horse back later. You can really tell it made a world of a difference to that girl.

The kids who don’t understand, don’t really fully know why it was imperative to let the horse go. So it can be confusing and sometimes hard for them since they don’t fully understand how finances can make people have to cut back. When you grow an emotional connection with an animal as a child, that is your world. You feel a connection with the creature. It’s hard to let that go when you don’t fully know why.

I can’t understand why anyone would miss treat an animal. They are so full of love and they show us love. They teach us about love. If I’m gone for 10 minutes and get back from the store my dog doesn’t know what to do with herself. She runs around the sofa and has to get a belly rub. It’s so nice to be that loved. After my 5-day hospital stay and soon thereafter another 7 days in the hospital for my heart surgery, my 4 dogs squeeled and were running all over the house like a bunch of nuts when I returned home. It makes me so proud to be a dog owner. After all, they are my family and I love them dearly. 💙💚💜💙

I did not realize how much I depended on my old cat greeting me at the door until she was not there anymore. She had done it for 14 years until her death in February this year. It broke my heart the first time I came home from work and realized it. It took some time but I just adopted two bonded cats from the shelter. I was actually looking at a calico on the site, which I always wanted but then, I saw that a notation attached said she was bonded with another cat. So I ended up with two fuzzy love bugs. Now when I come home I have TWO cats greeting me.😄💕😺😺

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my 18 year old cat, Pippin, recently. As a foster mama at my local shelter, she came to me alone, tiny, and needing to be bottle fed 18 years ago and saw me through lots of changes. I'm so happy that you found two little loves as you moved forward in grief 💙

I am sobbing.... I miss my Rhodesian Ridgeback Pit baby so much. I rescued him after he spent 2 years in a cage. The unconditional love from our furry soulmates is so unmatched.

I raised 14 ducklings that I found swimming in my pool. Their mom never came back. They'd follow me everywhere, & would quack when I left. After they were fully grown. I took them to our local pond. I went back each day to make sure they were OK & to leave food. Everytime they'd swim over to me, eat, & follow me to the gate. It broke me heart to leave. Before all 14 could make it to the pond. One flew off from my backyard. She's imprinted on my home. Every spring she comes back with 2 male mallards.

@@crystalheart9 it's was a lot of work but it was also very rewarding. When they're babies they don't produce oil to float & swim. We had to lightly oil on our hands & rub the ducklings before each swim in a baby pool. Eventually they learned to dive in the hot tub (wasn't warm). Then we fed them folage & meal worms. We even held them in a way to exercise & strengthen their wings. They imprinted on my daughter & me. So they followed us everywhere. At night they slept in a bedding area. They'd quack everytime we went inside or at mealtime. I knew we couldn't keep them, but our neighborhood lake was with walking distance. I adored seeing them each day at the lake. Just to make sure they ate & transitioned well. It was heartbreaking to have leave. They'd follow us to the gate. There was the one who flew off before going to the lake. We see her every spring with her fella. It makes me smile! 🦆

When a fellow or other animal friend dies, an elephant mourns near their friend's death/carcass location for days, carries depression and sadness similar to humans grieving, and revisits that place every year. It also wouldn't be shocking if elephants go visit where ever the carcass has been buried or disposed of. Some whales remember every single creature they interact with and remember their friends even years later. Whales most likely never forget their friends.

When i was in a private primary school in 2007, one of the teachers who lived on campus had adopted 2 chickens. They frew up to be the 2 most beautiful roosters ever. Theyd always come sit on my lap during lunch breaks and I was one of the very few people who could hug them

Years ago my cat had been stolen. My best friend which was also my neighbor happened to be coming home from the grocery store, as she drove down a side/rarely traveled country road, she saw a cat chasing her car! It was him! He recognized her car and knew she'd bring him home!!! It had been 3 months, when she walked in with him in her arms I burst into happy tears!!!! ❤️

I have rabbits and when I come home from work, they all are jumping up and down like crazy. I immediately let the gate open and they hop all around me, it truly brings the greatest feeling when I’ve had a bad day. Animals do provide a sense of peace and comfort to their humans they adore!

Being in the hospital for 9 days with heart troubles, my 2 cats stayed with me on my bed. Other than eating and bathroom breaks, I had 2 benson burners; one on my pillow, one right up against my hip and purring. You feel loved and comforted. 😊

There’s a certain bond we have with animals that just cannot be replaced. When I was in the hospital for 2 weeks back in 2011 for cancer, I was always in great spirits until I thought of my dogs at home and then I would tear up and start crying like a baby. Once I got home they wouldn’t know what to do with themselves lol.

Having pets (especially dogs) makes taking a vacation borderline heart-breaking. I feel bad just being gone a few hours. (We keep our pets home with a sitter when we travel). I wish animals didn't experience SUCH intense longing and loneliness and anxiety when we can't be with them. I'm very moved and grateful we can be such a positive and joyful part of animals lives. I do wish they could miss us a LITTLE less. I'm a mom of 3 and was able to be home with my kiddos. At least elementary kiddos stop needing/missing their parents so much. My kids love going to school. Pets never get there. Heavy hearts all around!

Priceless! We rescued a baby Piglet, a Runt at that, in September 2022!! She was barely a pound, and worked with her for 4 days,between a neighbor gal and I! We both decided she needed to go, where, she can get the right care, and Now, she is a healthy 30 pounds! I go to visit, and she knows me! Will call her name, and she comes a running, and follows! Has those cute little grunts, “ talking” to me! She has a forever home!!
