Love this Entre Leadership channel. And I could be wrong... but it seems like Dave enjoys stepping away from the Baby Steps but still being on the microphone. I see another wind of passion and rejuvenation in him.

21:38 When I graduated high school in 2016 I had two part-time jobs, one as a server at a corporate retirement home and a dishwasher at a local restaurant. The restaurant offered a full time position as a line chef with a raise with training. Although they didn't offer benefits, I still took it. When I put in my two weeks at the retirement home they tried to get me to stay by matching the pay, benefits, etc. I hated that place. Everyone but a few coworkers were jerks. They tried to fire my younger brother because we were in the middle of moving and he couldn't find his uniform, rather than lend him one from the closet full of uniforms upstairs. They called back later saying they needed him because they realized they were gonna be short staffed for the next shift. Screw that place.

I can hardly tell you how much it blessed me that you knew what Proverbs 16:3 said without having to look it up. and that you live by it. I have no doubt that the Lord is blessing you for that and will continue to. Jesus loves you

Absolutely agree with Dave on millennial and gen z workers. Speaking as a millennial with a gen z sister, I see this all the time. I know who of my friends and family I'd hire, and I know which ones are a drain on society. It's such an easy split because they will absolutely tell you

I wish that this podcast was 4 days a week, 2 hours with Dave and Dave would give just an hour of his time with the other personalities on the personal finance show. Even the ads are better on this one

Am I the only one who thought the travel agency was essentially a ponzi scheme? Not worried about quality and helping the agents, the main priority is to get more agents…

Kelly, if you're looking for someone I do know someone in this space that is looking and will help. Unfortunately not in Philly is that is a issue though.

I'm afraid DAVE, I'm old no kids, because God said no children. I'm a little confused about my future. U saved me with your FPU. I don't know if I should die or how to find family peace. I talk to GOD but he doesn't respond to me like he did you . I just need some advice on life. I want to succeed, I'm becoming your financial coach. I'm sorry I digress. I'm not sure if I will live long enough to win or be happy. I do really appreciate your teachings. I just feel I don't know where to go.

Only you can help yourself. I get the sense from your comments that you are just waiting on things to fall from the sky. Don't ask God or Dave anymore and go live the life you want. Only you can do that. Nobody has the playbook for life.

Try not to overthink things. Give yourself grace when you try something and its not a good fit. Try lots of things that you enjoy and love to do everyday. The success will follow when you let go and look for new opportunities. You can do hard things. 😊

Isn't it better to start by hiring independent contractors at first?
@Spladoinkal
@Spladoinkal Жыл бұрын
That's a possibility. They tend to expect a higher rate of pay though since it's a temporary position by nature. As a one person startup business, usually the best bet is to start by hiring part time employees and as you grow, start with the full timers with benefits, etc.
@nleposk1
@nleposk1 Жыл бұрын
@@Spladoinkal that's a good idea. I just started a bookkeeping business and need temporary help from time to time, so I will start paying 1099 even if it is a higher price
