I am currently driving a 2008 Dodge Charger V-6, 3.5L with 363,000 miles on it and plan to keep it well past 400,000 until car prices crash next year. I keep strict oil changes with synthetic oil and a quart of Lucas additive every change. Wish me luck to keep this past 400,000 miles. 👍

It's a really under rated setup because not many people want a charger with a naturally aspirated v6. But the drivetrain actually works very good for longevity and purpose of a daily driver.

I got my 2004 Honda CR-V already with 196,000 miles on it thinking I'd just use it for a year or two. Over the next 3 years, I put another 100,000 miles on it with my 150mile daily round trip commutes. I recently had the valve cover gasket seal replaced. The mechanic came into the office and asked me to follow him into the garage where they were working on it. I'm thinking, "Oh oh...new engine time". Then he showed me what the issue was... The engine was IMMACULTE inside. All the valves, springs, casing, interior, he said; "This motor is like new." I generally changed the oil/filter 3X a year with Mobil I & a K&N Filter. She's right at 300K now and still running like a top. When I buy something new, it's going to be a Honda Pilot or maybe another CR-V. Honestly, you can't get mad at Japan for simply making better vehicles than us especially when they're built in America. Sorry Ford, Chevy & Dodge... When you stop making garbage that ends up needing $10,000 of work for stuff that should be covered under warranty, maybe you'll get another chance for me, but I'm tired of putting in more bad money after bad. I can't afford American made trucks anymore. They just cost too much in work, in time and in aggravation. Reliability shouldn't be an outlier...it should be the standard. And I say that genuinely loving American SUV's & trucks. I just think that the bean counters at corp are letting the brands down and that's why they aren't selling $100,000 pickup trucks anymore. Americans are fed up with it.

I’m still driving my 2010 Ford Escape. It’s in excellent shape. Low mileage. No crazy computer nonsense to communicate with my phone. Only thing special I wanted when I bought it new was drivers power seat and power windows. Low tech and I’ve been extremely happy. Gets me to where I need to go and enough room for what I need to carry. I don’t want an EV. I do NOT want all that fancy tech dash stuff. I do NOT want my car communicating with my phone. As long as this vehicle continues to run, I will drive it. The vehicles today are TOO expensive and have too much computerized crap that really isn’t necessary.

Subarus are another maker that makes pure garbage. My ex-wife begged me to buy one with some money she came into. I did my best to talk her out of it since I used to buy & sell cars for years, but she said I was just trying to control here and bought it anyway. Sure enough, the very next day when she went to turn it on, I heard a "BOOM"! and saw smoke rising up to the 2nd floor window right over the car. I ran downstairs and saw the hood up and white smoke coming from the engine bay. Of course the motor blew. It had water in the oil when I showed it to her and was leaking like a siv. She got mad at me and blamed me for letting her buy it. Which is why she is now my ex-wife.

Toyota and Honda vehicles. Basic maintenance and they are bullet-proof. Change oil every 5,000 miles (ignore the marketing hype of 10K oil changes). Surprising that Lincoln is on the list, their sales are poor, and they are a Ford product. More surprising, more so than GMC being on the list, is that any German junk would be considered as reliable.

Sorry if I'm being critical, but for those of us who are not big car following people and simply looking for good advice, your video lacks of one very specific and probably the MOST IMPORTANT detail... specifically the MODEL AND YEAR or range of years of each of these highly recommended wonderful SUV's. Without that minor / MAJOR piece of information, you video is simply a waste of time for most of us. When we go shopping either online or in person, the model years and specific models are key to finding the right vehicle. Without that, this video is just a lot of noise to most of your new viewers.... Too bad really... for me, it's simply a waste of my time.

Surprised that the Chevy Tahoe didn’t make the list. I have 3 family members, all of whom have driven their Tahoes for over 300K, and they’re still going. My sister and her husband have driven their first one for over 10yrs. Just bought a brand new one last year to get them through another 10yrs, and they’re still driving the first one as a “second car,” now. Other family members have had similar experiences with their Tahoes. I drive a Toyota.

I had a 2006 Toyota scion XB I drive the piss out of it…it had a five speed. I only change the front brake pads three times and 13 years of ownership and one bad injector for $60. I run it low on fumes constantly which attributed injector I believe. I traded in and somebody still got a good car it had over 100,000 miles on it

Love the channel however the ecoboost isn’t @ 300k vehicle. Yes they can make it however you will have to get a 2nd mortgage to get it to that 300,000k mark. Around 120-130k you will start to put 1-3k into the engine. From their it will cost you annual $1-3k If your buying a Ford get the 5.0 a now that’s a 300k engine

My Parents did Ford/Mercury Products whiles growing in the 80s and 90s. Some where crappy and others very reliable. My mother had a '89 Mercury Cougar brand new for 14 years got rid of it at 319,000 Miles. My Uncle '84 Crown Vic Wagon, kept for 18 years with 279,000 miles until my cousin totaled it 😄. And actually have a friend who had a 2003 Cadillac Escalade with 426,000 Miles. But I think the Navigator is over looked because its not as Flashy as the Escalade or has the Statues as BMW, Mercedes or Lexus.

I must have bought the only crappy Toyota because my 98 Camry needed plenty of things replaced in the 150k I drove it, and I'm very strict with on time synthetic oil changes, air and oil filters, transmission fluid changes, radiator flushes, etc. It was like every other car, and my best cars have been a Honda Civic and a Volkswagen Golf.

Some Toyota Sienna vans blow water pumps and it is sometimes difficult to discover it until you blow and expensive head gasket. Yes Toyota has issues with their vehicle water pumps their tricky wnd you can check and not see any water dripping the gauge says good right in the middle, every thing looks good until its not engine sneakily overheats and this excellent engine in done. $ 5,000 repair.
