The Fluff Screamer from a small shop called Tony's Lunch in Girardville, PA. Standard burger on standard bun topped with butter, American cheese, chopped onions, 'screamer' sauce (essentially a beanless spicy meat chili sauce) and a dollop of marshmallow fluff. It's wild, but trust me. It's an experience to be had.

Pleasantly surprised to see Sparky's on the list. Any green chile aficionado needs to go to Sparky's at least once. Those of us in the southwest know the joy of Hatch chile season near the end of summer each year, and it's best experienced in Hatch itself.

Honestly, I've always felt like Boston Burger Company is on the higher end of mediocre. Like they aren't *bad*, but I wouldn't go there unless my options were limited or I was with someone that wanted to go there.

These are NOT the best hands down burgers in the US. Look around, totally misleading. There's maybe 2 or 3 highest rated burgers here. Au Cheval, Peter Luger and maybe The Emily. The rest are just novelties.

I definitely agree, however I gotta mention that the jucy lucy is absolutely beyond novelty. It’s been being made by a lot different of restaurants around minnesota since the 1950’s and it’s a far different experience than just cheese that’s inside the burger rather than out. I don’t know if it’s the grease of the burger melding with the cheese or what, but whatever it is, it is a very different beast than you’d imagine. Blue Door Pub, Matt’s, The Nook, and Breeze Inn are some of the greatest burgers I’ve ever had and I’ve had all kinds of burgers in more states than I’m comfortable to admit haha.

2 of those burgers weren’t burgers at all. Yes, you need meat. Most had so much glop on them, that it says “this burger would suck without the wing man of burger glop.” Luger was a cop out. There is no superlative burger in NYC. Go there for pizza and cappuccino. Then you went for the gimmick giant burger. The juicy Lucy is good, but it’s also a gimmick. Really most of these are just hype and while I don't know if they taste good or not to me simpler the better you don't need to get fancy. And sorry a veggie patties while I had some good ones should not be considered a burger as the whole point of burger comes from hamburger and without it making it basically a veggie patties sandwich.

Number 15: Burger king foot lettuce. The last thing you'd want in your Burger King burger is someone's foot fungus. But as it turns out, that might be what you get. A 4channer uploaded a photo anonymously to the site showcasing his feet in a plastic bin of lettuce. With the statement: "This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King." Admittedly, he had shoes on. But that's even worse. The post went live at 11:38 PM on July 16, and a mere 20 minutes later, the Burger King in question was alerted to the rogue employee. At least, I hope he's rogue. How did it happen? Well, the BK employee hadn't removed the Exif data from the uploaded photo, which suggested the culprit was somewhere in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. This was at 11:47. Three minutes later at 11:50, the Burger King branch address was posted with wishes of happy unemployment. 5 minutes later, the news station was contacted by another 4channer. And three minutes later, at 11:58, a link was posted: BK's "Tell us about us" online forum. The foot photo, otherwise known as exhibit A, was attached. Cleveland Scene Magazine contacted the BK in question the next day. When questioned, the breakfast shift manager said "Oh, I know who that is. He's getting fired." Mystery solved, by 4chan. Now we can all go back to eating our fast food in peace.

For everything that exists, we assume that, somewhere, there must be an example which is Best. Best Hamburger, the subject of so much KZbinage, needs to face an uncomfortable reality: Hamburgers aren't very good and can only be tolerated when drenched in many sauces and toppings. To distract us from this taste impairment some have pursued another quality, tall, so many toppings! Here is a thought experiment. Take one of these tall guys, remove the burger and set it to the side. Now consider the bun and toppings on one side and the plain burger on the other. Which would you rather eat? Let us free ourselves from the tyranny of fried beef and find a new home for our wonderful toppings which several gods have given us to enjoy in their names!
