i would add to the list haechan admitting to stealing mark's first kiss as a trainee and mark saying he got angry but not because haechan kissed him but because there were adults around and he felt shy (they are both from nct)

2:43 I can give a bit more context on this boy saying his ideal type is a guy. I was a huge fan of this group, Romeo, and this is Kangmin. He was only 16 at the time of this interview, if I'm not mistaken, and he was the maknae of the group. Kangmin definitely didn't mispeak or anything, since he isn't a foreigner, so it wasn't an accident that he said that. Personally, from what I could observe of Romeo, the other members probably knew already, they just didn't expect Kangmin to go ahead and say it in the interview like that, and I believe they were just trying to protect him. For starters, Kangmin was also most probably not the only one who was not straight in the group (I'd say most of them were probably not straight). I see many people assuming that this moment was Kangmin coming out to the members as well, and that their response was honophobic and unsupportive, but I personally don't think that's the case, as a long time fan (of course I could be wrong!). It was also around 2015 or 2016, so things were even worse in the industry back then than they are now. Anyway, I've always felt really proud of Kangmin for saying this to the camera (THAT'S MY SON OK) and I'm glad that there seemed to be no repercussions to this coming out of sorts, probably due to how deep in nugudom Romeo was, so no one cared, and how I imagine many Koreans didn't take it seriously. I miss Romeo a lot (and still listen to their music to this day) and it's such a shame that they never got the recognition they deserved, so they went inactive, basically quietly disbanding. Side note, but there's another Kangmin moment that's relevant to this topic: a few years later there was a Romeo live where Kangmin and Minsung were caught on camera kissing on the lips (briefly) because they thought they were off camera. They noticed it right after, looking at the live on a phone, and Minsung started to explain himself, saying that they were just joking around and *pretending* to kiss, and that they both liked girls 😭 It was painful to watch. Meanwhile, Kangmin looked really nervous, and agreed with what Minsung was saying, kinda smiling and laughing awkwardly, then added "Yes, girls are the best" ASFLGHSJGKDLDH He had a fan in his hand and started furiously fanning himself, the poor guy 💀

agree it’s frustrating when idols use purposefully non gendered language and the people around them question it, cause i do the same thing in real life when I don’t want to lie about myself but don’t really want to come out to whoever I’m talking to, so it being acknowledged forces an answer out 😣 imo I think in the clip with romeo though the other members knew but thought he’d said that by mistake and wanted to protect him. Unlike one of the most uncomfortable/upsetting moments in kpop for me, when zico literally outed taeil in block b’s world camp dvd and only one of the other members seemed to understand how intense that was and tried to take the attention away from it :/

13:02 Everyone should have the right to date whoever they want. I really wish that the same fans who fight for idols to date (especially idols who are straight) have the same energy towards the idols who are gay, bi, lesbian or pansexual. Some fans advocate that idols should date but what about those idols who can't date because of the fact that their sexuality could end their career? I saw this video of Mark (NCT) where fans were saying that his future girlfriend/wife would be so lucky to have him, and it made me realize that assuming someone's sexuality could also be assuming that they are straight because why are you assuming the gender of his future partner when he never spoke about his sexuality before?!

2:42 idk this group but i always feel bad for this guy when i see this clip, not saying his band members are homophobic or anything (like maybe they were just trying to protect him idk) but i wish he could've said what he said without it being seen as weird/shocking

Didn't one of the super junior members basically just come out? Idk I don't follow them cuz they're messy but 🤷‍♀️ I bet the homophobic one is happy about that
