The Anime is on hiatus for 6 months so in the mean time they are releasing a remaster of the fishman island arc which originally released in 2011. This is the new opening and ending for the remaster.

For the "new" opening, that's the voice actors of the Strawhat Crew singing the opening of this older arc that just got a full on remaster that is airing right now, while the Anime is on break so they don't have to drag it out to not catch up to the manga. Also, One Piece isn't seasonal. It just keeps airing weekly, usually. The fact it's on a hiatus right now until early next year is honestly really weird, but that's why we got the remastered arc instead.

The One Piece anime is on its longest hiatus since it started, but the studio is gracing us with an older arc REMAKE while we wait. By the time you watch it, you should be able to watch this arc in the remake (updated visuals, better pacing, updated audio). The Opening is actually the old Opening for this arc, except it's voiced over by the Strawhats. The visuals are completely new for the opening and looks amazing. The ED is completely new since at this point back then One Piece had stopped endings. Only recently they brought them back. If you like Naruto, then you'll definitely love One Piece.

You guessed it correctly. This opening is a remake of opening 15 "We Go" but sung by the main cast (Luffy and his crew) instead of the guy who sang We Are (Hiroshi Kitadani sang the original Opening 15). These songs are made for a special re-edited version of an arc thats in the early 500s of the show in terms of episodes. Since the anime ia going on a 6 month break to work on the animation for the current arc they are releasing this new version of a past arc weekly in the meantime. It has been shortened from 58 episodes to 21 episodes with all filler and non-canon scenes removed and new sound design + modern animation. Opening 15 is the opening that aired when this arc first aired so they had the main cast do that song specifically for the remake.

this opening is a cover sung by the voice actors, it's initially the opening 15 of the show, We Go, sung by Hiroshi Kitadani who sung We are or the latest opening from the previous season. Currently the anime is "on hiatus", they are rebroadcasting a previous arc with better pacing and new filter on the pictures. For the occasion the opening from this arc was remade with the voice actors singing, like how they sung We Are in the past. We Go is the opening starting the post-time skip era or the "New World" saga which is basically the second half of the story, so it's like the We Are for this part.

Ya this is definitely some VAs singing it (first one was definitely Luffy's VA). Not sure if it's the actual new season's opening or just a special opening as all things shown in this opening were from an earlier season's arc (first major one after a time skip that occurs in the anime). Lol, just got to the end of the opening (was typing the above as it was going) and it does says Special edited opening. The song was the same song used for the first opening after the aforementioned time skip's arc just with an actual singer, not VA, singing the song (you reacted to that opening if I'm right). Said opening was also a callback/remix of the very first opening too.

I really, really hope you get to watch One Piece soon. One thing I will say, when you eventually get to one piece, try to avoid spoilers about one piece in general because by the time you get to it, it will be very near its end or will have ended when your a good way through. So the ending will be spoiled almost everywhere on social media.

Normally, the anime RARELY, almost NEVER pauses. It just goes on and on, arc after arc, and at most gets a few "slightly lower effort" repeats, summaries or small side-stories instead of a full on new episode, to take a one to two-week break. Normally. Right now, it actually kinda does pause for longer, after we got a lot of banger animation and the animators just need a break. But to not leave us COMPLETELY without any One Piece, they remake an older arc, which is what they brought back that OP in a new version for, and now made this ending for (the original Arc was completely without an ending song I believe)

I don’t see anyone fully explaining, so, the anime is currently on an unprecedented 6 month break to reorganize; produce better, more streamlined content. And in the meantime a prominent arc of the original anime is being remade. Thats what this is. Another studio is working on a complete remake of the anime from the start. One that condenses the story by more than half. It won’t get to this point for several years though, no matter how much they cut.

I'm sure you've read 100 comments on it by now but the jist of it is, as you might already know one piece doesn't do seasons, it runs constantly but sometimes has 1 week or 1 month breaks to let the animators chill - the current arc, Egghead Island, though already amazing is about to go so unbelievably crazy that the anime is currently in a 6 month break to let them improve the animation and sound effects etc so they bring their A game when it returns in April because this arc deserves everything. They have a team working on this so we're not starved for content, it's a remastered and filler-less version of an arc that was....underwhelming when it first came out circa 12 years ago, so this is their chance to fix the legacy of the arc. It's also the only post-timeskip arc they can get away with doing, there's another that could do with remastering and un-filler-ing but it's just too long of a job (c. 100 episodes originally). One Piece is unilaterally the best anime I've ever seen/manga I've ever read. I binge-read 1024 chapters 3 years ago after breaking my kneecap and being unable to walk for a few months after the surgery. Best decision of my life. It hits story beats and themes you wouldn't expect from some of the goofy character designs and has 3 of my top 5 most emotionally potent backstories in anime, about to be 4 when it comes back off break but I can't say any more. 11/10 would recommend this as much as I would recommend AoT, don't let the length scare you, the sooner you start the sooner you're caught up!

Just do it. Watch it. A non-voted in Anime! Even just 1 episode a week is better than 0, and will eventually have you catch up faster when you decide to allocate more time to it, than if you watched 0. It's scary to think, but One Piece will be ending. You will want to be caught up by the time it ends, because nothing will be able to contain the spoilers. I won't be surprised seeing One Piece spoilers in the news, by the end of it. So starting sooner than later will give you a solid chance of being caught up before then. "Breaking news in from Japan! The One Piece has been revealed to be the friends we made along the way! We will be right back after this advertisement with the weather forecast."

Its understandable you associate the fun and good vibes with one piece since its what its usually known for, and what it usually shows to someone from outside, but don't be fooled. one piece can hit you with the hardest to watch, most depressing and brutal scenes in anime. Its not that popular for nothing, the amount of constant quality you get is out of this world. This new opening and ending are from a remaster of a section of the anime that was poorly adpted. Also, something you seem to not be aware of, one piece is not a seasonal show like most. its constantly on going every week, with a few pauses and fillers in between. Its been airing pretty much every week since the late 90's
