I don't craft. Too boring and tedious. What I do is buy it or kill to get it. I've killed almost 2000 people in this game. And have a ton of Legendary and Superior weapons to show for it with nice mods on them. Sure. It's RNG. But there is always another deserted or abandoned facility in a level 60 or above system. Just kill everybody there and take all their stuff. You'll get what you want eventually. And keep leveling up your character in the process. What a hoot.

Does it end up costing a lot of credits to buy your gear? Or do you still feel like you get enough credits
@frankiechan9651 Жыл бұрын
The way I do it is where it ends up in your inventory. If it ends up in Resources - it's useful and can be used for crafting. Junk ends up in Miscellaneous (but for some reason Digipicks and credits end up there too. Food/drink goes in Aid - so if you're wondering why you'e encumbered or your ship cargo is overfull - clear the stuff out of there. Ammo has no weight - so buy/grab all of it. You eventually get to the point where you'll only pick things up that are worth big $$$ as you otherwise waste hours just trying to sell junk.

Hahah that’s me, I wait 24hrs to reset NPC shop credits so I can keep selling all my random stuff

Yeah some dude said something about grabbing coffee mugs cause you'd need the ceramic for crafting.... but mugs don't have any crafting properties, just something to sell for a couple bucks

There's also a blue box you can shot to open and use another object move it around by holding the pickup button which lets you move an item to hold the lid open of the box then you can take it's contents, it's rare I think to find items in those boxes but it is possible.

Thank you, this cleared up a few questions I had. I’ve been playing both FO4 and Starfield, back to back. I kept picking up a bunch of items that would be very useful in FO4, but not at all in Starfield. Great vid!

Hahah no problem! I did the same thing when I started starfield, picking up useful looking “junk” items

Honestly, when it comes to resources and crafting components, if you don't know for sure you need it, let it rot. It isn't worth lugging around. Likewise with food, if it only heals some measly amount of hp, let it rot. Though worth noting that some things, like cheese, might be needed to craft, so you can make other food that isn't worth using ;) What you do want to loot, especially once you have a few levels, are guns. Ones with a good weight to value ratio. Just the best all around cash loot. Easy to sell, best value to weight ratio, and fewer clicks.

this was my 1st playthrough. the usual packrat mode. until i learned how items work in this game. it's not like fallout, es, or even fo76. no scrapping. misc junks are for selling or outpost decors only. just buy most of the required crafting items from vendors - akila & na. they're all cheap. focus on weapon research & crafting first. a normal weapon can become op once fully customized. i'm on ng+11.

@PoxiiPro0 haha! I lost my venator armor. don't know where i dropped it. so i had to speedrun complete again. also, i decided to reset the main quest instead of skipping. my ng+10 i skipped it, but it felt uninteresting without clear direction. so this time, i can now waste time investing to outpost, everything at my ng+11. for me, skipping main quests are good only for speedrunning ng+ from 1-9. also, you can't carry any items to each ng+. only char levels, skills, & power levels. at least with fully leveled up weapon crafting skills, you can just fully customize any normal weapon. the lodge always gives you great normal weapons from each ng+ beginning..

@@elderroll4017 whats the perks of NG+? Do you become really leveled?
@elderroll4017 Жыл бұрын
@PoxiiPro0 starborn & starship level. max level of starship is at ng+6. max level of starborn armor is at ng+10. each ng+ gives you a different variant of starborn armor with higher stats. the hunter one, all black, is the final at ng+10. also you're guaranteed to level up each completion because of the final xp amount. phase time power also levels up automatically along with each ng+. if you have it on your 1st playthrough, by ng+10 it's lv 10. the rest of the powers, you need to acquire them again each ng+ to level them up, which is very tedious. you can speedrun ng+ in around 30-40 mins. set it to very easy mode, familiarize the artifacts location, phase time is very useful at speedrunning to quickly kill bosses. it's the most broken power at higher levels. it's completely optional, but if you want to get the venator armor, go! I'm already at 90hrs in my 1st playthrough, then i learned about ng+. i stopped everything, & proceed w/ ng+10. haha
