Do you prefer using the drive-thru or going inside to order?

Customers making overly large orders in the drive-thru is usually the biggest reason for slow service.
@jamesedwards.10693 жыл бұрын
Yes, large complicated special orders at the drive thru are the worst. But I've also noticed that the person in front of me in the drive thru is often there waiting for an eternity then you see their stupid effing parfait dessert thing handed to them, often enough to see a pattern.

I think the worker are also to blame too, I have been to drive trus and the workers take forever to even ask "How can I help you today?"

Besides issues with menu items. Businesses keep lowering their labor budget within stores. Pulling cars ahead also has to do with drive thru goals most places once you pull up to the window they have 60 seconds to get you in & out. Yeah. Drive thru times are lengthy now compared to yrs ago.

As someone who works for a chain as a Drive Through cashier/order-taker, I will 100% get behind 3:03 and it's big message at 4:07-4:09. Know what you want before you pull in, or if you're a first time customer, let us know so we can appeal to you what we have. I won't speak of whom I am employed by, but it's no joke. You sit there, taking two minutes to order, where we at the Drive-Through have three and a half to get you out of our window; preferably, yes, with your food.

Problem is these food companies are not supposed to be like Amazon, where metrics are carefully tracked,but they try this timing. It makes for ,imo, disengaged workers and customers drive unnecessarily possibly damaging a rim or ripping off their bumper cover on a parking stop or....hitting another car. Just service 1 by 1 and move on. These corporations are understaffing and underpaying employees as it is. Their food is overpriced and they want to get customers thru faster. You can't try to rush food. You obviously see the results when you go to a fast food joint. They need to ease up on these people

@brochacho81563 жыл бұрын
Why ?
@okhotrodder Жыл бұрын
The employees are using it for their advantage, not because it's taking longer to cook your food. If they drop it when you order it, it'll get done in a timely manner. Plus they keep changing menu's, taking things off they have and putting stuff on the screen most don't buy. I was told once, it confuses workers to order a plain burger over them having to put all the toppings on it. Bs. Doesn't take 2 seconds to take a patty, put it on a bun and wrap it. I tried the app and they won't even start the order till you tell the order taker your there. Then they tell you to pull into the special order lane and the wait is longer than if I didn't use the app. Plus same chance of them getting the order right. If workers keep getting lazy and not care about serving people, then the companies will replace them with ai to stream line the process. I've heard some have already went with ai, machine operated with very little issues.

@@astoldby I'm sorry you had a bad experience, that's more of a personal level of butt-headery than the store's fault itself. Where I work, we wear headsets and a ding goes off when your car hits our pressure plate at the speaker, so we know when to immediately acknowledge you.
