I love seeing mystery boxes opened, but they will never be for me. This is a prime example of why. Why...? Cheap mystery packs, especially $1.25-$3 packs are a way of shops to get rid of duplicates & stock that doesn't sell. He's at fault for buying multiply cheap packs. You can't even find a single issue book nowadays for $3, expect Spawn, & perhaps a few other issues. His fault, he should be ashamed for acting like a child. This is how shops get rid of old stock. We comic book collectors all know this. 30 $1.25 packs, & 10 $3 packs? You kidding me. C'mon. lol

I have just done the same thing. 30 bags for £1 and 5 for £2:50. Some ok books in the cheaper bags but the premium bags were a waste of time. 20 comic in all and 12 of the were doubles.

Not only were they duplicates, but it appears they were packed in the box in the same order over and over again. Which leads me to believe they just had stacks of the same comics and were filling mystery boxes with them assembly line style. Not a lot of value for your money there. Glad I knew who it was so I can avoid them.

Wow, that's the worst FP grab bag selection l've ever seen. Very unlucky. I got 120 yesterday, 4 Marvel, 5 DC, the rest Indies, and only one or two duplicates. Think it's down to the packer at the time, whether they can be bothered to mix everything up, or just bung the same packs in a box to speed things up. Looks like you got the latter. I feel your comic book rage! I had to laugh when you ripped one up though, l'd have probably done the same!

Your not alone. Life is strange issue a great comic and games series . On the MGB's Members of multiple FB comic groups have been buying tonnes of mystery bags because every so often a member somehow found a big money book or ( and I think it is fake situation to hype up the grab bags but an expensive graded book ) the majority have ended up with 20 to 50 copies of the same books some 100 to 150 copies of each . It's just ridiculous. Forbidden planet has a big enough selection and they just use all the tat that doesn't sell

I have only ever used FP once and I bought 2 TWO grab bags and 8 out of 10 were the same book just different covers. I got 3 different comics in total but 1 of them 8 times. 😄 I never went back. However FP know they're covered by stating you may get duplicates when ordering multiples so what can you do- Annoying. Unfortunately I know several folk who did the same as you and now have 40 issues of junk. Sad state of affairs for such a big retailer

Hey Jason, I feel. I just opened 30 standard packs and 30 premier and the duplicates was astonishing. Some quite nice issues mind you overall, and had a few 1:25 signed star wars variant which made up for the crazy lot of dupes. They were really cheap but they are not exactly going to get much repeat orders or give some new readers a bunch of new materials to get stuck into. Not sure what the staff are thinking, they are probably like 'look at this guy buying a load of bundles, lets just load them up with dupes, there should be no reason for them not to pick a bunch of more ransomness, and seems weird to me, it is bound to piss a lot of people off dispite the cheapness. I have had quite good results when I have ordered 10 or so grab bags but this last lot, i would guess I have maybe 30 difference comics out of 240. Cheers from Scotland :)

I don't see the problem. They aren't advertised as "mystery boxes" or mystery anything really, just cheap "Grab Bags" of comics. It makes it clear there are high chances of duplicates for multiple buys and I would guarantee they aren't aimed at the bulk buyer looking to hit that valuable comic out of a £1 or £2.50 pack of comics and more for, as the actual website and shop listing states, for those looking for something new to read or increase their collection.
