FACTS! When uncrustables made their grilled cheese, many a moon ago, my grandma would let it get to room temperature and then toss it in a comal (flat cast iron griddle) with a little butter to toast it up. Best. Thing. EVER.

Can I ask whether you've tried freezing softer foods like cakes or this PB+J pie/sandwich first? I'm not sure how long it takes for the silicone mould to set, so whether it would be in there long enough to defrost & the additional water content would mess up your mould? Really been enjoying your designs & watching the process, so have been curious about this after seeing this crustable, croissant & cakes being so tricky to remove after! 😊🥪🍭🧁🍰

This is pretty funny to me because in America, when you run out of lunch money, they would give you Uncrustables, so this sandwich was literally for us peeps that couldn't afford school lunch 😭

My dad wouldn’t buy a lot of certain things growing up like “junk cereal”. One time we were at Costco and I ask if I could get uncrustables because I always wanted them and he said yes. I was so happy. When we got home and he saw what they actually were he was pissed because we could just make them as home for way cheaper. lol. Never got them again until being an adult. They are really good to just keep frozen and throw in the toaster. If you’re going to eat them fast you can just defrost them all. But for me I don’t eat them fast enough for that. So good toasted though. Actually I would love to start preping different foods and i could totally hand make these. By that I mean still using store bought stuff but make them from that stuff. Actually if I learn to make homemade breakfast, and peanut butter and jelly that would be so good. I definitely will have to try that eventually a few years from now.

My big thing with uncrustable, as a kid was the fact that I liked that they were sensory friendly by removing the crust, but the problem I had with them was one there were so many preservatives in them. My mom wouldn’t let me have them and the fact that they only had peanut butter and jelly as an option For something that supposed to be sensory safe my mouth did not appreciate peanut butter nor did my taste buds. I would’ve really liked it if they had a cream cheese and jelly version. Sadly, they did not until this day. I’ve never had an uncrustable.

If you have a porous object that's sucking up the silicone, seal it with acrylic or lacquer spray or even spray mod podge. Then mold it. This was close to where I would have sprayed it. I hate scraping the mold and damage it..

You should try adding a thin layer of the silicone to hold in place and once it’s a little solid top it off with another layer! Might be a little more time consuming but may stop the items from floating. Sorry if you’ve tried that, new subbie! 😅

My favorite part of bread IS the crust. And the border of uncrustables was so nasty. Whenever I had one, I would tear the whole perimeter off and throw it away. My mom ended up actually getting this uncrustrable maker that was kind of cool though. It cut the bread and pressed the edges together at the same time

I just don't like jelly and peanut butter together. Actually I don't like jelly, I prefer jam. I'll eat jam on toast, and I'll have a peanut butter sandwich, but I don't want the two to ever touch each other. So I never liked uncrustables. They were a generic option for a school meal at my schools, tho so the option to have one without buying them was always an option. I'm 24, tho. idk how old you are.
