fun fact: most of these missing mods and textures might actually be from lazy developers not making an actual attempt of keeping assets up to date with newer versions, which means mods from fake wierd websites could also have the same problems since yknow... they barely do any work and just yoink mods from others, this same problem may also appear with older mods, thats why an "outdated" category exists on the mod forums, incase you stopped updating a mod and dont want others downloading eventually broken mods

I respect the work the modders put in their mods and there is nothing wrong with not being the god of modding but they should declare them as "in development" or something and not just scaming people with pay-mods. Sadest thing is the Safrane because I would be pretty excited for a well made mod. Great video!

the thing with these mods is that they arent made with the intention of quality, they're not "in development", they're shitty mesh slaps, made to be as low effort as possible, because a good chunk of the 12 year olds playing this game wont know the difference between a well made mod that fits in with the game's lore, and a shitty roamer "trackhawk" mesh slap with a model taken directly from forza and about an hour of effort put into getting the jbeam to function, in fact barely any of the people actually making these mods have any sort of understanding for how jbeams even work, they just change mashes and call it a day

I use quite a few of the mods from the guy who made the Touran etc, mostly because he did a Golf Mk5 (which has a whole bunch of problems too but hey, it's my IRL car so it's cool :D) but I have never paid a penny for any of them because it's criminal that he actually charges you money. I can understand people charging you for well finished mods but just so many bugs/glitches/imperfections should be taken care of before you even think about putting them up for money.

Honestly man, as bad as some of these mods are, just for traffic they aren’t bad. But to drive them yourself, yes, they are awful. Usually most of the no texture or bad deformation happens when you drive the car hard, or crash it. So just for traffic, these mods are great.

@@suougashuin9030 You should buy more ram because 8 gb is pretty small for a graphics card like you have. I have a gtx 1660 super and 16gb of ram and beamng runs good for me. If you want to run any games smoothly then 16gb of ram is what i would say is the minimum for smooth gameplay. A brand that i can recommend is Corsair. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

Is it wrong for me to feel sort of bad for these developers? I mean, I create very detailed cars in Automation, that sometimes take days to complete just the 3D model. I feel absolutely heartbroken when all that work results in a giant pile of messy polygons, with no interior functionality (except for those vehicles with digital gauges that actually work) and very few parts that can fall off. (basically when the Ellisbury update got released the fixtures are much more firmly secured on the car and now practically only the wheels and engine fall off) It satisfies me to see the cars deform semi-realistically, and if the developers managed to solve those major issues like the missing glass texture glitch and polished the interior more, I would honestly give these mods a try. It's fun to have a large variety of not-so-popular vehicles that you see everywhere in Eastern Europe, I would say even more fun than just customizing the cars that come with the game.

But you are not charging money for your mods. They do. And their mods are not cheap most of the time. For example Zvezdan want from 6-10e for 1 single car. BeamNG costs around 24e. So you can get 2 very bad mods for a price of the game. That's stupid in my opinion. :D Zvezdan never learns btw. He just makes mods to make money, he doesn't care if the mod is trash. People buy it anyway, which I don't understand.

Still, I've seen some free mods on Modland, just like the ones you showed (they might've even been from the same authors, since the way the screenshos were taken looked somewhat familiar), and that's why I was thinking that they probably put much more work in compared to me, and they still just ended up with another run-of-the-mill meshlap. That's why I at least respect them for trying to come up with something decent, but they should NOT be asking for that much money. (here 20€ can literally buy you food for a week)

It is awesome actually. JambaJoe just STOLE this Cherokee from Kenemation (original author) and he tried to "update" it (or idk what he was trying to do) and he somehow made it worse. :D Because if you open the zip file with that Cherokee, it literally says "CherokeeFIR" (Firby is the original creator of that Trackhawk) :D
