Jules, this is one of the best lessons on playing and understanding double stops. Showing how to play using the A shape and E shape over a pentatonic scale was a light bulb moment for me. Fantastic Lesson!!!

I have been looking for such a beautiful "double stops" for a while, and just found this one really fascinating but simple. Learning to practice the lesson is another issue though. But I cannot thank you enough, Jules. I also love minor Pentatonic which you incorporated into the lesson. Brilliant! I keep following you.

Just watched your amazing video of the 2 MIMs strats! Awesome playing and channel. I've a question as I have a classic vibe 60s 2015 that has narrow tall or vintage tall and the black fsr MIM strat that is the one that looks like gilmours but has the 3 ply guard with he white middle layer hah. Anyway I got mine in 2018 when the guy had it new for 3 months. He had it set up before I bought it. Like new. I learned more since 2019 playing more guitars. But I haven't had another MIM to gauge the medium tall frets to. Mine has the maple neck like yours spaghetti logo and all but 21 fret. I noticed my fingers seem to touch the fretboard more than the classic vibe. I was wondering if that's normal? Or did I not knowing buy a strat that they leveled too low? It's not real bad but it's surely not as jumbo as I would think medium jumbo as. Thanks man!!!!

Not only is this a great lesson also learning to play something that sounds great. When you started at the bottom of the neck and went up in sixth's does it follow a formula like MMmMMMn

If shape 1 = G string a fret higher than E string and shape 2 = both at same fret, then the pattern would be: 1,2,2,1,1,2,2. Although I more think of it around chords, so shape 1 always occurs as part of a major chord. In this case the three major chords in the key are E, A and B, so you should see how that shape a fret apart is a part of those E shape bar chords. Hard to articulate on here, but hope that makes some sense! Cheers

I would find it helpful to hear a discussion, early on, about the intervals within the riff, and how they relate to the chord or the key. The 'put your finger on this fret" approach is mechanically sound, but intellectually empty
