For the boss he fights at 1:30, have him attack the icewall to reveal a crack. You can pass through this crack during the fight itself or afterwards when you come back. Passing it while in the fight will take the boss with you into the new zone and have him become Ice element instead of Fire, this Ice version is generally easier. Afterwards (or after already killing the boss) return and go through the entire area for some nice loot.

Nice vid! I've been using the mythical Frog spirit for my Ng++ playthrough, I love it. Also using Legendary Qing-Tian Gourd, 1 use but refills after short time. With Jade Essence drink and Turtle Tear Soak it's good for Mana refill. Rocking the full Pelgrim set for the speed and focus build up. I'm enjoying every moment of this game!

I've generally found ice and poison to be the most effective banes you can apply. Farming will against the large skeleton-like spearmen in chapter 2 is the best way to farm will as they give about 400 each and are pretty easy to defeat. Also all collections refill your gourds, any time you collect floating will flames it will refill your gourds depending on the amount of will acquired and all spirits will completely replenish. And if you've done some of the fights out of order no worries, you can still trigger the cinematics for them later as I beat the chapter two boss before I defeated the beetle that you should have already encountered and the boss was still there to initiate the sequence even tho I had already defeated him.

Best will farm is chapter 4 webbed hollow - pool of shattered jade. Need ashen slumber transformation (two headed rat) explode in center of hanging web sacks. 3k+ will, plus silk, gold, and exp. 30sec cycle.

I just beat the game last night, immediately went into new game+ and already at chapter 4 as of this morning, i was trying to beat absolutely every single boss but my 8YO. Did most of chapter 3 and missed a couple optional bosses that im not sure if i can go back or not.

I am ashamed to say that ive not used any of the other 2 stances at all. I just reached chapter 6. I see how cool they look when u know how to utilize them. But the starting stance is just perfect. Since i got good at using see-through, i wasnt used to the fact that pillar didnt have it. Thrust has something similar but it’s a bit too slow for my liking. I might try a NG+ but idk. Any tips on how u guys utilize the other stances?

It's funny to me whenever I see someone complain about the combat being basic and boring just spamming light attacks and heavy attacks. Meanwhile 1:55... and this is only scratching the surface, there's so many more different combos you can do with all the gears/skills/spirits/vessels/transformations that are in the game. The complaint about the lack of weapon variety is also a crazy one to me.... you're playing as Wukong so what are they expecting, sword and shield? lmao

Just run Ng+ you get weapons, gourds, life strand ability, soaks ect all specific to Ng+ also after 3 if you get the true/secret ending you'll get the end game stance I'm sure available for the entire game not just chap 6.

Non-void is the best to me. You can dodge an attack and get a damage buff instantly. Also very low qi cost so it returns in a single combo string.

@@ImNotAfraidOfTheDarkness non able is also very low cost, use it right after your fourth attack in the light attack combo and it pretty much guarantees you're going to get the 5th attack off because it staggers almost every enemy and boss. It also gives you the benefits of being a quick in and out spirit for those attack (and focus if you have the armor) boosts. I don't really feel like I need non-void when I can just see through the enemy or do a perfect Dodge (sometimes) Sometimes I use non able after the third attack because it does a triple Palm strike which is pretty useful as well but the fourth double fist slam is definitely the strongest and it reaches really far

@@ImNotAfraidOfTheDarkness I also really like rat governer, for some reason it has a low qi cost even though it can apply thunderblight to your enemies, increasing your damage against them almost in perpetuity due to it being low qi cost

@Rain1 yea non-able is really good for that stagger, but the mana reduction is why I don't use it that much. I love using evanescence, and sometimes I switch to ring of fire for the relic perk that let's you charge 4 in the circle. There are so many cool builds types in this game 🔥....I hope it gets GOTY

Another thing that helps with will farming besides the DLC outfit and golden hairpin is the lantern holder spirit, I get 3400+ will every time

i hate the arbitrary words like "massively" bcs i tested both gourds, faster drinking and normal, and its literally like a half second or second. only the first part of the animation is faster 😭 he still takes a FAT swig of the gourd, for no reason. and you cant even use gourds while up in pillar stance, he doesnt need the arm for balance idgaf, its just there doing nothing, let the gourd be used.
