If any of these truck end up being 8k$, the entire landscape of dealerships is over. As we all know, a dealership marks up any vehicle that they come across. For example, MSRP on a Ram 2500 TRX is 70k$ while you wouldn't ever see one at a dealership for less than 95k$.

Here’s the thing: Honda learned long ago that they could include these things as standard equipment with almost no price increase over the manual items. How can they do it? The cost savings of not spending money to design, test and stock the manual parts, the savings on the lines and having a bunch less parts to stock, offset the cost difference and sold better as well

It was a Ute not a truck, just like the Holden Ute, Ford Ranchero, Chevy El Camino and SSR, and a few others from Volvo, Lada, and Renault for example that are not available for purchase in the United States. In Australia, Ford and Chevy still sell their Utes, that are still to this day in production. The video shows Australian footage of the Ford Ranchero Ute driving outside of Perth for a Ford Advert made for Australians. A Truck is not on a Car chassis like a Ute is. The Mazda and Chevy in the video are just crossovers. The Toyota is the Kei truck scaled up slightly.

In the USA compact trucks are not made anymore because mpg is set based on vehicle size, so if it's a small pickup the size of a sedan, it needs to get that mpg as well. The old compact Toyota trucks only got 20 city and 26 highway. EPA rated so 18 to 22 realistic.

The approved a loan for $26,000 but with the rules of the loan I couldn't buy anything I wanted and if it's that much money I'd better be in love with it. I ended up getting a used car for a lot less. I still drive my 81 toyota hilux because it's still a better vehicle. It's reliable, cheap on gas, it's a 3/4 ton, and I can work on it all by myself. I was convinced I'd never own a new car because even though they cost more...THEY SUCK. They're built for the landfill. The more crap they have the more goes wrong. Cars turned into a terrible investment. I might pick up one of these. It'd be nice to be able to drive my own car on a road trip again instead of using a rental...well done
