Truly think Merciless is the only S+ set in the game, its really in a league of its own. In 9 pieces you get the equivalent of savage, reflex, relentless, speed, crit dmg, and 2 atk sets. I have DEF and HP nukers in it because its that good. Sure you're wasting the 25% atk, especially with DEF champs, but the combo of savage, reflex, relentless, speed, and crit dmg is INSANE. everything else is fighting for second place.

A notable exception for Slayer that you didn't mention is Wallmaster Othorion. All the bonuses on slayer are practically the same things his skills do, word for word. You just literally amp all his abilities.

Do you truly do a proper cleanse? Are all your artifacts between lvl 8-12? Do you actually use filters for auto-sell (e.g useless life, atk or other campaign gear or 5* gear)?

I have been playing for 5 plus years f2p, and I'm not sure if I just have bad luck with artifacts/substats/rolls or whatnot, but I feel like I should have more powerful champs than I do have. It's crazy to see the top team on Amius hard takes 3 turns to beat it....... what do those artifacts look like for real? Do they just buy sets over and over again until they get the right substats and rolls? I definitely hit a plateau with my endgame, but I digress.

I'll run about 1000 dungeon runs overnight, takes like 5 and a half hours. I have it set to only keep the best gear, %substats, spd, acc etc. After that I will only keep godrolls. And then ascending gear, I'll roll it until I get my desired stat. For F2P that would take an unimaginable amount of time.

I was struggling to find champions that I actually wanted to put into slayer because of it only working on AOE abilities. I decided on Skullcrown who is my campaign farmer (lol) and as a cursed city champion. I also put it no my seer since I only use her for Karma burn. To me the top sets right now are Stoneskin, Protection, Merciless, Lethal (4 piece stoneskin + 4 piece stoneskin) and pinpoint. I think Feral is overhyped. A 9 piece for hydra would be nice, but really it is just a filler set where you use 1-2 pieces. It is probably the best filler set in the game outside of slayer for nukers, but as a 9 piece set I think it is really niche.

9-piece protection is more than just damage in chimera - it's also survivability against the buff steal and damage from that. Plarium seems to have done the right thing recently by making the very best sets (generally) accessible, with the pure pay-to-win sets being more niche.

One thing about slayer is that because it is less desirable for most champs it also means you can use it on champs you might otherwise struggle to justify the high end build. Let's be honest the accessories for both Slayer and Merciless will be similarly limited to most people. Also there is one champ people are running in a lot of teams who is perfectly happy with less then perfect Slayer. Seer. Yeah she had only only AOE skill but it is literally only skill anyone cares about. 9 piece is almost definitely overkill but that 30 armor ignore? Yeah that one is perfect for her.

Hey Ash, big fan of the channel. As a fellow raider, I ask you a favor. Ive also asked this before on a couple other vids. Can you persuade Plarium to change the frenzy artifact set back to what it used to be? My skytouch shaman was the only reason I beat dreadhorn and able to get 6* lethal gear. Especially after Ive invested time, energy and gear into her. I can no longer, for the life of me pass dread horn floor 10. We need to act for this change to occur and prevent any other changes to artifacts. What is going to stop them from changing perception or lifesteal artifacts? I know its been about a year since they changed, basically right after I left the game, but we cant just forget about it. You have a lot of influence and I know if we keep hacking at this, they will change it. Thank you for taking the time to read this long, long, very long comment. I truly appreciate it

a new'ish player (9½ months), I'm lacking protection and stoneskin jewelry, I currently have 7 pieces on my Duchess and 7 pieces on dunelord Greggor (Barbarian faction lord), he places a shield on his A2 and increase attack and increase accuracy on his A3 so 3 buffs so I really like protection on this dude, but I'm lacking a couple of pieces.

Use 9-p Merciless on my Rotos (he solos all arena teams!), 9-p Merciless on Wukong. 9-p Ferral on Venus. 9-p slayer on my Acrizia (how did you snub her bro). Have zero champs in 9-p protection, but thats just me being super slow at rebuilding :D

Slayer is s++. Aoe damage dealers deal insane amounts of damage. It hits much harder than merciless. Merciless is a single target set and slayer is for aoe, theyre practically the exact same thing....ash you need to put your wallmaster in 9pc slayer if you have it. He is the poster child of slayer set. He hits stupid hard. I originally had mine in merciless but switched to slayer and he does double the damage now

I used ma shalled, mikage, senna, and krisk all in 9 peice protection with taras in lethal for chimera and got about 2 billion clash points with brutal and hard difficulty being about 1 billion per fight

Slayer 6 piece is easier to get. I bought the slayer forge pass twice. Only forge passes I ever bought. 1 or 2 piece accessory is more powerful than Merciless
