So we need brake lines and shorter or cut bolts and then we are all set to get the 17z on the car. This is why we do test fits to address any issues we may come across. Zender parts are at the paint shop and i cant wait to see the finished product!

What excites me the most about this build is the fact that it’s a Jetta mk4 / Bora. You have SO LITTLE content about mk4 Jettas / Bora on KZbin… Most people will modify Golfs instead. So seeing this makes me sooooo happy literally !! And he is going hammer with it with the mods is just mind blowing to me. The 17z with 334mm rotors and the Porsche wheels… like man oh man!!! It reminds me of mine!!

The Porsche caliper and wheel combo looks SO good on a MK4. The lack of rotor in that test fit reminded me of the missing calipers in Fast and Furious😂

Hey Christian, we meet last Saturday at the urotuning open house i was the one that helped with the putting the cooler in Christina's car, anyways I may have a set of those stock caliper bolts. I'll look for them tomorrow in the garage. Hit me up Bud.

The wheels with the new calipers looks Amazing, I'd go with the 40mm spacer. Also good to see the rest of Zender body kit go to the Painter/Body shop. When comes to the front fenders I feel the same about how they rust on these Mk4's. I'm sure that my Wagon has some rust on front fenders since it was driven the snow in Ohio, before I bought it to Florida. I'll be at Euro Tripper, bringing my 02 Jetta wagon 1.8t and hopefully my 87 Scirocco 16v.

I’ve been considering this on my TT that has the same brakes. This is really helpful. Quick question; do you need to increase the size of your rear brakes to make sure it’s more balanced braking? Seems that everyone only does front.

I’ve had no issue with brake balance. Now if I was doing more track driving I might feel it more but for daily driving it’s good. I also have the 4 piston rear calipers as well and I plan to add them to the back. Just need to find the right bracket and I’ll also probably upgrade the master cylinder as well at that point.

Which spacers did you end up using? I was planning on using 20mm but after seeing the 30 not fitting here (despite the rotor being missing) I'm having doubts, and might need a 40mm spacer?

@@paleposition 30mm front/rear and then once I bagged the car I changed the rear to a 20mm. But 30mm up front was perfect to clear the caliper.

@@Mk3Smith The wheels I'll run are turbomacs 17" with +35 offset I'll try 20mm and if they dont clear will get a set of 30mm as well ty for the info! Even a year later this man still replying, legend ❤️

The bolts that came WITH the adaptor ARE THE ONES TO USE the factory ones hold the calliper on!

NO THEYRE NOT. The bolts that came with the adapters DO NOT FIT THROUGH THE RECESSED HOLES AND ARE TOO BIG TO FIT THE FACTORY KNUCKLE BOLT HOLE and the factory bolts DO NOT FIT INTO THE THREADED HOLES ON THE ADAPTER BRACKETS. Idk why this is so hard for you. You literally just saw everything bolted up. The factory bolts hold the adapter onto the knuckle and the provided bolts hold the caliper to the adapter bracket. Did you just close your eyes when I bolted everything up?

You dont need to cut that bolt just add locking spacers on them!

No cause it needs to be completely flush on the bolt head side to not interfere with the caliper. Maybe I could use a bolt and nut combo but idk if I’ll have enough space behind the rotor for the nut to fit

Why did you cut 'corner' on the right side of the mufler pip on the rear bumper? You should cut it round, this looks very awkward and sloppy, try with the 'round shaped corner, I think it'll look a lot better.
