Great video for starting players like me. I'm looking to invest into the Ranger class. Are there any in particular that would benefit them apart from Codex? I saw that New Horizon is quite good for Riptide, but it's around 80.

However, disagree on the Maxx analysis. Not that nitro is a worth it pick up, it’s a very expensive M, but u play it right and time your dissolution spheres, while keeping life total high, the Aroura matchup is winnable. I’m a Maxx player, have won both my recent armouries and have a 69% win rate on talishar with the deck, with the losses coming mostly to Nuu and Jarl

Great analysis. As someone who has built multiple decks over going in for the Tunic, e strike, and CNC it makes me feel better about my decision. I've been focused on getting more class legendaries and I bought shuko and mask of momentum for Ira instead. CNC is definitely good for Ira but you're right Erase Face is probably really good too. I hope you can do a video like this every few months.

For Striders, Kano needsthem, Oscilio can use Greaves very well and while it is BiS for Verdance she can play anything as a budget option

Great analysis on Creepers, as a Vynnset main, I strongly agree that it's highly overpriced. They can do one or two, very rarely three activations and ironrot or sutcliffes suede hides are pennies and can give armor or GA on something. It's also only a matter of time before a generic leg piece L comes in.

@@sunnycaljon5319 I think that some jarl decks are running tunic and some aren't. You could consider holding off until the jarl lists settle down a little bit and see if they are really going to run it. I dont think it is 60 dollars better than barkskin, the best alternative, but the deck changes completely with and without tunic

Just wanted to say all your arugments are perfect for "new players". A lot of these cards like warmongers in a lot of decks are unfortunetly needed to max your percentage of winning if you're going to a pq, bh, calling ect. Also in high level play Erase Face is a trap. It's fine in this meta, but 2 blocks in general are very bad. The fact that cnc and weakest link have a 3 block value make them so much better in play. At local level don't invest in them, but if you're going higher it's often a necessary evil.

I always tell new players, Tunic, C & C and E-strike if you're really interested in being competitive. Tunic is absolutely a top priority buy, it opens up a ton of classes to play, E-strike and C&C go into all most every deck in the game.

I disagree. Class legendaries are a way better bang for your buck than tunic. There are not very many decks that currently play tunic, and for the same amount of money you could get probably more than 4 or 5 class chests and play other classes. I also think of E-strike and CNC as tech cards, so i don't see them as particularly necessary. CNC and e-strike are really only required in guardian.

@@rosebud7 Tunic is the number one generic on FAB Rec showing up in more then half of decklists, if it’s a budget concern absolutely look at getting some class specific generics, but buying a tunic will absolutely unlock multiple classes, Azalea is a perfect example, yeah you can get by with the generic, but it is no way on the same level as Tunic in Azalea builds and say this as a Ranger main

@kingludd3618 the issue with tunic is that it is often a sideboard option. The decks that primarily use tunic are assassin, azalea, enigma, katsu, oscillio, kano, guardian. Of these heroes tunic is by far the best equipment in azalea enigma and assassin. If a player is playing one of these heroes I would heavily recommend tunic. Tunic has such a high playrate on fabrec because it is also in the sideboard of many decks for longer matchups. Yes you probably play tunic in vis, dori, boltyn, vynnset, kayo, aurora, fai, etc. but there are class options that are just as good or better in many matchups.

As a new player interested in checking out FAB, I think this was a very good video because it seems like others are not talking about card price vs marginal utility in the manner you did. While ultimately learning must be perused by each individual, I wish your script would have been a little tighter and more focused on expanding why X card is not extremely necessary. While it may seem obvious to experienced players, the implications are lost on new people checking out the game. Let me give a few examples. When you are talking about CNC, why is it best into ninja and ranger? Is it because of locking out defense reactions, destroying all cards in their arsenal, or specifically both? Understanding why might give new player hints on suitable substitutions, or train their intuition about what is good in this game. Why do illusionists ask for the opponent to play all cards from their hand (which lightning strike solves?) Is it because the auras cannot be ignored? Is it because there are no profitable blocks to make? Or is it something else entirely? Once again I think this was a great video because most other creators just go: "reee upgrade armory deck", but I think going just one step further in your explanations would make this a BANGER video!

@Devinchy02 if you're playing levia I would definitely put off buying it in favor of sash. You really only need it against azalea and guardian so I would only buy it when I'm filling out the deck and have basically everything else.
