Fun fact, in the beta before she came out, yanfei's C4 shield used to scale with 75% of her HP but they found out that it was more broken than zhongli's shield and nerfed it to 45%

Zhongli shield would still be better because it is a geo shield which means it can block multiple elements better than a pyro shield, however Yanfei enables pyro resonance, TTDS and pyro aura for VV set

Keqing is my Main and will be forever. She was the first 5 star for me. Also is she super fun to play. I can understand that many players dont like her because of the damage but my Keqing is not the best but she does with each charge attack around 20k to 30k damage without boost. (Im playing her as a physical damage dealer. And I can do all 12 stages of the abyss so I think she is the best. (personally) Sry for my bad english :D Have a great day to all who read this.

@@captainwhisper she's so good at c1! Honestly gladiator's finale + any electro artifact is good. It updated so where you can see which stats are best in the artifact section. I love c1 since it fills her skill + ult really quickly so u can hit shot after shot. I recommend Amenoma Kageuchi or Sacrifical Sword for her, if you don't have a 5 star, they do about the same ngl. Don't keep doing charged attacks though, not worth it. Just keep spamming. I really love her with Mona as well, I am always able to cutscene dodge with mona + keqing (mona first, then keqing), and it's great. For her artifact dungeon(thundering fury), it's insanely annoying, so you need shielders + healers (pyro + geo), if you want to even make it. Do co-op if you like doing that. I'm still building her, but she is a fun character! I love her in a superconduct build but she also works great in pyro and/or hydro. (My team is Mona, Keqing, Yanfei, Zhongli- though I had Noelle a while for my fourth). She's great.

Little advice: never overlook the 5 stars characters of the basic banner (Diluc, Mona, Qiqi, Keqing, Jean). Why? Because, in the long run, if you are a free to play or low spender, they are going to be the only 5 star characters with some constellations... so: build them properly once for all!

Diluc and Keqing are bound to be forever powercrept, sadly. But I recomend building them because they are FUN to use, way more than "one-trick ponies" like Ayato or Shenhe. As for Jean, Mona, and Qiqi, they are actually pretty good at their roles and will forever have situations where they shyne! Sometimes you just really need a cryo healer, what can I say.

i know this might sound a bit sacriligious but i basically have a standard banner account. been playing for 2 years and never pulled on the event banner. and yeah, i'm really happy with most of the characters. admittedly i don't really have a good use for my built dilluc and i feel kinda lucky for not having drawn a keqing yet (well ok, one copy would be cool for exploration with her stilettos and for her passive talent), but as for the rest i'm really happy.

qiqi definitely is one of the characters i use the most, especially in world exploration. using food or dying is not an option and not having full health at every moment in the game i don't feel at ease. qiqi can always heal you, no matter whether you have her ult up, whether the character you wanna heal is currently fighting or even if you aren't in a fight at all. also having an e that goes along with your active character for reactions and additional damage is always neat.

@@mikewilliams3310 that's true, but i also ngl think her elemental skill is cooler than her ult anyways. corrosion dogs and abyss heralds (or was it lectors?). also you got the shadowy husk thingys who get a shield when you are shielded. also sometimes you just take random damage like from falling, explosives or just boars. you won't usually die from that but i just like having qiqi to heal that as well. but yes, zhongli really is awesome and maybe i'm just copium trying to defend qiqi as i don't have him xd

I love using Sayu in a Babysitter team. Klee, Diona, Sayu and then I have rotated the babysitter a couple of times. It used to be Sucrose or Rosaria, then Aloy and now Yae Miko. It is a really fun team although I don't use them for abyss and instead use them on my daily comps or requests.

This. i waste enough all my daily resin just to get a good set for my hu tao, it's been literally 3 months and i still haven't finish getting her full shimenawa set. i mostly get emblem pieces which would be fine if i didn't have all of the characters that need that set built already. and don't get me started with the VV set, or the new set for xiao, or the husk set for albedo and itto since i still need to get artifacts for them too. so i just don't have enough resin or other materials to spare on non meta characters right now, when i'm more focused on getting two really strong teams to finally 9star floor 12 abyss

It's not that we don't want to build unpopular characters, but it cost a lots of resin to build a character (Artifact). Currently to solve Resin issues is to spend money to refill Resin, which is unrealistic for normal players (low spending/F2P)

Good thing Keqing's artifact farm is very resin efficient (You can farm Shimenawa and turn those pieces into Glad pieces), since I don't recommend farming Thundering Fury for obvious reasons. I get it generally though, resource drought is definitely an oof for most people.

The only thing you have to spend is some mora, talent and xp books....you can just swap out the artifacts from your built character that you r not using for that run......it's not that resource consuming as it sounds. Building a character doesn't have to be built to perfection, you can use 2 18% atk sets or Nobless on everyone. It always comes whether you want to try or not....where there is a will there is a way.

Thank you for showing Keqing. She has been my main DPS since I pulled her less than a month after I started playing her. She was my second 5* Star, and Lightning is my favorite element of any RPG. Also, I LIKE SWORDS! And Keqing is beautiful. She's also not a Tsundere, just upfront and blunt... but a sweetheart underneath. I'm never giving her up. Her playstyle is also another reason I play her a lot.

Good luck. Mine is C6 (only got one of those from her banner, and technically she'd be C7 by now, so I'd have her C6 either way) but I don't have a single Qiqi or Jean, and got C6 Keqing before I got Diluc either, so as someone who started playing this game because I wanted to play as Qiqi I know all too well how standard banner RNG can screw you over. Luckily I do like Keqing. I'd be FURIOUS if that had happened with Diluc, the one standard 5* I really don't like.

She's not a significant improvement over C6 Xingqiu and because of his damage reduction/slight healing she might not even replace him on some teams. I'm still saving for Yelan right now even though I need one more Yun Jin constellation just because I like her and do not like Xingqiu, but make sure if you pull for her you're doing it for the right reasons and not because you think she's actually a gamechanging character. And if you do skip her and she gets the Kazuha treatment, take solace in the fact that Kazuha really wasn't a huge improvement over Sucrose, just as people said, it's just that 1: he was still objectively an improvement over Sucrose with no real downsides so people who pulled for him had no reason not to use him and 2: Sucrose was badly underrated before then.

@@shevek5185 Well hopium indeed since we can see some nerfs here and there since it's possible 2.7 might be delayed and mihoyo might still see Yelan as strong. I saw how some leaks how they went through maxing out hp to deal high dmg burst. But with how c0 Yelan would work out, let's see how much dmg showcase can Yelan do once 2.7 goes out. I'm just hopeful since I do want my XQ to be used in other teams, and Yelan for the other team as well.

Definitely need more vids like this. Not everyone has the so-called "meta" comps after all. Speaking of something that's not meta, electro-charge is pretty underrated as it does surprisingly good damage when enemies are grouped up and it can be reapplied faster than any other reaction. Plus it somehow allows other reactions to be reapplied faster as well. Keqing is honestly great for that given how easy it is for her to apply electro, while having something like Xingqiu's burst in effect.

Qiqi would also be fun with an Ayaka freeze team something like Ayaka, Qiqi, kazuha (or some other anemo), and xingqui. Qiqi is a good quality of life team member because she can keep people alive and you don’t have to go to statue to heal all the time.

Consider you *only* have two choices: Keqing and Raiden Shogun In the Spiral Abyss, which character do you tend to go to? Ans: Raiden Shogun has her high-damaging burst + battery utility which makes her powerful in most time-limited challenges. Keqing on the other hand suffers from stamina + knockback from charge attacks, making it difficult to deal consistent damage (also her damage is difficult to amplify because of her damage scalings + element) In the Overworld, which character do you prefer? Ans: Keqing has her continuous, non-burst reliant damage which makes it easy to clear mobs. The handy stiletto she has can give her mobility while traversing terrains. Overworld enemies aren't as tough as those in the spiral abyss so beating enemies is simple. Raiden Shogun on the other hand suffers from drastic damage decrease without her ult. Enemies in the overworld usually die with the initial hit of her Q, making it difficult to regain energy with her burst. What am I trying to point out here? The so-called META only revolves around the Spiral Abyss and only in the Spiral Abyss (and maybe on those difficult time challenge events). There's no such thing as "power crept until obsoletion" in Genshin. There will just be certain characters who are just more powerful than the others in given (and there are a lot of those) situations.

12:15 I can see way more people trying out unpopular 4 stars and/or non-meta/unorthodox team comps in genshin if only the 4 stars weren't locked behind the gacha system for the most part. sure you can argue that we can get some of them occasionally from events or paimon's bargains, but the latter also relies on pulling on the gacha for starglitters - and not everyone has unlimited starglitters stacked up through whaling. (honkai comparison below; just skip if not interested) allow me to bring up mihoyo/hoyoverse's other game, honkai, which is ofc another gacha game for those who don't know. in their other game, A-rank valkyries, which are basically the equivalent of 4 star characters in genshin, can be obtained and ranked up all the way up to SSS(c6 for genshin) w/o ever touching the gacha system since you can obtain their fragments through daily/weekly shops(as well as events) that require materials such as asterite and gold pins which are farmable - so basically for free. even several S-ranks(5 star equivalent for genshin), mostly outdated but some are meta, are farmable. also there's no bs 50/50 in hard pity :3

Yes! I've been saying Bubble Qiqi is super underrated as a dps especially when driving Beidou's burst. Another option for a support character in this team is if you have c6 Rosaria because she both decreases physical res (for bigger bubble pops) and batteries Qiqi's burst.

Keqing's usage statstics is not the same as popularity. Keqing is in fact very popular as a character, but Mihoyo simply does not cater to her playstyle currently, and Electro remains a mess as an element due to Mihoyo seemingly is waiting for Dendro to rebalance the elements before anything else. Just look at fan arts and how much Keqing contents are floating around, from 1.0 to now, Keqing's popularity remains fairly high for a character nowhere close to meta. Basically it comes down to do you want to use Cryo, Pyro, Hydro, and Anemo that are all strong overall and favored by the current gamestate, or an Electro character whose multipliers are a bit low all around despite high attack frequency, this is particularly true for C0 Keqing with 4 star weapon. The only Electro character that is actually strong currently is Raiden, and that has more to do with her kit than her element, and factoring in the fact that majority of the playerbase cannot access Electro's damage potential locked in gacha and that 5 star weapon dependent characters like Keqing is not favored by the meta on top of being Electro, that is why her usage rate is low. Popularity wise, Keqing literally defies all expectations. Broken OP characters being popular a given, but Keqing embodies what Genshin always should have been with a fun playstyles and appealing designs. It's just unfortunate Mihoyo didn't do more to cater to that aspect of Genshin in the balancing attempts.

Take back anything you said about not famous Sayu! I was finally able to get her to C6. Now her healing and burst damage is pretty decent as she scales in EM. Of course it's anemo so even her kick skill hits hard. Fast traveler, cute and "animals wait to catch them".

It's really a fun experiment on team compositions with less popular characters. As my experimental team today, putting any normal attack characters, then put Yanfei and Gorou as the best 4star normal skill buff rotation supports so far. Normal damage is insanely high.

sorry to push my amber main agenda here, but if you have her second constellation, she is an incredible sub/main dps unit, it adds 200% more dmg to her already (talent lvl 1) 123% baron bunny, and allows you to manually detonate it.

If you're attacking with Qiqi and are a BP+Welkin, I'd say try the Black Sword on her, as it provides more healing to help reach as much damage from the Clam set.

I really love Keqing! she is the most invested character in my account and I use her on every weekly boss (and most area bosses). imo her strength lies in her easy-to-use and flexibility. She can easily be the main dps or just a quick swap damage dealer. She's also easy to build into electro damage or physical damage. I only have her at c2 so in some cases physical build can dish out more damage. Being electro, she can utilize superconduct for physical build and overload to destroy shields. She is extremely easy to use, no tight skill timings or team rotation. Anemo Traveler is also worth mentioning. The tornado sucks in people in a huge area and the resist shred is huge. You can group up enemies if you line it correctly, or you can also use the edge of the map in spiral abyss so that you don't need to chase the tornado. Also, traveler's element absorption priority could make big changes in cryo teams.

i sometimes use thouma with EM overload. with raiden with the tempo thouma`s burst shoots out. it guarantees you overload. and with Raidens burst attack having great range. you dont have to chase that hard.

The last footage (w/ Thoma) is close to one, you can replace Kazuha with either Xingqiu, Beidou, Fischl, or Sucrose, or even Raiden -(or maybe Yelan lol but we dont talk about leaks here)- Yoimiya isnt really Bennett-dependant since Yun Jin exists and even a C6 Yunjin can be better than a C6 Bennett in terms of buffing normal attacking characters

One thing I've noticed with Lisa is if you manage to group enemies together not only will her 1 E quick attack apply to multiple enemies it will trigger multiple stacks Use venti to group enemies 1 tap E will trigger multiple stacks on multiple enemies Its inconsistent tho

I got Yanfei in early game and build her, now she is my strongest pyro. She can be insanely good with right weapon and artifacts, her c4 is just bonus. Idk why is she so unpopular but i really like her

Team building is always the same no matter the game. Pick a mechanic you want to use to win the game, then hone every character, weapon and artifact to maximize the potential of that mechanic and then try new things to either overcome your weaknesses or compliment your main mechanic exploitation. A lot of builders in many games usually get hung up on meta, which isn't something F2P players can really afford to follow, so don't worry about meta and stick with what you have and think about what would make your team better, eventually even F2P players can conquer the abyss if they just focus on what they get from their free wishes.

Have been playing since Genshin came out and the 1 thing that I have learned is there are NO BAD characters. Just choose the ones you like build them with good artifacts and enjoy. I main Ayaka but i also love to use my Amber who does around 16k per charge shot.

I *love* this approach to characters who're otherwise written off as non-viable. All it really takes is some thought to pull out their potential, with or without constellations. Though sometimes, enabling that idea to reach its max potential requires you to use characters you might not have any interest in at all because as you've just pointed out, some teammates are MUCH better for certain characters than others, not to mention capitalizing on elemental resonance (duo pyro effects, duo cryo effects, etc.)

Keqing is fun to use in coop as well. Can deal damage on her own, recharge her burst relatively fast, doesn't rely on resonance. The other character in my list who can do this as well is Kaeya, my boy performs so well in coop, he pops burst like 4-5 times per run. Pair him with DIluc and they just do melt together. Another unpopular character, Xinyan also can also stand on her own, I usually play her on that cryo debuff domain when I don't feel like playing the overrated bennyboy, if team can superconduct it's a free real state.

7:51 you're too focused on the "big pp number" aspect on sara's burst while ignoring the fact that Keqing's burst has a way bigger AoE, half the energy cost and 8 seconds less cooldown compared to sara's burst. Same with Lisa, ignoring how much damage her burst does because you're too fixed on that E multiplier. My hypercarry Lisa can do 180K skill damage but her burst can do 16k per tick and it ticks 29 times.

I found that Qiqi is great partnered with Eula and Raiden. Using her burst right before using either one of the two's burst keeps you alive without the need of any shield or dodging.

@@JDubayu I fill em with an Anemo support (Either sucrose or kazuha bc overload causes them to fly everywhere on small enemies but its good on large enemies) but personally i use jean for heals, but would use sucrose in abyss if pyro is in season. Then 4th slot is either: Zhongli - Shield, but pillar breakd the raiden support for yanfei, but i kicked him off bc i have c6 yanfei and her shield at c4 is good enough for bursts. Bennet - Buffs and resonance, and for enegry needs Xiangling, resonance not directly beneficial for yanfei but its good for raiden when she bursts (I use Riaden when all the bursts are used up so she can recharge them toa degree) Or if u want elemental madness Xingqiu (cant spell), helps yanfei and raiden,although if u wanr specific reaction hes not helpful enough. So basically: Yanfei Raiden Anemo Support character for Yanfei, Raiden or both!

May dendro have amplifying reactions with electro otherwise electro as an element is f*cked for the entire duration of the game. Currently, highest damage on my raiden is around 141k with skyward spine r1 lvl90 and my Keqing’s damage is around 58-60k on final slash with r2 jade cutter. But regardless of the meta I’m still gonna main Keqing💜and raiden⚡️ in the future because their play style is best in the game.

A thing about artifact farming, generally artifacts like shimenawa and glad will get you so far you don't have to farm for any other artifact. Been here clearing the abyss using those artifact sets but with different characters. Just pray to RNGesus you'll get enough luck for crit rolls. Afterwards, it's smooth sailing. So all you'll have to worry about is talent levelling, or also collecting mats but thats pretty simple. Because mora can be earned in a variety of ways; e.g. artifact farming (30 mins max, 15 mins if you're efficient, ez 70k mora a day). So yeah, just farm general artifacts, I haven't farmed a single artifact from domains for 8 months already and I've only used the 3-arti-box/sold my artifacts for stonks. Anyways, good luck everybody!

My second team is quite unusual and still needs to get finished: Yanfei (Main DPS - Sacrificial Fragments, 4x Shimenawa’s Reminiscence) Yae Miko (Sub DPS/Enabler - Hakushin Ring, 4x Thundering Fury) Sucrose (Support - Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, 4x Viridescent Venerer) Kuki Shinobu (Healer - Lion’s Roar, 2x Thundering Fury + 2x Maiden Beloved/Ocean-Hued Clam) The rotation is quite long, sadly: [Yae Miko’s burst rotation] [Kuki Shinobu’s burst] Kuki Shinobu’s skill Yae Miko’s skill 3x Sucrose’s skill [Sucrose’s burst] [Yanfei’s burst] Yanfei’s DPS rotation [] means “if available” Notes: -This is a reaction based team so EVERY Sands of Eon piece will have Elemental Mastery as it’s main stat -For now I’m using Jean as a healer but I’ll switch to Kuki Shinobu to activate the Electro Resonance and help she and Yae Miko build their bursts -Yanfei with Yoimiya are the only main DPS’s that can sustain an Overloaded comp as they don’t have to chase their enemies -I’ll use Yae Miko and Kuki Shinobu’s bursts as soon as I get them but I won’t build Energy Recharge for them -if I manage to get Yanfei’s burst I’ll use it just to give her 3 Scarlet Seals and extend her DPS rotation; this means that if I need to switch I will do it without worrying about losing her burst -i’m building Shimenawa’s Reminiscence for Yanfei as I don’t really like her burst -Yanfei will trigger the reaction only for the first seconds of her DPS rotation, then Yae Miko and Kuki Shinobu will take her place because of her Pyro application; that’s why I’ll focus on swirling Electro with Sucrose. -if Sucrose’s burst fails to absorb Electro and instead absorbs Pyro that’s the only case in which I will use Yae Miko as a main DPS -this team is a really hard team to play but will make you feel like you are playing with fireworks! -my Yanfei is C3 so no Tankfei :( -there is just 1 thing this team fears and it’s Pyro slimes as they don’t take any damage from Yanfei, Yae Miko and Kuki Shinobu can’t damage them with Overloaded as they are immune and Sucrose will probably swirl Pyro (so no bonus damage) Tell me if you like my team and what do you think

As a C6 Keqing haver I'm kinda sad that stacking up her multipliers requires using everything in her kit so it can't synergise with Yun Jin. Worth noting that Yanfei's shield scaling is only almost comparable to Zhongli's in terms of base shield health. Because geo shields take 33% less damage against every type of damage, Noelle and Zhongli both have shields that far outclass Yanfei's unless you're specifically blocking Pyro damage (in which case Yanfei outclasses both of them easily). Returning to Yun Jin, Qiqi's status as a cryo or electro physical DPS with a built-in multiplier (her c2) means that if you do have that multiplier, she is automatically a high-tier driver for Yun Jin. Her attacks are fast, but not as fast as they feel, sadly (similar to Yoimiya); She attacks about half as fast as the characters who actually attack fast, like Zhongli, Fischl and Ningguang (also similar to Yoimiya). However, it's still fast enough to do respectable damage, and as far as invincible, fast-attacking physical DPSs with built-in shred potential go, you can only have one Zhongli and he uses up 30 quota stacks pretty fast (and may be needed on another team, leaving your Yun team to cope with Noelle), so while a combination of Fischl and Rosaria may be better overall, subbing Rosaria for Qiqi is still extremely viable and overcomes the annoyingly tedious timing required to run Fischl as a single-target Yun Jin driver while also benefiting from superconduct from her E (since Oz has to expire before Fischl attacks, or her hitrate is halved). Also even if you're using a character with BENNETT they're a driver. As long as you have a character who applies a bonus that can only be reaped when an active character attacks, especially one that scales on the first character's stats, you're applying a bonus to a driver. In Bennett's case, the bonus is pre-motion value, so characters with weak attacks in general won't get as much out of him. In Yun's case it's post-motion value, so all that matters is that they attack fast and have high dmg bonus/resistance shred/crit ratio. In Beidou's and Xingqiu's cases it's applies post-crit, so only attack speed matters (and unlike Yun and Shen, they have a minimum possible proc time, meaning faster isn't always better). What I'm getting at is that most "meta" characters in most meta comps currently are drivers or applying driven skills. Xiangling's Q, Zhongli's E and Fischl's (non-C6) E are some of the few examples of off-field damage sources that DON'T have a driver, but most support skills and most off-field DPS is driven.

I still can't get behind the concept of a "meta" in a (basically) single-player game like Genshin. I believe "Metas" only exists in online multiplayer games (Overwatch, Apex Legends, Street Fighter etc.)

Meta can exist whenever there's any sort of competitive element in a game. In Genshin's case it's doing more damage either AoE or sIngle-target, efficiency in Abyss and so on.

Even though I don’t really play Abyss, I do try to change up my team composition every so often trying different combinations of characters that most would probably not consider using together and to my surprise most times they turn out to be fun to play. In the end every character can perform well, it’s just how you build them and take the time to really learn there ability taking full advantage of what they may be capable of … just my 2¢ 😁

As a day 1 Lisa main it's really nice seeing people finally start to figure out that Lisa is actually a really fun to use character and actually quite viable in a lot of comps, I think people sleep on how much dmg her elemental burst can do as well. I've bought every constellation that appeared in the shop and managed to get the rest though some lucky pulls and I have no regrets. This was really refreshing content in general, great video!
