About voidwalkers, I hate them. They are, as you said, specifically engineered, in every way, to only be a problem for new inexperienced players. The only real purpose they serve is to: A - Annoy and or drive away new players from the game B - Make new players suffer unnecessary for something that isn't their fault and realistically can't be prevented by them C - Force new-players to look up guides and wikis to avoid inescapable death instead of playing the game as it was intended D - all of the above. And of course, exprienced players don't see the issue because it just isn't and issue for them now or never was. They've never had to, (and probably never will have to) go through the pain of stepping on lower Erisia as a new player with the hopes of god forbid, having fun, and not even five minutes after landing, getting ganked by a voidwalker infinitely better equipped and more experienced than you. And they wonder why people don't want to play deepwoken. Here's a hint; they don't want to be punished for being new.

The problem is that it's the same thing nowadays, before, back in the early days of like, WoW, or Baldur's Gate, or Diablo, when there were no wiki or forums, secrets were neat, secrets like that were fun to try and discover, but nowadays everything gets put into a wiki and becomes just general knowledge. I've played deepwoken just a while after its original release on and off, so every time I return, it's practically an entire new game for me. So you can imagine my surprise when I logged in, bought a new slot, got to power 6, POWER 6, and in mere minutes, I had two voidwalkers WITH ENCHANTS chasing me down. This was a while ago, but if I wasn't in vc with a more experienced friend, I probably wouldn't have logged in time. The issue isn't the fact I was voidwalked, it's due to how you're essentially punished for being an inexperienced player- by experienced players. Hearing the sound effect indicating the spawn of a voidwalker and immediately logging is NOT good game design, and the fact top players go out of their way to prevent being on the bounty board altogether only cements this.

That's the biggest problem with any pvp Roblox game, experienced or higher level players will ALWAYS end up ganking less experienced or lower level players, which only leads to the game slowly dying off as no new players stay, and old players leave.

The worst part about the "secret weapon" that wipes you is that even if you do look at the wiki or Trello you might miss it, Usually, I only look at the wiki or Trello when I need to for the items or gear I need, for me if I found a random NPC I would talk to them, see what they want, and THEN check the wiki to see if I want to do the quest depending on the rewards. In this instance if I do that I would probably just get wiped and that is DUMB.

You're completely right on the kyrsgarde that doesn't become hostile until talked to. There's no warning to it and even if lore tells you that the kyrsgarde outside of the city aren't mind controlled you'd be left assuming this guy is safe to talk to because he didn't attack you on sight AND he's on the outskirts of the city! The other problem is the fact that kyrsgarde lancers (thin, tall, ice spear throwers) ragdoll you with every spear throw and I've made a little saying, too, based on this: One lancer's fine, two lancers are annoying, three lancers are unfair. That's exactly how many are dropped on you without warning when you talk to that guy, just because, even though you were not warned at all not even for a second about even the possibility of it happening, and not to mention that the stupid dialogue end also forms a forcefield in your path so you can't escape the combat encounter until you kill them!!

One of the many big appeals of DW was Ganking, having fun server wars. And all that by all accounts was killed with the introduction of Chime. Chime, just like Private Servers in Rogue Lineage, were & was a mistake. The relatively simple fix, is getting rid of Chime, adding the Vow of Bloodshed back (a thing that let you 1v1 people, loss = death) and make doing that give Elo.

Pleekstys inferno was the best legendary weapon ever released, and the best part being the secret obtainment method. It is well liked by the community and 99% of people want more stuff like this (me included), and it being secret is what deep players want more too. Yes, maybe this makes it more of a wiki game but i would rather there be NO wiki page and no one to reveal the reqs so its everyones own individual adventure to find out the reqs and stuff, tho making it secret was so the community would try and all find it together, and the day it released me and a lot of other people in the discord were coming up with all sorts of things trying to investigate the slightest clue and that i really loved. Although, i understand that everybody has different opinions especially when were talkinga bout someone who is really new and someone who has been playing for years. 2:42 To be fair, with the new weapon which was added last friday, not only were hints given in the update logs, (yes that's outside of the game.) but also that the fact that there were hints in game when talking to the NPCS which gives you the new weapon. There were plenty of hints such as talking about pleetsky (that npcs master or wtv) as well as a npc in the overworld called "ploom" which hinted at the new area and again.. Pleetsky, so go figure, when the new NPC wonders if you're pleetsky and you say you are, and with no disguise, yeah makes sense he wouldn't believe you, but if you wear pleetskys armor, again, go figure you can gaslight the npc to give you the new weapon. People who did wipe to it, wiped because of not thinking it through rather then it being a "wiki" issue. TL:DR there were multiple hints both in game and in the update logs on how to not wipe and how to meet the requirements and where it was. Wanted to point it out considering what that comment at 2:42 said..

You'd just get access to the weapon anyways? besides I believe it was meant to talk to him instead to stop bugs/glitches such as glitching through the doors, it was sort of a code vs gameplay choice I imagine.

ok I know you think chime skull are the worst mechanic in a game ever, however, I can name an even worse mechanic in a game that was relatively popular for its time. Criminal Records in World of Magic. Criminal records were gained every time you committed a "crime" in WoM and drastically negatively impacted getting positive reputation from all sources. It also stacked. How do you get rid of them? That's simple. Spend 30 minutes ingame as a hero reputation player... to remove one stack. That's not to mention that hero reputation was like 1k positive rep and with enough stacks you could be getting like 10 positive rep per quest. Something about dawnwalker being the light of the depths and their own confidence (ego) makes it so when they kill you they glow brighter in the depths because they got an ego boost thus letting divers survive longer or something like that. I seriously don't get the fact that layer 2's loot is so horrible compared to other parts of the game like Diluvian, which is basically a cakewalk if you have a good enough PVE build. I'm really looking forward to when they release conquest and when they expand starswept isles when they will expand the locations and release new oath's. I agree that making the NPC for getting the Pleeksty's Inferno kill you if you don't meet the stat requirements sucks, i think they could improve it by making it just send you back to the start or whatever. As for the point of the entire voidwalker thing, voidwalker from my experience is only used for the voideye and nothing else which is just sad.

7:20 the reason they dont want to allow people to get items without beating chaser is due to there being a lootpool of legendary weapons that can be dropped decently often and there only being one required fight before chaser (which is dumb ngl). the diver husks get stunlocked by m1s like mudskippers so you could essentially run down and fight mudskipper level AI and come out with some of the strongest weapons in the game. if deepdrill allowed you to keep items then they'd have to remove the legendary loot pool from normal enemy chests in L2 and the devs seem very eager to not make good decisions recently.

In the armor section you did a good adnotation there are only two exsclusive armors to l2, the Ironsinger Heavy Plates and Bloodforged Crown. Ironisinger is actually the best armor in the game which can have the highest hp stat which is aslo the most important. So l2 does indeed give mostly mid loot and a one good armor piece.

I feel like voidwalkers should be able to grip players they're hunting, it just won't take a life off the victim (meaning if your health is stained, you won't go to the depths and if your health is normal you won't become stained) voidwalkers kill for money, power and treasure, they don't kill to send random innocent freshies to underwater sea hell littered with giant bipedal sharks and purple versions of the clickers from the last of us

i wanted to share my experiance with deepwoken. i have played for around 30 hours and i am TRASH at it i am a walking talking non-npc mudskipper basically. But i like the game and i am trying to get better at it. Anyways i play with my friends who are much much better then me and i try to ask em on how to get better at the game and they start to say shit that i do not know and i am like "what?" and they just say "git gud freshie" i try to look up stuff in the wiki and i do not understand any of it so i am just at a lost always. If the game devs made the game a little bit more beginer friendly it would make the already good game perfect

deepwoken as agame kinda frustrates me. It is extremly good in some areas and has SO MUCH potential as a game, not just on roblox but compared to all the games out there. But certain mechanics (like chime skulls or the fact layer 2 as basically a speedrun simulator) holds the game back so much. If only the devs could revisit some of these mechanics and polish them the game could be SO SO MUCH better than it is right now.

there are actually 2 enemies worthwhile killing besides the boss in floor 1, problem being is that they are PAST THE DRILL ANYWAY. The enemies im talking about are the 2 bonekepeers located in a pathway thats hidden behind the 3 little kerbunklins you find on a cliff while going to chaser

The pleeksty's servant NPC basically wipes you because when people get to him, they glitch thru the requirement walls, in order to talk to him and y'all think its surprising that he instantly wipes you, you glitched thru doors u weren't supposed to go through and interacted with an npc u werent supposed to talk to and you were NOT even supposed be there, curiosity killed the cat as they say

About the npc that gives you the legendary, I'm not sure if I'm fully correct about this, but on another character I tried interacting with the door that takes you to the npc, but it didn't open and I got the prompt "Not master, nor slave" which I believe hints at one of the requirements (meaning you need either the Pleekstys faith, Pleekstys will talent or the flame worshipper armor since the npc is a servant of Pleeksty, the npc being the "slave" and Pleeksty being the "master") so I think each door-there are three doors that the npc is locked behind-won't open if you don't meet a certain requirement and will give a vague prompt as a hint, so I think that the only way you can insta-wipe to him is if you bug into his room(?) but if I'm wrong then it's kinda dumb edit: I've looked up what you need after my first interaction with the door so this is all I know prior to looking it up

I will never understand your take on Voidwalkers. I been voidwalking since early Verse 1, and never clear my rep. I use the origin as the “finding ganks on command” origin basically. Experienced players don’t care about them. Dying in overworld literally holds zero consequence for people half decent enough to leave depths. Like, why would I clear rep when VWers spawning on me is just another source of ganks? I literally only run VWer and occasionally Deepbound and do just fine. It’s just a skill issue. Get good at the game, and you won’t wipe. And get to gank overworld all you want. The people somehow wiping by being sent to depths are learning to get good. So y’know, get good.

The new weapon wasnt even a secret they gave like 50 hints about it and ofcourse in deepwoken fashion none of the hints where about the requirments so like some players wiped trying to figure the requirments out, its not like depths gankers are enough of a pain in the ass, we also need dialogues in the game where they insta kill you in the DEPTHS! Also ALL the kyrsgarde are controlled the ones in the firfire cave legit killed a group of divers led by chaser, they only made them friendly for convenience so the player can continue layer 2.

16:15 yes some players do take rep quests to prevent voidwalkers from taking bounties on them, but if a player is at least decent at pvp they wont do that since they get xp for defeating the voidwalker too, the reason there arnet many max levels on the bounty board is because if they defeat one they dont get a bounty for a long time.

12:25 I may be missing the point with this but lair two is the most if not the best way to obtain some of those cosmetic items, I may self is after the confessor charm and the moonlit earring for a dvm kit I’m making and my two way of obtaining them are either through chaser or a hell mode. Every boss/dungeon has a few items that are best obtained through them, another example being would be the pathfinder elite. Being a valuable item for its stats and drip it can be found through a 3% drop from a squibo (a not very common to find miniboss) or the dulvian a high risk high reward dungeon that grants many pathfinders.
