The Old V&T Depot:
The Virginia and Truckee railroad began operating in 1869, hauling everything from precious gold and silver, to lumber and passengers, to and from Virginia City and Carson City. Eventually their lines would connect with Reno and their lines connecting them to the rest of the country. During the 1870’s business was booming and expansion was needed, a new depot / repair shop was constructed and in full operation by 1874. This massive structure covered 2 blocks, had 11 bays for locomotives to enter for repairs and maintenance, and also housed an iron foundry and a fabrication shop that built machinery for the railroad and other businesses. Once mining activity began to slow down, the railway moved to mainly transporting passengers, even later the need for a railway declined, the engines were sold off, and the shops became less and less needed. The railroad was dying and service to Virginia City stopped in 1939, the last train from Carson to Reno was in 1950. The line was shut down, the rails removed and the building left abandoned for nearly 30 years, the depot in Carson City was torn down and the materials sent away and repurposed in other buildings. The land it once sat on unused for a while with rumors of it possibly being cursed circulating… Eventually hotels and businesses would fill in these 2 city blocks and not long after strange experiences and talks of hauntings were common in the area. Sightings of people in victorian era clothing walking around, strange sounds and even voices and screams when no one else is around, most commonly sighted in one of the hotels, a woman in white that stares out of a window and passers by, and a man wearing overalls believed to be one of the old iron or railway workers. He is said to look very depressed or lost and often ignores those who try and help him. We decided to pay a visit to the hotel that now stands where this historic depot once was, and we were not disappointed by what we found.

I absolutely adore the boys and how they interact with each other and the spirits ..they speak with respect ✊🏼 23:00 Shadow figure -to the right of Ryan..it’s not his shadow - it walks towards him and goes behind him. 37:08 - audible response “ yes” 52:26 - “ I see perfect here” ?? I think that is what it’s saying?? 53:32 - mirror in bathroom..there a light shadow in the first mirror but if you look carefully a dark shadow appears very slightly and disappears seconds later, it’s always around…creepy.

Regarding the 53:33 shadow. It almost looks like it’s peeking around the corner, not necessarily in the mirror. And what’s even more interesting, is right as it begins to disappear, something makes Ryan look that way! And it’s 100% NOT Ryan’s shadow/reflection because the shadow moves at a different time than Ryan turns his head! *nice catch*

I just adore the way Ryan speaks to spirits during these investigations. So respectful and kind. You talk to them as if you’re speaking to a regular living person. Which is what they are, when it boils down to it. They’re still people and still deserve to be treated with the same respect we give to other living humans. Twin paranormal: You could always knock 3 times when introducing yourself, it's like a more connected way of introducing. And could ask the spirits if there from the left or the right, left being darkness, right being good. Apparently they have to answer. So the yes no prism could work good for that. This was a great episode with a lot of evidence! I think a lot of the times, paranormal teams just go investigate and don’t try to help the spirits and maybe that’s why they get frustrated and angry. You guys have a way of communicating with the other side that isn’t normally seen on paranormal shows and it’s so great that there’s a group out there that’s actually helping and not just documenting. This is a weird thing to experience in night vision! You surpassed expectations, Ryan, in your remarkable dialogue: explaining what you are doing, to spirits who may feel you are sus; always reassuring and offering your support, and BRAVO! Again connecting the dots, stating that it is 2021 and your devices may seem strange from their point of view. None of you put a foot wrong! Personally, I don’t think these were demons, I think they were spirits that were stuck in the understanding of 100 years ago or however long ago they passed. If I were time travel and go 100 years ago, with my devices.. I would probably be looked at the same way.. No matter how much I explained. it would just be their religious understanding back then. I think when Edith started saying "Holy Spirit" she was praying because she thought you guys were practicing "witchcraft" , another word she used. She was telling you she was "Religious" because she was afraid. No disrespect to the boys but in Edith's time people did NOT has tats and face piercings. It could be very intimidating for someone from over 100 years ago looking at body modification today. Not only that but the guys are also displaying no fear and actually want to communicate with them. I do believe after so many encounters through these incredible episodes that Ryan is developing his Empathetic abilities and I would not be surprised if eventually he becomes a spiritual conduit for the lost. They’re not actually voices, but sounds coming from inside of the recorder itself. Spirits do not leave EVPs all the time, in fact you are among the lucky to catch a true Class A EVP.

I love how at the end, you can explained to the spirits that you were doing similar things that scientists and doctors would do, in order to help, not physical beings, but those who have passed on. I feel like this was also to put Edith at ease as she was very sceptical about all four of you being there, covered in tattoos and piercings and dressed in ways she was not used to, and using technology that she didn’t know, hence the witchcraft comment. This was such an amazing way to put her at ease, and to show that you are wanting to help the spirits trapped. I love your work. You know, hearing about the guy sitting at the table but not responding got me thinking. I've seen multiple people use the app or device that puts out a word or phrase, and I've seen the box that connects to the radio. Both have been useful on y'all's channel and others. But sometimes you still only get knocks, taps, etc. What if you had a device like a keyboard, an old mechanical one or a new one styled old times, that could register what buttons had been pressed? Maybe out loud with a speaker or just on a digital read out. Even if you left it in another room, or put it in the really dark rooms you don't feel comfortable staying in. I just wonder if they'd like it, maybe the ones that are obviously strong but don't seem to talk.

@@Baka-kun I absolutely agree that it would be similar to any form of written language, but a Ouija board has extremely strong relations already to the supernatural and are often believed to invite spirits more firmly which can be considered dangerous. I was thinking more along the lines of something that would look familiar as an object they may have used before. Also, you could leave it in another room and not be actively involved in it's use.

@@shiggles6638 I feel as that would still be tiring for the spirits as they would have to push down the buttons for it to even process while taps and knocks are fairly quick easy things for them to do to grab someone’s attention. It may just be easier to ask for specific knocks for yes/no questions or even when asking how many people are in a room. If it was a keyboard it might be easier to make one that mimics the same as those tap pianos to get letters out of them so it wouldn’t require much energy if that makes any sense

@@Baka-kun Well I can see where you disagree. In my mind you can find various keyboards with different strengths required to fully depress a button. The other reason I was interested in because of the types of devices people use in these hunts: objects to detect and objects to communicate. Specifically in communication on this channel, I've seen the radio scanner and the single word or phrase device, or yes/no through the various devices they also can use for detection, or objects like the pyramid and flashlight. Now, the flashlight definitely takes energy while the pyramid may take far less. However, yes/no theoretically only works perfectly if you have a single person to talk to who's following along in that exact time and frame. So for something that may take less energy than trying to find a voice, to scream loud enough to be heard across the barrier of life, I think that a familiar item that could be manipulated very easily could work, especially if it could hold a record of what's been entered. But I also feel that if you don't like an item or feel it won't work, it won't. So for your own purposes I hope you find joy in the things you use to speak to the ghosts in your life. :)

Love your channel, but when attempting to communicate with the spirits you rely too much on the K2 meter and other electromagnetic sensing 'touch' devices. You all should use a spirit box and evp recorder more often, so the communication is more definite

The only sound that haunts me to this day is when I lived in a rail road town and someone got caught in the couplers of a train. The train blew its horn for a half hour straight...calling for help and to signal the loved ones where to go. It was the saddest sound I've ever heard. It still haunts me!

I may have commented this before. But I love how you guys take the time to explain the devices and what they do. I always think to myself when I watch other channels and they just refer to the devices by their names and I think to myself now how would a spirit from 20 to 100 years ago know what the heck a rem pod is lol. Or a emf detector but with your explanation I feel it helps them understand how the spirits can use the objects to attempt to communicate. Great job guys!!

Ryan I hope I have the right brother..The one sitting on the chair.The reason why they are drawn to you is because you are able to feel and sense them .I think you are an empath.There was no danger there in those rooms .They we’re there and have been a long time.The lady approx Victorian time the man later fifties .The Kevin is more recent.( I am a medium .) There was movement happening a lot towards the left back and inside the room on the left..The camera kept blaring as a Spirit was in front of it.These Spirits are all intelligent haunts .They are aware what is going on around them.Who is there and in the other Spirits too.That’s not always the case..When you get to the door you all must think of a very bright light at the same time and ask them to go into it.You will then gat a wave of peace go over you .But don’t forget to tell them there will be someone waiting for them there.The feeling you get after is beautiful and it’s very rewarding.Remember they don’t just go to the door they are going somewhere very special ..Keep up the great work lads ..Have a smashing Christmas ..I am looking forward to new adventures next year..Love n Light to you all and your families 🥰
