The red tape bot and the blue tape bot have 2 different models, those bots have the same models as the blue ones, and the reason why they are red is that you can paint bots in and out of capsules.

Seems a lot like they took inspiration from the old lego starwars game(s). specifically the one where there is a lot of white, and c3po or offbrand c3po is there along with r2d2 or offbrand r2d2 to open doors, and there are droid enemies, and things that can break an unusual amount of times. edit: correction: It may not look like it is inspered by it, but it definitey reminds me of it.
