As a new rider this is a great topic for me. I am worried about riding on main streets because I know how drivers do not pay attention or care about the safety of others.

Sorry sis gotta disagree....left land is for passing...passing on the right is more hazardous....will never make in Europe

You are right the left hand is for passing. but if I’m in the left lane and there’s traffic in front of me, where are you, behind me, going to go? so if you’re in a big hurry, go around to the right and cut me off like they always do. 🙈 same for The flashing light people. I think the solution is, at times, we all need to slow down and obey the speed limit.

@@HondaHarleyGurl I should expand on what I said. I really meant for you (me, everyone )to keep right unless you're passing. Or outlier instances where volume is so high that all lanes are mostly filled. Everything works better if people respect this rule ,which is why Europe and even some states can be great places to drive. But most of North America does a lousy job of following this rule and it's rarely enforced, unfortunately. Doesn't matter how fast you're going. Someone else is probably going faster and it's better to swallow your pride and keep the left lane clear when you can. Ride safe out there.
