So glad to see this video...I've noticed a number of influencers are using the current trend switch to move into luxury makeup. I'm sure when you get PR it is nice to have that focus, but I am bummed to see so many influencers reducing the time they give to drugstore makeup. And I see many promoting the falsehood that drugstore can't deliver subtle, neutral mattes. Thanks for continuing to promote frugal makeup.

The fact that you can purchase the same quality in drugstore really pulls into focus the fact our money is paying for name and packaging. I balance my purchases by researching my high end wants, after the viral rush (think virus) dies down and purchased reviews have dropped. I always search for dupe options and leave it in my cart for a couple of months. I’ve not had many fail purchases because of this and really makes me aware of media and influencer influence.

I'm a recent convert to L'Oreal Infallible foundation---I'm obsessed with how well it applies and stays put on my mid-40's acne-prone, rosacea covered face and neck. I use a setting spray, and it doesn't budge through a full day of hot stage lights and hormonal hot-flashes. The medium coverage is the best I've found for a non-matte foundation, and it doesn't get patchy or oily. I'm going to give the Profusion Highlight & Contour palette a try. I've been high-end focused for way too long. I just couldn't like the Essence Lash Princess due to raccoon eyes, but I so wanted to for the price.

Drugstore is my go to for makeup. They have been upping their game lately. I love the new L’Oréal primer in the green that color corrects. It’s so good and evens out my skin tone. I’m biased towards L’Oréal because I think they’re products are magnificent. The Infallible bronzer, the serum foundation with the eye dropper I rave about all of the time. All of their mascaras are way better than high end ones. Just can’t beat that brand. Also love Elf. They make fantastic products as well. I love their gripping primers and the duel ended brush. Wet N Wild tinted hydrator is awesome. It’s so pretty. I could go on but my thumbs would hurt! Great video!

Great video Mandy! I have a son in college and unfortunately I don’t have a lot of discretionary income for makeup splurges. I’d love to see a similar video for skincare. I love the Juvia’s Place duo bronzers. My shade is light and I feel the powders are finely milled and beautiful. I also love the super shock eyeshadows in shades Frog and Ritz. So gorgeous! ❤❤❤

I think my favorite drug store product is the True Match Lumi Glotion. It’s better than the Elf Halo Glow you demonstrated. Love the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Dewy foundation also.

The BH palettes are so good. Avacado toast and Switzerland are my faves. And tbh, all of the products you listed are in my makeup rotation. I used to be a high end girly in my single days, but no more. These products are just as good as high end.

​@@celeste8157From what I've read on a Reddit forum no, they're not. I was bummed to learn that because the 3 BH palettes I have the quality is really good. The shimmers are SO soft. I've used a couple of CP's SS but those were a huge fail for me. I know they're supposed to give you great sparkle but out of the 2 brands I'm sticking with my BH shimmers because they stay put where I place them. Those SS land up all over my face, lol...

So many good tips on products I have yet to try many of them but I’m always a bargain budget girl so I can’t compare with high end but I would love thoughts on flower beauty setting sprays I’ve used them and I absolutely love them and also the RIMMEL LONDON STAY GLOSSY lip glasses, which are only a few dollars and a huge color range my favorite being the BARE MINIMUM shade, which I think is the most perfect sheer, nude lip, gloss, hands-down

Essence blushes!! What an incredible formula. Agreed the packaging is trash but it doesn’t matter when you realize how user-friendly they are. Way better than the high end blushes I have. Just don’t drop them!

Hey Mandy, I think you're describing the performance of the OLD formula BH Cosmetics eyeshadows. From before they went BK and became owned and now, produced, by Revolution. The palettes and pan sizes you're showing here appear to be the OLD formula. Newer eyeshadows made by Revolution have smaller pans and smaller palettes and packaging, and are not of the same quality. Jen Phelps did a video on these differences awhile ago, and you can see the differences in her swatches. Love the video -and your look is lovely as always!

What shade is the Essence 8H lip liner? I found 3 that say they are 'nude' but they all look darker on the website than this one you put on. Oh, and I love the BH cosmetics eye shadows! The Hangin in Hawaii palette is better (IMO) than my Natasha Denona Glam palette. Better color pay off, better shimmers and a fraction of the price.

I think BH went out of business and was then purchased by Revolution Beauty. I can't say firsthand, but I have heard that the quality has not remained the same and all of the formulas have been changed. Can anyone confirm this?

I struggle with some flaking or crumbling with the lash princess and it dries out really fast imo. I love what it does for my lashes though. I typically layer it with something that doesn't flake.

Mine dried up after ONE use!! I even tried to revive it with contact solution but that did nothing. I don't know how that happened so quickly but I do know it wasn't on my end. I always make sure to tighten anything that needs to be. Because of that I refuse to try a different mascara from them but I will say. I'm a huge fan of their 6 pan palettes and their eyeliners. I finally found one that stays put in my waterline all day. Theirs even beat out Marc Jacob's and UD's 24/7...

I have tried to love the BH palettes, but the shades do not last long on my eyes. The drugstore has a lot of great products, but nothing has replaced my CT flawless filter. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer was my favorite I panned 3 of them, but they changed the formula and it is not the same shade, I had to buy a new one from mecari, so now I am on the hunt for a new holy grail bronzer.
