the post Malone event was actually really good, three strikes was so fun and because he actually plays the game it didn't just feel soulless. the FF event was fun too but the milestone event was bad. i have heirloom shards and i wish i could get the buster sword but i can't ;-; lol

Three strikes was so incredible, most fun I ever had, I never was mad when I died because I'd just respawn and try again, it was super fun, the mode had faster res times (pretty much todays meta) and octane as a commentator was so amazing

EA saw the final fantasy mode made them a lot of money, it was a cross over milestone event. So what ea did is not make any more cross over events but make more milestone events, in their minds it’s the event itself that made the money and not the crossover.

The final fantasy event was fun. Probably one of the better events that has come out recently. The introduction of the milestone events was stupid though. I don’t buy events, so it doesn’t really bother me, but I feel like the idea behind it is stupid

This is the problem with collabs: they put the company in the same disadvantaged position the consumer is in. If someone makes a mistake at their job, they can be blacklisted from the industry. The rug gets pulled out from under them, and they lose everything. Collabs are a mutually licensed agreement that can be revoked in the exact same manner corporations do to consumers. So, if your bottom line is depending on this, you are now at the mercy of your license owners’ contracts. This is probably the reason why EA is so adverse to collabs.

While I don’t personally care for crossover events, I think Fortnite does them pretty well. Hell even COD got me to play war zone after they did the Gundam Collab. I really think Apex needs to push it more and really find some good collab ideas. That being said, I’m still limiting myself to a 20 purchase if I’m really interested in it.

The Crossovers are cool but the problem the Thematic skins for whatever you want to call him are more overpriced than legendary skins and they already cost a lot. They also will never come back what if you want a couple of them kind of forces you to buy them in the time of the events. The problem is they don't understand what the players want they want cool events they want crossovers but not at the cost of their wallet can Apex doesn't seem to understand that the microtransactions in this game and them not fixing bugs or doing any quality of life changes is what is killing Apex legends. After they change the battle pass I haven't played this game because I'm not going to sit there and grind this out I work at 9:00 to 5:00 I can't do that but they went ahead and put the battle pass and made it cost even more money the problem is they have things that are fine that don't need to be messed with but then they mess with it and make it worse just to get more money and that's what's killing Apex

The FTP game needs money so its something to keep in mind. Fortnite is popular and the people who play it often love whats going on most of the time so they are more likely to spend. Apex seems to not care if it has an unhappy playerbase long as people are spending money. This is fine but you have to make some kind of change when people aren't spending money hence them announcing Apex isn't performing how they want it to. The biggest issue though is their reaction is pretty shit. They aren't making enough money so instead of enticing more people who don't spend to start spending, they instead search for ways to make people who are spending money to give them more. That has a ceiling. Example: "If I spend $60 a month on apex but now stuff typically cost $80 then im likely to stop spending that $60 completely." Apex just gave up $60 for a chance to gain $20.

that and I've spent way more money in fort than i ever will in the apex battle pass i bought (s1). Fortnite has actual good cosmetics priced reasonably even non-collab ones. the BP gives way more than just 50 extra coins and the really cheap bundle pack they have every month means i can get a skin i want for cheaper (instead of spending nothing) I never understood the logic of "people will buy less if they have better deals" since if you've ever seen post malone play people who whale will literally just buy every skin in the shop regardless.
