I'm very selective with violet but am completely in love with Penhaligon's The Favourite because of the ultra femme vibe I get from the violet and the fizziness of the freesia. Its so frigging good in spring or work from home days. Too delicate for cold weather imo.

It amazes me how you can do 2-3 sprays and then smell it the same second. I always let it air out for just a couple of seconds to let the initial burst of alcohol fade.

Like you, Gabby, I prefer Celeste over Bianco Latte and Bora Bora (to me it kinda smells like a mashup of the two, haha), so that was the first fragrance I purchased from Giardini di Toscana. Same with Carbonara, that was my first from Lorenzo Pazzaglia! So I love and trust your taste in gourmands. I'd love to try Sasva - do they have a discovery kit? - and Granado, but these are brands that are hard to find in my part of the world. Anyway, I really enjoyed this video so please do keep on talking about underrated fragrances. But I also wanna hear about new and popular releases, so I guess I want to see it all! I just purchased Cubano, and im also surprised its not talked about more. It does smell exactly like those boozy chocolates. Celeste is gorgeous and pretty popular in my perfume groups. You really peaked my interest with Explicit.

I thought about you two days ago. I discovered a brand called Nicolaï. It's not new but they do have a new collection of 3 gourmands inspired by desserts: Saint-Honoré, Macaron Bourbon and Pavlova. They are amazing and not too sweet. Mark my words, I am not a gourmand queen like you but I bought Saint-Honoré on the spot. The hazelnut in there is crazy good. The other two are insane as well. Pavlova has pineapple in it and I usually don't even like pineapple. That's sorcery. Oh and the 30ml are relatively affordable.
