I was at that show, got to talk with Rowland afterwards. Saw some great shows at the Nightshift. Always worth the drive up from West Haven.

Rowland is an amazing songwriter and performer. I saw them at Dreamerz in Chicago ‘88. I think I had a conversation with Epic. Nothing with the rest. It was a great show.

He's beautiful in any video. You should have seen him in his teenage years, what a cutie !! Hard to believe he wrote Shiver when he was 16.

Currently One of my favorite bands! Unfortunately I knew nothing about them in 88 & I was in a touring Punk band but on the West Coast. U did own the Birthday Party records BUT no one told me about These Immortal Souls. Love this post and THANK YOU

So many things can go wrong on a tour and these guys managed to play out there songs and they just got better and better. The sound guy probably never heard anything like it before and was shocked by there raw sound and did not know what to do. Anyway everyone pulled it together amazing gig. Rowland was such a professional performer. RIP ❤️

The sound was not bad in the house, but it's not exactly a recording mix either.

This was the first gig of their low-key, 4-week tour of North America (only US tour), hence RSH comment about losing his bag at JFK Airport!
