Carlo is just like my Dad, who is now passed. He made friends with every single person he met, talked away for hours, no one was a stranger. And he got out and helped everyone he knew and those he didn’t with anything they needed. He was the most generous man anyone could meet-in personality, love, and good deeds.

Having a Dad like that pass is one of the most painful experiences you can have on this earth. I had one just like him and I sincerely didn't know how to live on this planet without him. He was my best friend, my hero, my counselor, my favorite story teller and comedian. I know I will see him again in heaven. He lived a long, fun, adventurous and friend filled life. His passing wasn't sudden or unexpected, yet it still felt like the time was too short. Dad's like him are a godsend. I learned everntually that gratitude over grief was the best way to honor him. God bless.

The flies … that part I felt! Get a little mesh netting hat for your morning walks because those horse flies do not mess around. Love the way you do so much to your home, encouraging everyone to love what they got and improve their slices of earth.

if they plant neem saplings around that area it should take care of the insect issue. Peppermint & rosemary too are said to be insect repellent

My hubs was exactly like Carlo, he never met a stranger. He could talk for days to anyone about anything. I am quite the introvert, so you can imagine all the times I fumed from waiting and waiting for him to stop talking and get to work, or come to the car, or be ready to go wherever we were going. But that is who he was, and people instantly liked him. Sorry that the pool has turned into such a job, but I know that by now you have been dipping in it with huge smiles. Thanks for sharing!!

I would leave Positano and live here permanently it is easier to walk the dogs and all the stairs up and down, I wouldn't like it etc. etc. and you have a fantastic view what a beautiful pool, it will be fine and then cool off nicely
