Looking at Violet, I noticed her posture at her shoulders was so much like a little ballerina, I'd say those classes are paying off. So cute how Logan forgot he was performing a cartwheel, hope he's Ok. All the kids look happy and that little extra age hopefully has made it just a wee bit easier on you. So glad the date went well, so nice to have a thoughtful and kind person to hang out with that's your age, and hopefully you took your coat off at some point (could look like your ready to run,lol). Sorry you have a cold, this is one of the hardest parts of parenting, especially when their are 5, it almost becomes more like when do you not have a cold, hope you feel better soon Jamie. It's so great when the little ones move from the stage of needing to be entertained or played "with" to longer attention spans, creative and independent play! And they will never lack for playmates! As a divorced woman whose children were young at the time of divorce, I can relate so much to dedicating one self to them day in and day out. I hope you are proud of yourself, not everyone does that. I also empathize with the many feelings the come up as you begin dating again after the end of a long marriage. It takes time to feel ready, and readiness can look very different from one person to another. I too felt vulnerable, cautious, and wanted to take things very slowly. It is hard to open oneself up again, but I see that you are opening, you are hopeful, you have love to give. At same time you will proceed cautiously as you have five precious littles to consider and two wonderful boys to consider also. You deserve love and happiness and time will open doors if you have the willingness to step through them. ❤️

on the Saturday's that u have them and are home you could set up stations for them- u likely have some already, but maybe 4-5 stations to rotate to including a baking one with you- 1-2 at a time. You could have crafts that change up every time. you could look into books that come with a recording for them to listen to and follow along. Maybe a play doh table, a painting area either on a table or with a paint stand. you could have a game station and have a few board games and/or card games. There r lots of possibilities!!!!!

Someone had their shirt on backwards! Lol they are getting funnier the older they get. When my grandkids were that age, I would come home from Texas and stay with my parents. I would tell the kids if you dust the floor boards for Gramma, you each get 1 dollar for every board you clean. If they dusted the table and such, pick up things they would get money for that as well. My oldest grandson would mow lawns and such and my dad would pay him, the granddaughter would do mostly stuff in the house . It just got them into picking up and helping mom or Gramma , and they got a reward for it. The nice part is I think they would do it for treats instead of money. So who knows , maybe they are at that age to help you a bit more so you can get a break now and then ! Glad your date went well ! I met my husband when he was home visiting his family . Then with in a year, moved to Texas with him ! It was hard to move away, it's still hard being that far from the kids and such, but of course my son is married and has his own family. But that really bothered me the first couple years . Hopefully if things go well, he will be able to move ! I know that's a bit ahead of things , but I think you are a lot like me. If I really liked someone , I dated them for a long time, and I didn't do any other dating, I stuck with that person. It's so much easier .
