BeatEmUps I Love your video’s and I like to hear your opinion on games good or bad. So far I have agreed with you, but even if I didn’t, it’s still nice to know what you think of a game. There are so many switch games now I cannot purchase them all, so I like to see what you think of a game I am interested in buying. Your channel is a great way of finding new switch games that I have not heard about or even considered. There is a lot of switch gems out there. Gaming is a main part of my life, being disabled and not able to get out and about, games take me to places and take my mind of my chronic pain. I have a switch as it allows me to play anywhere in the house even in bed. I love the fact you can hotspot my switch to my iPhone as my internet went down and I could still launch my games, (my son’s switch is primary). I guess you could hotspot anywhere? The switch is such a fantastic device and is now my favourite console over my PS4! I hope you both are really enjoying your break in Japan, come back refreshed and raring to go with new switch videos. Maybe a honey moon in Japan would be good idea? 😉 BTW your opinion does count. Skyward sword was only considered a bad game because it was a Zelda game, if it didn't belong to the Zelda series and was just it's independent game I bet people would still consider it a well above average game. I subjectively think it's the worst main series Zeldie game but I still loved my time with it, and as Woods said its all subjective so keep loving skyward sword lol.

My dude the reason there is no voice chat in dbd is because of balancing, when survivors use voice chat they have a huge advantage, also the other way to escape is the hatch and each killer has thier own execution (mori) keep playing it and i promise you wont touch F13 ever again, good video btw 👍

This was why my husband stopped playing on PC. He constantly got into games with 4 people who were all working in tandem and he could never get ahead because they were able to earn each other and work against him, even when he had an OP build

I think people are also glossing over the fact friday the 13th has local in game voice chat, so you have to be near wach other to talk and agian, the killer can here you talk.

KolaThaBear #420 from what I’ve experienced I’ve never had a problem, and the developer removing it takes from the experience of new players. Either way they can’t really stop voice communication when there’s so many other options. Just my opinion though.

I agree on DXM, I felt very underwhelmed by it. I played the demo and it felt like an unfinished mobile game. I'm still loving Astral Chain though, I really hope it becomes a franchise.

Trust me, you don't WANT a voice chat on DbD, especially with strangers. That game has the most toxic community I've EVER seen in two decades of gaming. So having strangers "chat" with you... yeah, let's say the post match text chat is enough. Like you said, there is a way DbD is played. Everyone also has their own view about that. It's a great game, don't get me wrong, I have over 500 hours on it, but it has a horrible community. Oh, and on PC, you can use Discord and the like, which friend groups already use, so there's no need for in-game voice chat anyway. (And likely the devs aren't into doing that much extra work to add one on a console version, either.)

I’m a huge Japanese arcade fan so DBH was a win for me :) I got it on sale (wouldn’t really want to buy it at full price.) My only complaint is the online is absolutely horrible. You can wait up to 60 minutes to find a game and then the connection is so bad the person leaves. Idk if this is maybe because I live in South Africa

OJTBOI 14 few? it’s one of the biggest franchises in the world. if you mean they’re not okay with the national dex thing, it’s not that many people. These pokémon youtubers and the comment section make it feel like a big deal, but the people that care are mostly a minority. if you look at the official trailers comments or play pokémon showdown, you’ll see how many people are actually excited, me included.

I'm a huge mech game fan, and I also kept up with the Armored Core series. It doesn't disappoint if you like those kind of games. It's basically a "what we've learned from making Armored Core" kind of game with a number of Quality of Life improvements from the series. There's a bit of a Xenoblade X element to it in terms of a lot of customization options for both the Outer (the Pilot in their pilot suit) and the Mecha (even the music in the hangar bay is reminiscent to an interior music song in Xenoblade X as if to marry the style with a mech pilot working on their mech). That's due to your ability to fight in both ways. Though for most missions, fighting as an Outer is more of a last ditch effort when losing the mech, though surprisingly more capable than one would think. Yeah, being a human running around is still relatively squishy, but still maintains some teeth. There is a lot of stuff to get, you can research new weapons for the shop, and the Monster Hunter comparison is apt given icecream orders are basically the DxM equivalent of Pre-mission meals in Monster Hunter. Controls are tight and the mech weapon swap mechanic is probably the best it has ever been. Now here's the extra kicker, the game is not a live service game, you pay the initial price only and that's it; but it has a roadmap like one and they are continuing to add more updates to the game for months to come. I doubt they'll continue past the posted existing roadmap for a game that doesn't ask for more money. The main caveats to the game would be that it is a Mech game in the vein of Armored Core and the like, and that entire genre is a bit niche now especially with the lack of them for years now. Not maintaining or growing the audience means not everybody is into these. The other thing would be that missions, so far, don't really go much outside the typical mech mission box. Especially given they could come up with some brand new inventive ideas given your capabilities of being in and out of a mech in a mission. And yes, as I may have just suggested, new missions are being added as part of the roadmap.

@@akaimizu1 A very real, very long view on things. I like your take!! I got Daemon X Machina (mainly due to buying the Daemon X Pro Joy Cons that I LOVE, by the way), and I was pleasantly surprised. It isn't that complicated, but what Wood doesn't show is how quickly you can move around in the game. The boost feature you have a big gauge, refills quick, a mirage system, tons of enemies to loot their robot corpses, each mission you take seems to reward you with a massive wealth of decals, colors, full patterns, weapons picked up, etc. Though I do agree the AI isn't that challenging, and many a-times I've found an enemy mech stuck between two buildings briefly. But it's very fun, certainly casual fun of, 'Oh, I'm gonna do some missions and then head to sleep' kind of deal. I was originally afraid the game was going to be too easy, according to what people have said, but there's an option to play Co-op missions and you can do them solo for a serious challenge. So that's cool.

The thing about coms on Dead by Daylight is, it gives the survivors a HUGE advantage. It really would ruin the experience if it was included, I usually just invite people to a party if I want to chat. But you really saved yourself from the rabid fanbase of DBD by recommended it as a more "serious" experience. Because it really is, once you get the hang of it, it makes FT13th feel like garbage when you go back to it. Not that you will, but I recommend trying to rank up to at least 12, to get even a slight feel for the game.

I don't feel anything of what the game is trying to provide as far as controlling a mech and it just seems like a very standard gaming experience. Definitely 7/10. Good, but not great.

Kozilla 88 idk man dead by daylight is really fun and all the different types of perks in the game can make you have cool builds for your killer or survivor. I play on pc so I don’t really know how well it is on the switch but the game in my opinion is just very addicting and fun. I recommend u give it a try.

Dameon X Machina is great if you like mech games. The story is meh, but that's true of most mech games. It's fun to customize and build your perfect mech, and online co-op is a huge part that very few reviews mention. Kinda like Monster hunter with mechs. I personally live it but I grew up playing Armored Core

It's not that the game was have finished they were just giving everybody in the community time to have equal playing field on the battlefield but you wouldn't know that because while you're not playing this game that's why they didn't charge anything for multiplayer the game is an entire D is finished but they wanted everybody to go through the story mode before they started letting you do One V one or two b-2s and I don't know where you've been living but every game nowadays comes out with downloadable content even Zelda and don't even get me started on EA and Activision what they have done to The Gaming Community if it was ea ore Activision you would have been paying for versus I haven't seen a game in years that is come out that didn't have some kind of downloading or Patchwork to it unless you're still playing the original Nintendo or the PlayStation but 99 present of every game in the last 5 years has had some kind of download ore up date to the game so your game library is pretty bare or you're still playing a in complete versions of games bottom line

Their games are expected to have a level of content that makes it unrealistic to thoroughly debug everything in Alpha testing. However, there are plenty of indie games that release fully functional from day 1 with no patches. That was only partly my point though, I'm not talking about bug fixes. It seems like Marvelous thought the game was finished six months ago when they released that horrible demo. They were NOT expecting the feedback they got, and if the game they release day 1 is still lacking crucial features, not just a few bugs, but features like multiplayer, I just can't see that as anything but unfinished. Regarding letting everyone play through the story first, why put the best experience behind a gate? If the target audience is as versed in mech games as I think it is, they only really need to familiarize themselves with the controls in a learning match before jumping right in. It's the same way with FPS games, racing games, etc with the target audience already knowing the tropes and story archetypes. Give the people what they want, don't demand they view your art piece before they get to the good stuff.

Irish Identity see if you've been following this game you would have known that multiplayer was coming out on the 10th everybody that bought this game knew that going into it it wasn't some big surprise I bought Helios for the switch As far as third party games go and there was a glitch in that that wouldn't let me pass with the monkey and I had to wait two weeks before that was patched in and I have a lot of third party games that have gotten updates like time Spinners and it continues and continues and if you were following Daemon X Machina you would have known this again this game is not for everybody and I understand that you don't like it I'm not trying to force my opinion upon you but to sit here and say that it was an unfinished game is a little bold 90% of games that come out today or unfinished through AAA I mean have you played anthem not only that I just downloaded the new gunvolt Chronicles series and just got a patch update for that last night as well so yes even Indie Games get updates this is the community of gaming in which we live in now which brings me to my point every game gets an update Zelda got an update for more Dungeons and downloadable stuff that you actually had to pay for as far as this game goes we all knew that versus with coming on launch day most games from any publisher nowadays either add content or make you pay for it and we're still waiting for downloadable content for blood stains so I mean say what you want but everybody does it

In Dead by Daylight, when survivors can talk, they become OP. That is why there is a huge difference between matches against SWF groups (survive with friends who are on Discord) and randoms. Adding voice chat would make every game as killer unbearable instead of just most of them. That game is broken for a lot of reasons but the lack of voice chat isn’t one of them. In fact that is one of its only saving graces.

I agree about Wolfenstein Youngblood, the biggest beef for me is that it has almost non-existant checkpoints mid-stage. I spent 2+ hours in the initial mission that I had to quit because it was too late and hadn't finished it yet, and when I get back to it I realize I had to play the whole stage again from the very start. I never played it again and I'm thinking about archiving it to save the 25+ GB off my SD. Worst $29.99 I've ever spent...

Technically there are two ways to escape. Way one, group way, which is the generators and door. Way two, solo way, is a hidden hatch that appears once there is only one person left alive a hatch somewhere opens that you can escape out of. However, the killer can also find the hatch and if they were to find an open hatch they also have the option of closing it to force the remaining survivor to start working on generators again. But yea, besides that it can and probably will get relatively repetitive for a while until you start getting traits and stuff to work with to enhance your gameplay as either the killer or survivor.

I do like reading and listening to other people's opinions and thoughts on certain types of games, but at the end of the day, it is down to you to figure out if you like or dislike something such as a video game. When it comes to Daemon X Machina it's not a game for everybody if you love armored Core it's the game for you if you don't like armored Core well then you should probably just avoid this game so what's nice about this game is that form software is probably not going to release another armed record game for a very long time so this is as close as we can get to an armored Core and it does a lot right honestly but it also got some things wrong like grinding for parts is just obnoxious an armored Core you beat the game you unlock the shop and you could buy whatever you want that's not the case in this last night we got to versus and its really good which changed my score from a 7 to an 8 Team battles are a lot of fun and hopefully we get guild battles so we can do for on fours later on the story in this game is definitely not Shakespeare there should have been more interaction with the characters in The Hub menu so with the grinding in the interaction with the characters they kind of drop the ball but no matter how you slice or chop this game it is a step in the right direction another drawback is the fact that you can actually get out of your Mech there was only two missions in the whole game that utilized this ability which I thought was kind of a drop of the ball as well but with that being said once you get used to the blink ability and The Dashing ability this game is very fun to play not perfect but no game is but definitely a step in the right direction for the future of the genre and with that being said I love armored Core so this is the game for me but not for everybody my suggestion is if your little bit interested in the game try the demo if you don't like it's probably not for you if you do like it the game is amazing despite all of its flaws most people who have reviewed this game don't play Armored Core or never have that would be like somebody playing race car games reviewing an RPG and that's a big reason why this game has gotten bad reviews so please keep that in mind when you check this game out for yourself

Yeah I am a huge mech game guy and I love this game. It seems a lot of reviews online are from people who never played or liked previous mech games so they usually trash it. I'm glad it has a strong following and I can play with others. Story is dull, but that doesn't bother me because the gameplay and customization is fun, which in a mech game is the most important thing

Titan Fall, yes! That is exactly how I feel about that game. It wasn't so much a mech game, but it gave me exactly what I wanted from a mech game. Even being able to get out and run around was fun when I knew my mech was around, especially when it was around doing things without me. I had a few issues myself with DXM especially the time I got stuck behind a wall because I went out of bounds and was getting forced back but was forced into a wall that wasn't inside the perimeter of combat and had to force quit because there was no way to get around the wall.

In DBD especially at higher level play on PC, voice chat is broken. Using 3rd party software gives the survivors a huge advantage over killer. They can communicate whether they being chase or when to work on a gen. It's brutal.

i hate that people use voice chat in DbD like, one end of the map to the other? yeah thats gonna make it easier for the killer. technically in DbD killers struggle against a well played team that doesn't have voice chat, throw voice chat into this and it makes it super hard for killers to win, or even really get many points.

Dead by daylight becomes more and more fun once you start to learn the mechanics and abilities, but for that you need time, and since we know you dont invest much time in a game before giving your opinion (Xenoblade Chronicles 2), then I get why u didnt like it.

The closest to a mech game that I've played is Xenoblade Chronicles X. You spend a long time doing things on foot before you actually get your mech, so when you finally get it, it feels AMAZING. But even then, you don't get to FLY until later on. So when you actually get the ability to soar the skies, it's even more amazing. I feel like pacing is important in something like that since it gives you a better idea of how powerful/large you really are.

I love dbd. It's my all time favorite game. I own it on every platform, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the switch port. I feel like it having to be tuned down for the switch after having played on PC and the other 2 consoles made it feel sluggish and choppy. But if people actually enjoy it on switch im glad. I had the opposite with Friday the 13th. (I played these games on pc) I love Dead by daylight and haven't had many issues with the people i played with no matter there skill level i didn't see many salty people. Than i bought Friday thinking it would be similar and boy was i wrong. The game is fun thought jason is a little op in my opinion especially when i just started and didn't know what to do to escape. and when i found players they kept yelling trough the mic even when jason was around or they kept blocking me from trying to sneak out of a building. after a few matches a gave up on the online and now i only play that game with friends.

There are actually two ways to escape in DBD, you can find the hatch that opens up near the end of each match, so if you're the last survivor with only 2 generators done, you have that as an option for escaping.

Just going to say the whole thing of Dead By Daylight not having a voice chat will be fantastic for a VR play. But this is the thing I wish they can put in. If you're near the person depending how loud or quiet you are it can pick up or not depending your volume of your voice. That's the best experience for a survival type of experience.
