The viridescent hunt is decent on Tighnari, actually. You don’t tend to use anemo units in a dendro team, so some form of grouping if you’re suddenly against multiple enemies is very very useful

9:47 Honestly I'd argue the old battlepass catalyst is one of Klees bis for low spenders. As she utilizes her full kit for damage having a 20%-40% bonus for her skill, burst and normals is a huge buff. The trigger condition for it is also extremely easy to pull off and for players who value consistency it might be a more comfortable pick than Widsith for her mono pyro team (which is also her strongest team as far as I'm aware)

Not sure what 9:47 is but solar pearl buffs burst, skill, and normal attacks. It's one of Klee's best 4 star weapons and beats a R1 Widsith most of the time. Even if you get a good widsith buff every time, it's still within like 1% damage.

Should Xinyan be “It Depends”? Xinyan inflicts Pyro on herself upon getting her shield, no Bennett required. Xinyan is the Walking Stick’s perfect wielder. She can trigger it every E, and every Q at C2. (Her duty cycle is bad like Noelle and Barbara.) Dori can also trigger the claymore during her Q. It’s obvious with Dori, but both her and Xinyan can carry the elemental infusion to teammates. (It’s only on switch-in for Xinyan.)

Beidou can use the Talking Stick. She gives herself an electro aura when she uses her skill and all her playstyles benefit from the elemental damage bonus. Her burst also snapshots, not sure if she snapshots this buff though. Also the Solar Pearl might be good for some characters like Yanfei, Ningguang or Heizou.

For the claymore, Beidou affects herself with Electro when she uses her skill. Not sure if it requires a hold or just a press, but I remember using her to cheese a bunch of the Inazuma puzzles. Haven't seen any calc if Serpent Spine is still better, though. It's gonna be tough to beat that, and my guess is that Serpent Spine is still better. And I guess there's Dori burst or Barbara skill which can spread to whoever you on-field.

As a Beidou user, she affects herself always but it might glitch a little bit if you do a super-perfect counter as the electro aura might not even register lol, if it's viable you could use her E and hold a bit to get the 2 stacks As the new enemies are getting more and more DPS focussed on the abyss, that isn't that hard to do lol, you are being target 95% of the time XD

Can't we use the new catalyst bp weapon on dps/spread aggravate focused baizhu? If you are using the prototype amber and ttds on someone else, I see no reason why it can't work. Hp and crit stats won't go to waste and no character needs too much healing anyway. Baizhu heals too much as it is.

The new battle pass weapon does work with raiden electro build if you're using her in aggravate teams, which has become quite common since dendro release. Same with xiangling. Yes catch is good, but if you're playing raiden national the extra EM increases your overload damage by quite a lot. Lastly, ayato does not get his most damage from his skill and burst, but instead his normal attacks. In no way the WF is better than BlackSword

The black sword is actually still one of the best 4* for Keqing, since she is waving so much autos and charged and as R5, it gives 40%. It might comes arguably only if the user has a good TF set for her, since it does decrease E CD.

Imo the Black Sword is gonna be just as good as the new one handed Sword because of the new Artifact Set that increases your Crit Rate on 11/12% (i have heard both 11$ and 12$ so idk wich one it will be) up to 3 stacks every time your HP chances if you use Bennet he won't fully heal you wich means that without substats or any Fontaine character we will be getting 27.6 Crit Rate from the Sword on top of the 33/36% extra from the Artifact set *without including Artifacts mainstats or Artifact substats* wo ultimately that Sword would help us get from up to 60.6% Crit Rate meaning we can go crazy on Crit Damage with our main DPS of choice

From what I've heard from Keqing players. It depends on the playstyle between Quickswap Keqing and Sustained Keqing. In Quickswap the damage distribution between Normals, Skill and Burst are even at 33-34% each. While in Sustained the damage distribution is a bit more skewed to the Normal doing half at 50% and skill and burst being the other 50% together. So for Quickswap Keqing this might be an upgrade while it's a sidegrade at best for Sustained Keqing to possibly even downgrade. That's at R1 tho. Still even with refinements on it it won't be a massive difference for this playstyle as the most important damage aspect (normals) is neglected. Apparently the new polearm while good is only like 2% better than White tassle on Cyno at R1, so dunno if that's worth spending money for it. Although I need to check more with Cyno mains or TC who have him to get an idea.

The sword and polearm look good and I'll likely get a few copies of them. At the moment the claymore, catalyst and bow look awful for the currently available characters and I'm having trouble coming up with scenarios where they'd be used and be best in slot. The claymore is straight up worse than Serpent Spine, the bow competes with the craftable Prototype Crescent and the catalyst offers a stat combination none of the current characters uses. Weirdly enough the catalyst offers both the highest HP% of all catalysts from the passive (r2 beats TToDS, r3 beats Amber and r4 donut and Jadefall) as well as the highest permanent crit rate of all catalysts (Royal Grimoire goes up to 40% after 5 non-crits). It would beat out Lost Prayer on a Crit Kokomi solely in terms of crit rate and offer the highest non-5* shield strength or heals for our HP-scaling shielders and healers. That thing will be absolutely terrifying once they accidentally release a character, that scales both crit rate and HP% - nevermind that it even has some EM tacked on.

I actually think Sacrificial Jade is okay on Nahida - she doesn't use the HP, but high crit rate is solid and you also get a bit of EM, both stats she wants. Easy time meeting the activation condition in most teams. Low base atk is not a big drawback since her scalings are split more across different stats.

It totally looks like these weapons are budget signature weapons of upcoming characters. Especially those with oddly specific effects. I think Amber could make good use of that bow. Your argument that "you would rather go for 5-star weapon" can be used for any of the characters, the comparison should be limited to 4-star weapons. And DPS Amber makes good use of charged shots. I think the catalyst could be pretty good on Yanfei's shielder build. The problem with The Catch is that there's queue for it and you can only have one. So if the BP polearm is second after The Catch for come character it's still pretty good choice.

I don't know if when we talk about the new claymore we are considering that you might be able to stack the atk and dmg up effects at least and that even though SS may stack higher dmg, don't the new characters modify your hp or cause dmg which would prevent you from stacking it if you use say Hydro Archon for Vaporize team? It'd be goofy if her effect is to self inflict corrosion for a buff so your SS has 0 hope of stacking. Lol

The [New Battle Pass] list is full of characters that benefit even more from 5-Star weapons from the Standard Banner: *Amos' Bow* for Cocogoat, *Skyward Spine* for Cyno and Rosaria, *Aquila Favonia* for Kaeya and MC, *Skyward Blade* for Lynette, MC, Xingqiu, Ayaka... So I can't really justify paying for the new weapons as an old player (maybe newer accounts will benefit more?).

Generally speaking, if you are a spend on the BP player, I imagine you'll get it every BP. Meaning the question is more when you hit R5 on a given weapon, rather than if you do. Of course, that when is 5 BPs to R5 min, and 9 min if your goal is to get a copy of each weapon.

Dori and Beidou can both imbue as claymore users. That said, Dori doesn't want the stats it offers, and Beidou is better off with the Spine. Barbara's healing scales off hp. So provided you use her heals right after she comes in from off-field, she can benefit from both hp and some crit rate, if you're also wanting her to do some direct damage. Mind you, not saying that it is a good weapon for her, but saying she scales off attack is to ignore her healing, which does not scale off attack. Yanfei can benefit from the new one if you have her C4. However, there are better four star options if you want her to DPS, and if you're using her for her C4 shield, you're probably better off with a more support orientated catalyst. Especially considering you'll want refines to crank up the catalyst's hp bonus. But if you don't like swapping weapons and such, it's a nice middle of the road weapon for her. This is why I'll be getting it... but only after the sword. For Xiao, just get the Blackcliff from the shop. With spending on the BP, you should have the shop currency to get one copy of the polearm. Collei can make good use of the Hunt, if you aren't after energy particles from the Fav and aren't running an anemo grouper in your team.

I'm really annoyed they didn't change the stat bonus on the new BP weapons. It would have been super nice to get an EM stat sword with a better passive for kazuha. (and I just have him using fav because ER substats do not exist)

There are already 3+ em swords for 4 stars. Kazuha is already op and uses er swords too. There is only the battle pass to get crit rate% weapons so this take is really undefendable honestly

Honestly it's definitely for Neuvillette. R5 Sacrificial Jade is his best weapon after his Signature weapon according to his leaked kit info. He is an HP scaling DPS. He makes use of every part of the weapon which is amazing. I am definitely getting it next Battle Pass during 4.1. Can't decide if I'm getting the bow or sword for this 1st go.

"They dont want you to use Bennett with this claymore" ... Well yes but actually no. Thats the opposite. The 2 effects can stack. Use Bennett to get the free +16% atk And any other element for the elemental dmg buff

Benett already gives too much atk so 16% extra atk is noting and hardly impactful so it's not worth. Way Better to get the serpent spine buff

I've been using the BP since day 1 and they're basically the reason I don't have to farm mora, exp books and crystals, and all my characters are at least level 80, besides a ~7 who I've decided to keep at 70 because they don't interest me (though i have the ressources to level them up to 80), with workable artifact sets. Feels pretty nice to be able to rotate and have viable units to diversify gameplay, especially in the overworld. Allows me to try some silly stuff too.

Tighnari will be decent with Scion, but his burst (which is half his damage) won't be buffed by the passive. That's not saying much, though, considering most weapons dont buff both his normals and burst. Its just a bit better than Viridescent Hunt. The damage bonus will make his first 3 CA feel a lot stronger in a quicken team.

Definitely noticing a trend where crit stats are being given by multiple sources rather than relying on just lucky substat rolls (weapon passives, artifact set bonus, skill/ult) to make crit sub stats not AS valuable as they were before. Seems like this might shake up the constant grind for only crit substats and maybe give a little more value to other stats!

I think you misread (or did I misread) Wolf-fang's effect. It says when skill hits opponent, IT gets 2% CR. when burst hits opponent, IT gets 2% CR. Up to 4 stacks, that's 8% crit rate, but only 8% on each ability, not 16% on both like I think you calculated. So really only viable on someone like Raiden who's doing several instances of burst dmg... most other characters I think just do one instance of dmg with their bursts and have longer cooldowns than 10 seconds so you'd never get to stack the effect...

I don't get the BP for the weapons, the weapons are an extra benefit. It is also not possible to get BP and not get the weapon, so it is only the question which one to get first. The claymore and bow look like they were made with Natlan in mind just design wise. The claymore's pyro thing could also be geared for a character from the Fire nation. For now, there is no hurry to get either. Possibly the sword or the polearm first....:)

my cope take... diluc with talking stick and Xingqiu. xing's ult adds hydro aura which should get triggered when you swap to diluc for the unga bunga... even better if you bennett first then step out of the circle and get XQ going then with diluc step in and you get both right?

Shouldn’t off field Nahida work well with the new weapon since at R5 it should give 80EM consistently with high CR? A low base damage doesn’t matter too.

Solar Pearl not good on Heizou? I think it has good synergy with his kit although the buffs are short lived. Undoubtedly a 10/10 for the drip though!

I don't value bp from weapons only, bought bp from day 1 until now and only use black sword and viridescent hunt From exp and mora alone you already save 1k+ resin from not doing any leylines also 8 pulls from BP is cheaper than any crystal packs.
