Nada, I LOVE wearing white blouses, white tees under anything, it always brightens the outfit. White sneakers are really on trend, the white underpinning and white sneakers really go together. Jean jacket, white underpinning, black nice-fitting (not too loose, 1-2" above the ankle ) joggers, white sneaks and you're set.

I saw something the other day that I thought was a cleaver “fix” to tops with lots of fabric; when you go to tuck them take the end of a long shirt, sweater etc. & tuck it under the bottom of your bra that way you don’t have all the fabric bunched in the top of your pants showing through the pants. When Nada tucked in the peplum shirt, it reminded me about that little trick. Hope it helps 😊

I loved this video SOO much! Yes to more like this! Hi, Nada, thanks for your great work. I have enjoyed all of your videos, but this one is my favorite! How to style a piece of clothing you love when you buy it, once you get it home and are putting together an outfit: that is THE BIGGEST challenge of dressing well, I think. More videos like this one, please! What if you do videos after you go shopping, and break down your styling decisions with them, like you did in this video? I would love that!

Thank you for explaining the Peplum Problem. It’s easy to think that if it has a peplum it’ll be flattering and classy. But there are huuuuuge differences among peplums! So thinking one category of clothes is always going to good for me is too broad. I’m honing my eye to see all the details so I can discern each item of clothing carefully!!!

Videos like this are very helpful. They help us train our eyes so thank you!! I know that often something can look really good in person and how good it looks doesn’t come through in a photo ……but for whatever it’s worth, I really thought the sweater you didn’t like with the hot pink BR pants looked better than the sweater you did like!!The reason i think is that @Rule of Thirds”. Go back and look at where you show the two outfits stacked on top of each other. On the top one you’re not cut in half. Your top is 1/3 and your legs are 2/3. To me you look taller and slimmer. The bottom one you’re cut in half AND it looks like wide over wide. I’m 5’3” and having to experiment a lot to style wide leg pants once I finally find a pair that don’t swallow me and then get the length right. The top really has to be fitted, waist has to be defined and show, and, especially If the outfit isn’t monochrome, the proportions need to be 1/3-2/3.

Thank you so much Karen! So glad you find videos like this helpful. I'll definitely do more like this. I'm definitely familiar with the RUle of Thirds and it can be very helpful. I actually use a more precise system called The Fashion Fit Formula which is not general but specific to your body's vertical proportions. I do think the pictures in this case may have been a little misleading, but I can see what you mean about the proportions of the second one based on the pic. It definitely looks more like the first one follows the rule of thirds more. Appreciate the comment!

I live S. FL so weather is hot all year long. Instead of a leather jacket on a maxi dress, can I wear a small lightweight cardigan over it? I love maxi dress but big arms so I am comfortable wearing with sleeves or something over it if it sleeveless. Please do a video on that

I live in Florida too and totally get it! Yes a cardigan can work great or one of the new lightweight linen jackets. Just keep it solid and not too snug or fitted. :)

I'm a little confused by the contrast of the wine-colored dress and the black dress. I'm not sure what was wrong with the wine-colored dress and I certainly don't want to be misled thinking I'm cute and I just don't understand what looks good. The black dress looks fitted at the top with waist definition. What am I missing here??

@@sarahpleasant-nowowiejski5971 ahh really good catch and good point. Yes, that dress does have waist definition. It would be a really flattering dress. If it fit me properly it did not fit well through the bust and the waist didn’t fit me well, which is why I needed the jacket for the definition. Otherwise it would’ve worked fine on its own! great question.
