This was very common back in the first 3 years. Sleeves weren't around. So it was binder or back into the sleeve. If you was opening at a store or a friend's this was also the way you did it. The ones that call this fake know nothing about the time when this stuff was out. The guy most likely was searching for key cards, most likely shivan

Ya that was common until penny sleeves became a thing in the mid to late 90s. Im just shocked they left duel lands. Sure twist (old name at least in my area for duel lands) lands we not the hottest things but the were worth a few bucks even back then. But hey Thier lost your gain right id loved to have found something lol

Revised was my first set - I remember pulling dual lands - it was awesome. I still have all of them but they are messed up because we didnt use sleeves to play. Sold my juzam and library etc. but I kept the duals. That tundra pull is sick.

I know this vid is old, and you may have already found this out, but you can lock sets on the scanner for Manabox so it'll streamline scanning. Also, your angle for the scanner function wasnt facing the card enough. The cards we on a Star Wars Scroll Crawl angle when they need to be more flat.

You even got the best non-blue dual too!! The rare he took was likely shivan, royal, nightmare, doppleganger, etc those were the chase cards back then. I started playing right when revised came out, and I bought a shitload of the packs, as did all my friends and schoolmates. People would be upset opening the dual lands, and even the crappy fatties would pump us up, like force of nature, lord of the pit, and mahamote.

They didn't take them out because duals were $5 and nobody cared in 1995. I was there. It was glorious. 2 packs for $5 at the local LGS and if it wasn't a Shivan or Doppelganger, etc. it was trash :P

All the way up to like 2005 most duals were going for $10-15 so it makes sense that they’d leave the duals in the packs. In fact it wasn’t until the restrengthening of the Reserved List.

I played MGT back in the 90's around when Mirage/Ice age/Homelands etc series got released. I can tell you that was YEARS before 7th edition. We played 4th Edition. The newest cards I bought was from Weatherlight/Tempest/Visions and 5th Edition. I do have some 6th as well. (None of these are for sale, btw). Point beeing If this is from Mirage, No way it came with 7th Edition

Alternate 4th was only available in starter decks. Also, FOW in Alliances was a $3-5 card back then, so it wouldn't have been an auto-pull. Dual lands were $5-10 back then, so leaving one wouldn't have been a big deal.

A lot of people back in the day wanted one of every card to collect the set or the cool looking cards rather than the useful cards. That missing rare was probably a Shivan Dragon or something completely random..

About 25 years ago, the duals were worth around $20, they didn't really go up until mid-2000's

Back in the day (Revised era), just getting the basics was hard so the duals were thought of as trash because most decks ran as mono colored or at most two colors (at least that's what people did where I lived). If you notice, you didn't get any good creatures like Shivan Dragon in those Revised or 4th edition packs. That was the money card back then. Any creature bigger than 3 toughness was decent because of bolt, but good creatures were rarer in the game.

Very true, tho I was suprised tp see the Royal assassin, as that was also known as a great one, like shivan. He may not have been a black player tho. People def tended to play mono color decks like you’re saying. I started right when revised came out, and all my friends and entire school played. Most people played mono red, black, blue, or sometimes green, not as much white or multiple colors. I think the red and black decks were most played by far. Either the red deck with bolts, fireballs, disintegrate, shivan, mana flare, maybe goblins, dragon welp, granite gargoyl, etc. And black, probably the best and most popular: dark ritual, hypnotic specter, sengir vampire, nettling imp, sorceress queen, nightmare, royal assassin, demonic tutor, mind twist, terror, drain life, etc.
