I never really knew Greatest Hits games on PS2 were rare for some games. Things you learn! I was given Warriors black label 6-7 years ago. A lady gave me and some PS2 games. I don’t have any of those sad to say. Need to work on my PS2 collection.

just my personal reasons why I hate the GH red/green labels. I dont want to build another shelf just for greatest hits (yours looks dope) but I already have 1600 games and they are all alphabetized. So seeing the black across the collection then a random red or green throws it off for me. Same goes for platinum XBOX games. Ill always go black label unless theres updates done to the GH version like silent hill 2

Pretty sure the Greatest Hits copy of DBZ Budokai Tenkachi 3 is actually more common than the regular copy of that game

@@MrWrightWay I meant when searching used marketplaces for just the game title and platform, more often than not the Greatest Hits copy comes up regardless of if for an affordable price (it’s like thinking Pokemon Colosseum would be cheaper as Player’s Choice, for a GameCube example). Though speaking of Nintendo, you could always just play the Wii version if you don’t want to deal with imports as the value of it stayed relatively the same, despite some first believing it to be a crowned jewel when the PS2 copy started raising in price due to demand.

I didn’t doubt for a second the video was about Greatest Hits, I was just giving an example from a different gaming company within the same console generation while mentioning an alternative way besides imports from regions where it’s called something else (coined as “The Best” or the “Essentials” respectively).

Props to you. Personally never liked tbe greatest hits or players choice version of games. Kinda glad they stopped using those labels. But props for actually wanting to base your collection on it its rare to see and we all usually just pay more for the base labels lol

It blows my mind that Def Jam FFNY is "rare". Everyone I know had that game in their collection, myself included. We used to have battles all the time. And I'm shocked that The Warriors is considered rare too. That game was BIG in '05. I still have both games, and my memory cards with my profiles on them. I feel bad for people trying to hunt those games down.

NASCAR Thunder 2003 is one of the most common games with the standard label, I didn't even know it had a red label release, but not surprised, although Thunder 2004 is generally more popular amongst NASCAR fans, I'm not sure if it has a red label edition...I buy a lot of racing games on PlayStation 2 as well as platformers.

I have 2 in the list def jam greatest hits payed 1$ at a Salvation Army thrift store and madden 12 payed 4$ at a goodwill I didn’t know the 2 I have were rare thanks for telling me I wanna get every single game for the ps2 I have 149 now

Those are some of the greatest PS2 games ever. I especially love the Warriors. Fun beat em up. I used to play it with my cousin all the time.

Hard to find games with manuals and the original art work these days. I dont if you not into sports games but NFL street 2 qnd nba street 2 are hard to find too. They both can easily go over $25. WWE HERE COMES THE PAIN IS ALSO A GREAT ONE

Steve, you’ve got to be the guy that has the MOST knowledge on the PS2! You must know everything about all the NTSC PS2 set and have more wisdom about the PS2 than anyone in the world! Though I’m surprised you didn’t include Cake Mania in this video, even if it’s not a greatest hits, it sure is a super rare game! 😂

Cool video Steve! Growing up I had Creature from the Krusty Krab on GBA! Man that brought back memories seeing your PS2 copy of it! The GBA port is a side scrolling platformer, with (if memory serves me right) a shoot 'em stage throw in for good measure. That port of it is a fun version!!!
