For the kit with blindness where you said it slows you, that is actually incorrect, you could see that one of the effects was slowness, along with mining fatigue and blindness. (The totem popping deleted them all)

Nope, you can still sprint with slowness, you are just slower. But you actually *can't* sprint with blindness applied
