As long as Steranka is in charge, it will never happen. Not even for events or special cases. Hell even if we had another lockdown god forbid he probably still wouldn’t let it be a thing. He’s gone on record saying he regrets basically every change that happened during the lockdowns and he’d revert them all if it were completely up to him.

I think being able to opt out of IV floors for raids/eggs/research/trades would be a nice addition for GBLers. The TM system could be modified where you are able to select from a list of moves the individual Pokémon has previously learned or click on an option to add a new move which would then be added to your selectable move pool. The move pool would also contain previously learned elite moves and return in the case of purified Pokémon.

Eliminating moves you just had is all they need to do. That way you avoid the problem and can get a previous move back if you want.

You can skip the gift opening and receiving animations. I think it's technically a bug, and it's not a mass send feature like you mentioned, but it definitely helps.

Another QoL update should be sorting Pokemon by size. With the inception of XXL and XXS mons, it would be nice to know which are bigger/smaller so I don't have to hold onto 15 XXL Charmander. I could just keep the top 3 and transfer the rest. But there is no sort by size feature 🤷‍♂️

10:03 there is a training mode. At the bottom of the battle scene you can select one of the team leaders for training. It’s not perfect but it’s available

I imagine the local-only requirement for trading is an anti-scammer thing, where people would offer to trade for actual cash money. Other games I've played with global trading have a huge problem with this, even with walls of warning texts and required anti-scam training tutorials and so on. It doesn't surprise me that they just want to completely pre-empt that.

Two things I’d like to see added - a new form of TM, between the reg and elite - where you can choose the non-legacy move without it rolling randomly. Secondly, when a mon that has had a Comm Day gets a spotlight hour, or is just a featured Pokemon during a 3 to 5 day event, allow for that mon’s legacy move to be learnt via regular TM.

Mass gifting would be nice, but mass trading would be even better. Doing a hundred mirror trades after an event takes an hour. So many tedious and unnecessary animations slowing down so many processes in this game.

I don’t think Drill Run was legacy for Dewgong (it’s still legacy for Seaking, though) so I don’t think Niantic has ever done that before.

Drill run was added in the same season they gave it to Alolan Sandslash, almost 2 years ago, and it was not legacy.

One feature that the two new things from this event have in common is that they're both ways for Niantic to increase revenue. "Letting people use remote raid passes" == "letting people give Niantic more money". The Charged TM thing is somewhat less direct: They don't sell Charged TMs in the store, except sometimes in boxes. But you can't buy Elite TMs either (except sometimes in boxes), so letting people play Charged TM Roulette probably doesn't cost them anything, and might make them some money if it leads people to buy boxes with TMs.

Just went through all 48 charge TM's I have, and my shadow Ho-Oh I caught from a remote raid cycled through solar beam, brave bird and fire blast all 48 TM's, no sacred fire

I gotta ask, quick-catching on incense Pokémon doesn't alert anyone else if it's successful, right? Pokémon stays on the map and you have to check your Recent folder sort of defeats the purpose of quick catching.

No more gym animations either (like for entering a raid boss encounter). Still need the ability to TM from GBL battle prep, too. As it stands; if you enter GBL and have a team ready to go, then realize you have a wrong move on a mon, you have to back all the way out of GBL and go into your box to TM it. Massive waste of time.

There should just be animation skip option for everything - gifts, trades, evolutions, buddy candy chomping etc..… Global lucky trading would be great even if very limited. Trading/gifting en masse, or even in groups of say 5 would be great These things would increase my enjoyment of game. Even more than uncapped and cheaper remote raids.

If anyone can help me with this. Is a 15-15-14 that much different from a hundo for ho-oh? On the sims it loses its mirror match up but turning baits off its a tie so it seems like theyre both equal? I do have a hundo I can invest in but the 15-15-14 is a shiny Y_Y

Practice or unranked is necessary for this game. Especially to improve without a cost to your ELO. A good QOL would be to just say how many sets you have left in a day or how many matches you have left in a set without going back in the menu 😂.

On the TM thing I agree let us choose the move or start dropping tms out of raids and PvP reward 10 fold. This rocket event I have less than 20 tms banked to grind for mons to remove frustration and then all I’m doing is removing frustration and not tm to the move I want because I don’t have enough banked. I’d be ok with the roulette if it was easy enough to get more tms without paying for it of course

imho a true cycling through woud already be a massive improvement. of course just picking the move woud be so much better, but even just knowing that you'll get what you want within 2-5 tms woud already be way better than the unpredictable back and forth between terrible moves.

I stopped interacting with the gift mechanic since i cant be botherd wasting time. Like lots of features are. If you watch ppl play PkMn on emulator you can see them fast forwarding all the time. Menuing should be cut down to a minimum. Gameplay animations are probably here to stay since it increases engagement.

Hi, thanks for this interesting video (wayyyy more interesting than any of this week's cup video that I even did not bother watching). I agree basically with everything except perhaps the GBL training thing. As much as I'm a gbl battler, I feel this is asking too much. Regionals is only a very small part of pokemon go overall, and it's rather a task for pvpoke or another website. Animations should be dramatically reduced as it makes the game sooo boring. During dynamax battles, facing grunts or Mateo... it's soooo long and useless.

I figured it it’s not hard out but it’s uncomfortable and not fun for me/my hands (too small and too much pain) so I generally don’t do it. I don’t mind playing at a slower pace most of the time anyway.

Almost 60. My hands are too big and it is awkward for me. I have a Go Plus + auto-catcher running doing background catching, so it doesn't matter that much. Play how you feel comfortable. Don't let anyone make you feel less for it.

for me it will be 1. Get the point system out of GBL We can do points after legend for anyone that wants to do leaderboards!!! 2. if a player hits a rank in GBlL stay there it does not go down and play with lower lv players!! 3.TMs need to be changed it is too much. 4. Practice battles are a must to test teams without being punished for losing! One learns as one goes into the processes of winning and losing but it is not worth it if the players are frustrated!
