Also, go to about 1:10 and watch for a flicker much like what you see later at about 1:20. There are so many images flitting past the camera that it almost looks like they were added later or are images left behind on an overwritten sector of the storage. I'm skeptical that this is legitimate and not staged.

My my thought as well, except that mountain lands usually don’t shake vehicles. But you never know depends upon how hungry they are. There was a moment where you could see what it look like an ear didn’t quite look like a mountain lion ear. But nonetheless, it was kind of creepy.😮

Then why was it deliberately obscuring itself from view? That's not something an animal is capable of. Hiding is instinctive in animals, they cant think about it in terms of "can that person see me if I hide behind this tree?" They are not capable of wondering what another is seeing or thinking. They can only act on instinct to do what makes them feel safe. Which is basically an instinctive fear of open spaces. I agree it's not human but I saw a strange face that appeared to be more intelligent than a typical animal. The only thing cat-like about it where the eyes and the color of the skin resembled the color of the fur of a mountain lion. But beyond that it was totally strange.

Talked about the Uncanny Valley with a collegue of mine, and the fact that it was most likely linked to the fact that there was a time in our history when it was a necessity. He suggested that this moment was when the Homo neanderthalensis and the Homo sapiens were existing. It is a theory I decided to believe.

Given the fact that most people with European ancestry have some Neanderthal genes, it couldn've been that uncanny. I think it's more likely because humans have been evolutionarily trained to recognise each other's emotions in the tiniest facial plays. This was probably necessary to function as a group and to assess the potential danger of a foreign group. Now, Neanderthals might've looked slightly different, but I guess, they still expressed similar emotions to us. But with a robot, a mask or a moving puppet it's different, because they look human but their expressions are not quite right, making it hard for us to recognise their emotions and, further, their intentions. Our brain doesn't perceive them as dangerous or not dangerous. No, it doesn't know what to do with them, and that is what makes them uncanny.
