I think the problem alot of people have is not being able to distinguish what an open shot is. Watch this dude play and you'll learn that you are actually open way more than you think you are. Another huge factor is contest timing. You can hit a 50% covered when the contest comes late easier than like a 15% where someone is playing off but was contesting at the beginning of your shot imo.

It's more a feel then que like 60-40 and pick a base I use Chris bosh regular shot no need to mix it up with creator that might help you or just complicate ......................just know your shot

So it I’m using this jumper on my 6,8 BE ON RELEASE IF I USE THIS JUMPER ON 50/50 blend I only get a Release speed if I change the blend to 88 Sadiq It go a+ release speed what do u think that can help me

The difference between A and A+ release speed is small enough to where going 50/50 is just fine!!! If you feel like the jumper is too slow then maybe try to change it, but in this scenario, it’s probably wiser you just make to where the jumper is comfortable for you!!!

Probably somewhat consistently, if you’re able to get the same jumper as your 92 three build, assuming theyre in the same height range, you’re just gonna have a little less room for error

I don’t shoot quite as good as you but still have a decent percentage (64 from 3) but I tell you what sometimes I feel like this game will legit give you contests when you should be wide open. I think they should atleast tweak the contest system to make it more consistent when the new 2k comes.

I couldn't green light my shot in 2k if my life depended on it, Idk why, I end up playing the game and just watching the meter when I shoot and not the nba player I'm shooting with... the game has become too hard for me to enjoy it lol 😆, I didn't feel that way when I used to play, say, 2k11... It’s more muscle memory at this point, I wouldn’t say I have a real visual cue I look at!!! Been using this exact same jumpshot and shot timing for 3 months now, it will just come with time!!! Keep shooting and don’t change your jumper or timing!!! Repetition is key!!!

Yesss bro ! Another thing, pay attention to your teammate that has playmaking takeover on… I make A LOT of 50+% contested with a 77 3 ball. Height helps too. When a smaller defender switches on to me, i can shoot over him without contests even if hes hugging me 😂

hey great video as well as great shooting as always i have a question id like your honest opinion on did i make a good 6'6 floor spacing slasher pg he has a 80 close shot, 91 driving lay up, 80 mid and 90 3pt as well as a 99 free throw for 100% made FThrow shots an 85 pass and 90 ball handle with an 86 SWB (speed with ball) 90 PD and 70 steal speed n accel are both 90 and stam is 99 sometimes i have a hard time breaking down my defender for the shot and would like to know some tips n tricks to being a better pg this is my first year playing 2k officially

I’d say just having a few moves that get you open and a few counter moves to those moves is all you need. You don’t need to spam combos to get open in this game, especially if you have TMAC base. Make them respect your dunk or 3 and then take what they are giving you!! Don’t over dribble!!! Let me know if this helped!!

You absolutely can still hit shots like this even with only a 77 middy, I went 97 for a lot of HOF badges, but as long as you’ve got you’re hot /lethal zones, you’re jumpshot boosts and Tmac base, you’ll still be able to shoot just like this (maybe not quite as efficient but close)!!! My subs have found tons of success with this!!!
