I've been experimenting with lightweight drivers, so I found this helpful and informative. What really surprised me were the lightweight approach discs! I hope you continue to experiment with those: you might really be on to something.

Us handicapped disc golfers have a difficult enough time finding lightweight discs in the molds we want. We don't need more competition. :)

Cool part about living on earth is, we all have the same opportunity to buy the things we want..

Thanks for the lightweight content! All my fairway and distance drivers are 163 and under. Fission photons are my favorite distance driver. Nice distance and control. Fission time-lapses bomb, but i have no idea where they are going. As for fairways the vela, raptor, polaris and fx-2 are all really good.

for me, weight is critical to release point. Max weight discs slip out early and I hold onto super light discs too long. I'm more likely to throw accurate shots across all my bag if the weights are all similar.

Something to consider... If you have an 'OK' arm like me, but can't throw forearm... A lightweight driver may just be the answer. I have a 135g Boss that flips like a politician, but with a short forehand flick on Hyzer, it flips up, runs long and fades away nicely.. OK it is VERY dependant on wind.. but that doesn't mean you can't throw a light, flippy disc in strong winds... you just need the right conditions and a bit of practice... I got one of my best drives in a head/crosswind with a DX Beast that wanted to flip into the wind that wanted to blow it over.. and in the ensuing battle it went 300ft.. in a 20+KPH (oh and it was drizzling which is why I went for my only DX plastic driver). At 56, I can throw 300ft (330max) RHBH... I have managed to get near 300 backhand with the Boss... And it floats... which is why I got it.. A FH or BH option in a crosswind that will float in that one water hazard I got it for if (when) all goes wrong. Having said that... Getting a lightweight disc to go far is one thing... Controlling that urge to flip through a phonebook an stopping at some random page is the biggest problem... Lightweight flippy discs can be impossible to get right if you have anything but the same perfect conditions to throw in... And when I can throw 250ft with a max weight Champion Beast and a tweaking back so a stand still with near no hip rotation (did this Thursday as the Ibuprofen hadn't kicked in to fix the back after a 101 basket Centurion on Monday), I would work more on the Towel whip standing still with a straighter heavier disc... (but I don't have any hand/arm issues... A friend has 4 thumbs (his index fingers damaged from indoor netballs hitting them at speed) so he prefers a wide range of flippy light discs... and on a good day out throws me, maybe on in distance, but accuracy... and you don't need 400ft to beat some of the best players...

Whos to say that for him that isnt true. If he can handle it then he can handle it. Simple as that.

I agree, it's only a cheat code until the wind picks up, then it's a recipe for OB.

All of my distance and fairway drivers are 150-163. Wind isn't as big of a problem as a lot of people think. You just need to control your angles.
