Dumb Dumb and Russian Roulette were released back when they only did spring and autumn releases, though. At least those months qualify as autumn for me where I'm from, I don't know about SK. SM suddenly started putting "summer queens" in every press release for Red Flavor in the power vacuum of Sistar's disbandment and I'm so, so, so glad RF delivered and became a summer hit.

I saw this theory that the mv is like representing them growing up and their interviewing their younger selves(because of the baby pictures) and they were recreating the pics because they weren’t ready to grow up but then when yeri picked up the wine they realised that it was time to grow up and it wasn’t that bad (the party scenes) also they have assigned colours so the fruits are the same colour as their colour if that makes sense lol. Irene=pink/red=watermelon Seulgi=yellow=pineapple Wendy=blue=blue orange(don’t ask me lol) Joy=green=kiwi Yeri=purple=grapes Hope it kinda made sense :)

You are on the money, the song is indeed about a fun and youthful summer love but its also about the "last summer of their youth" in a way. That weird stage in your late teens (17,18,19) were you begin to transition from a teen to a young adult and you start to branch out, try new things, reach potentials, grow out of things and all of that is represented in the video with the baby pictures, the sapling growing into a tree, the people cultivating the fruits represents their parents and families and near the end you have the sticker of 100% satisfaction garanteed as in saying that growing up is the thing to do at some point or another even if we might be scared of it. Its a really good mv and song. Moving but fun for a summer jam.

The fruits and the different things the fruits turn into represents growing up lol. Becoming ripe and becoming what you're meant to be lol. It's very abstract lol. They're pretty much interviewing themselves, what it's like growing up, what it's like flourishing. At least that's always been my interpretation of Red Flavor.

Since you're reacting to red velvet so much, I think you should know that they have A LOT of experimental songs such as rookie, really bad boy, zimzalabim. These songs people either REALLY LOVE or HATE at the first listen but when people give them a few more tries they definitely grow on them. So, keep that in mind when reacting to their songs which are more on the experimental side. They have the most experimental discography in kpop without a doubt so you're gonna have a good time reacting to them that's for sure.

If you look closer , you will find written english interview underneath while redvelvet interviewing fruit 😀 also in many another languages. (Red velvet wanted to talk about themselves and share information with fans.) Each of fruit represent each member (interviewing herself) So that is why she interviewing fruit. and later she showing how she interviewed by mirror. When you see Happiness MV, there are fruits too red velvet often use fruit to represent themselves. But in this video, sprout represent their weak childhood like as photos , however they are now grown becoming red and juice fruit where as they've got loved by fans. That is why when they do a fruit test, got 100 points and got a premium fruit stickers too. How cute 😍
