Love Ky's innovation, especially the jump out of the arena at the death to secure the evasion.

I'm guessing they will have to change the rule because of it :) Great strat!
@josestirtabudi6247 Жыл бұрын
@@somesinger1575 Not sure if they will have to, it has some major risks. Screw up the timing and you've given away the tag, could also be countered by the chaser continuing the chase, though would definitely be potentially risky considering it's landing outside of the quad. Overall hoping to see more of it ;)

The issue of both Tempest and Atlanta is basically the same, they have 2-3 incredible chase taggers, who can really face the best of them, but the rest of the team isn't at the same level. Ky, Hunter and Joe are amazing, Sean is good to very good (some lessons with Haroon I think would be important for him and Brian), and Brett and Nicodemus aren't good enough. Sukan is incredible, and the rest of the team is mostly good enough (I love Gabriel but he has both high highs and erratic lows). This doesn't hurt them against teams they're similar to, but teams like Apex, Hollywood and APK Blue where basically every player is ace you won't get away with that. I would say though Atlanta can train into being to their level, where I'm not sure Brett or Nicodemus will get there, they have to become much more tactical in their approach. Feels like they're great at coaching others, but not fully at getting it down themselves.
@appletree13 Жыл бұрын
You're definitely right, and you can throw MVMNTM up there as well even though they're a new team. Tempest struck gold with Ky, but the rest of the team (particularly Brett Vance, sorry man) needs more practice to really reach the other three's level. I think Nicodemus can sometimes make up for it with evading, and Sean has LONG arms, but both need more practice. I don't believe they have a quad back home, so their only practice sessions are the 30(?) minutes given to every team before the tournaments start, or sending them out in a match, which can be...undesirable at times. As for Atlanta, we all know Sukan Gregg is a madman (in the best way possible, he tore apart APK Grey) but you're correct again about Gabriel. I don't think there's AS big of a gap in Atlanta as in Tempest, but it certainly exists.
@kevind3974 Жыл бұрын
As of right now people not having a quad is the biggest issue to tell actual skill. You can’t tell who has it, who needs practice and who don’t till their on the field but as of right now to do that you need to go to computation

Okay, is it just me, or is someone going out of their way to get Sun the easiest way to the finals possible? I mean no offense to Momentum (nor to District, were they to prevail) and have only deepest respect and wish them nothing but success in their qf, but let's be real - after being so heavily relied on Michael and Michane are gotta be feeling the fatigue, and thus are, if i had to guess, hardly gonna be able to stop Apex (nor would District). In fact, I'm gonna go as far as call it a 99% probability of being a walk in the park for Sun, who only then are going to have to start actually battling fir the title from semis. Whereas all the other actual title contenders are being set to batter each other down (both physically and emotionally) all the way down from qf, as if just to make it easier for Apex... I donno, just hoping it's all bloody random of a draw, and not how "seeding" is actually supposed to work in the sport. (Mostly on account of being not quite thrilled by the prospect of Apex taking it home, AGAIN, call me a conspiracy theorist if you will) Okay now - gimme those rotten tomatoes...
@pwndnoob4937 Жыл бұрын
Do we need a lesson in seeding? Yes, Apex Sun are expected to have the easiest bracket, because they are the 1 seed. It's only gotten easier on paper because of upsets, but (if my bracket math is right) Apex were lined up to play Atlanta PK which is both fair and also would be very unlikely for them to lose because they are a strong 1 seed.
