My favorite part was the part where you talk about linking the different mock ups to the variations. I noticed that my listings were not doing this and I didn’t realize that it was something extra that I needed to do. Thank you for bringing that to my attention!! Also, I would love if you did another video about what kind of videos we can make for print on demand products as we don’t have the actual products in our hands.

I was getting quite a few abandon baskets when I first opened my shop but I haven't had any in the last 30 days. I was making a sale every other week starting my first month but ive only made 2 sales in the last 2 months now... I feel like my designs have improved so that has been pretty surprising. I'm doing all over print patterns that pretty much have no parrallel so theres not really any research I can do. The main thing I see people wearing when it comes to AOP patterns are seamless tropical and flower patterns or logo seamless patterns which I'm quite sure have a large amount of competition so I'm not super interested in making those kinds of designs.

Hi Mandy, thanks for the wonderful tips! There is one aspect that you haven't covered in depth and that can be the Pricing factor. I have noticed that a lot of successful sellers use very low price points to have buyers click on their listings. They combine products like t-shirts with sweatshirts, to show a very low price point. I'm new at this so haven't adopted this strategy but wondering if this is the best way to go.
@studiomdesignsco Жыл бұрын
I personally don’t use that strategy - I talk about my pricing strategy in my course playlist for setting up a shop and the battle of the sweatshirts video. I personally don’t like the loss leader strategy or hiding low price items like baby onesies as variations to show lower prices. Plenty of people are successful with it (and it works for many), it’s just not a strategy I choose to implement in my business 😊

Thanks Mandy for your feedback. I have watched many of your videos, can you please provide a link to this price strategy you are talking about. Thanks@@studiomdesignsco

I know this is probably a hard thing to answer, but I'm really curious what a resonable click rate is for Etsy ads. Like if say 50, or 100 people see my item as an ad and no one clicks on it, is that bad and I should work on it, or is it more like 200 or higher?

@studiomdesignsco Жыл бұрын
Agreed! A reference photo could be used in the prompt to get a little closer, but even still - it’s not a real photo of a real product (which is what a mockup is supposed to be) 😊

Hi Mandy. Really love your videos and I want to thank you for all the things that i learned, watching your videos. I have a question for you, if you can help me. I opened my Etsy shop 3 years a go with my handmade items, i had some sells, but i kinda abandoned my shop, being busy in my day to day job. I started with POD 2 months ago, doing my research, checking best selling items, using their keywords in my SEO, but I’m not getting traction. I have less then 100 views per week. I put on my add with 5$ a day, same, just a few views. My question is : is because maybe those keywords are in high competition? Or can be the fact that i abandoned my shop , before i started with POD. Hope you can help me with an answer
@studiomdesignsco Жыл бұрын
Lack of views generally comes from a keyword/SEO issue (if you’re only using high competition keywords/niches it’s going to be a lot harder to show up in searches and get seen) 💜
@AndreeaBerinde Жыл бұрын
@@studiomdesignsco thank you for your reply xx I’m new in POD and i was watching so many youtube videos, where they suggested us to use the keywords that we see in bestseller items. But recently I checked some of them on Erank, and the competition is very high for them. Of course i will be on the page 100, as a new POD seller. Thank you again for clarification and keep posting and posting videos 😬 really helps us new sellers xx

Do you have to use the word "gift" with every keyword? Or can you just use it as a single keyword on its own?
@studiomdesignsco Жыл бұрын
Don’t use it on its own (you want longer keyword phrases, not shorter), but it’s also not necessary to repeat it after every word. I actually try to minimize repeating keywords in the title where possible (which is where combining phrases helps too). Some listings are harder than others to do that 😅

Why does Etsy remove some of my listings that don’t have any particular reason to get removed? 😭😭 It’s so frustrating. The listings that got removed don’t have anything in common, and nothing in the policy applies to them. How can I prevent it from happening and even more so, prevent suspension, if I don’t know why they remove listings?! 😭😭

Mandy, what could you do for prevent big stores to stole your designs? I'm thinking to use watermark or something. I don't post anything anymore because how I can compete with big store with 100s of reviews?
@studiomdesignsco Жыл бұрын
I don’t worry about it, I just keep making more listings based on research and demand. Don’t let the fear of competition hold you back - competition is a normal part of business, just keep working on your designs and your listings. There is plenty of room in the marketplace for everyone, and plenty of new shops are doing great in 2023. Keep going! 💜

@@studiomdesignscoI only have few designs and Etsy took one of them as Etsy's Pick. My store had so much traffic but in the same time big stores copy all my designs, my tittles and tags. Some stores are selling them as digital for $1. I felt horrible because I tried to do something different. My listing had my logo on it and they cropped it.
@studiomdesignsco Жыл бұрын
Super cool that you got the Etsy Pick, but I’m so sorry that happened with the other sellers! There are definitely some sellers out there that can be truly awful. In your particular situation it might be worth going through the IP reporting process on Etsy. Yes some will still appeal it and try to get their listing back, but it does stop some of them 💜

So, I've noticed that you as well as other youtubers promoting POD selling that you guys do not put your Etsy shop links anywhere front and center. Why is this? Is it to keep your niche secrets so that others do not pollute your niches?

I thought Etsy is shutting down sellers with Mockups bought and not from the print provider?
@studiomdesignsco Жыл бұрын
It’s a bot issue and all sorts of listings were getting caught up in it (including handmade items and POD listings with mockups from the print provider). POD items fall under the “made to order” section of Etsy policies which does allow for mockups - but they need to be an accurate representation of the actual item. This is also why I do not recommend using AI mockups at all.
