I'm kinda jealous of the manual seatbelts. The automatic ones have some coolness factor I suppose, but I can't tell you how many times I almost got choked or smacked in the head by the damn things over the years, and I imagine they'll fail eventually. I may do the manual belt conversion at some point, but the hard part is sourcing the non-auto trim pieces for a reasonable price. I suppose you could leave the trim as-is and it wouldn't be that horrible, but the completionist in me balks at the idea.

Yeah I'm all about simplifying wherever I can! And I know a guy selling the complete manual seat belt set with all the plastics and headliner for $725 shipped worldwide if you're interested.

@@avengednick Yeah I might be, assuming the set is black/gray since my car is black... brown wouldn't do! Also, assuming condition is really good... all my plastics and headliner look like they just rolled off the factory floor so I'd hate to put something beat up in there! Anyway, how do I get a hold of you outside YT to get more details?

@@avengednick I do have an IG account which I created recently but have been having an issue where the account appears to have been suspended immediately after I created it and they want me to jump through hoops to unlock it. The condition of the interior plastic on this car is hard for me to get my head around it. I have a 2015 Audi, single occupancy usage with less miles and is not in the condition of this car. Congratulations on finding such a gem!

Thank you! And I could have added some up the sides of the car, but unintentionally didn’t put any in the roof because it would make paint less dent removal near impossible if I ever needed it in the future.

What a build! Been tempted to buy a white Onevia that has come up for sale and looks as mint as your Type X build here, but they cut a few corners like using non oem type x side skirts, didnt do a seatbelt conversion, and it's not a slicktop... also used non oem silvia valances. Shame..I love the attention to detail on your build though. Oem+ nothing better and no shortcuts.

How or where did you manage to get the holes for the manual seatbelts on the trim there??!!??

I got lucky and these were included with the car when I bought it but the original owner sourced them from a car in Japan, where manual seat belts where an option.
