If they aren't cheating nothing will happen... if they are it helps people who seem to get away with it get caught by flagging them on Vanguard. Cheating ruins the gameplay experience. I'm glad they are being called cheaters more commonly now not "Hackers" hacking actually takes skill.

I knew by round 3 he was cheating. I said “send me the link” to him as a joke and he sent it 😂 I don’t play often. I’m literally only level 30 or so and I had 3 people so far admit they were cheating. And they weren’t even the obvious ones. Although those people were on unrated.

Hello, 2nd year ComSci student here specializing in Reverse Engineering and Algorithm and a cheating experience history way back in 2014 when I'm just learning my first computer language, just wanted to explain some of the things happening here in the simplest way possible for non technical people and technical people alike, of course if any technical person as me, found any mistakes in my explanation, it's probably because I oversimplified it to much, and you can correct me in the comments! Ok first let's start with eggwick's question in 2:40, so how is this Jett flying and one tapping everyone in mid air, we all know jumping and flying makes you have very random bullet trajectory, there's a thing called local sync packet, the easiest way to explain this is that, not everyone can see what you're doing in your game locally. Multiplayer games are divided into two segments, client side and server side. What you do in the client side, gets communicated in the server side, your computer acting as the medium in the process, it is both hosting the client side of the game and delivering it using the internet to the server side to register your action, a best example of this would be Cloud Gaming. This is the basic framework of multiplayer games, but there are others such as LAN, but we're not gonna talk about those since it is unnecessary to the explanation. So what actually is happening, is that the cheat is locally making changes on how the bullet travels, it is modifying the events that is happening on the client side, and spamming the packets to the internet to push forward that it's actually hitting the enemy in the server side, this is a very risky cheat as you are blatantly abusing packets to modify your action in the server side, which Riot can investigate much more faster, and issue a HWID ban on you. Which comes this part in 3:51, this one is still risky as the packet spoofing one, how this one works is very simple, basically the cheat is just set to find any enemy that is close or within your 'fov', it finds any enemy within your 'visible' range, and with a hotkey, which is in this guy's perspective is Left Mouse Button, the cheat basically aims for you, it calculates, it predicts, where the enemy would move and when it would stop, it's not perfect if you look at it frame by frame, it took almost 3 frames before Sova can land the headshot on the guy. These are the classic aimbot, you can set a configuration term called aimbone, to set where the aimbot would aim, it can be the torso, the head, or anywhere as the cheats allow it, cheats differ on what features it has from one to another. You'll be thinking, 'that's more discreet, that's harder to detect', well no, the thing is modern anti cheats can define real inputs from computer inputs, the cheat aiming for you is computer input, that is much easier to detect from the game's memory editor and handles. This is where a second computer comes in. Okay, so cheating is detected? So how can some people cheat and never got banned? The guy in 7:53 does already a good simple explanation for it. Your main question would be, why would people do that? It's a hassle? Getting a second computer to do the job just to cheat? Well, 'computer' is a pretty general term for a computing device, computer can range from a large gaming rig to small portable sizes almost the size of a snow globe, yes the size of a snow globe, these are called small form factor PCs, and can they cost half the price of a normal pc, at rare cases even much more cheaper, a great example of this would be XDO.AI Pantera Pico PC, or the Intel NUC. So back on the topic, how does this work you might ask? You link your main computer and the second small pc and run the cheats on the second computer, using a passthrough or another linkage cable, you connect it to your main computer and watch the magic happen! Okay, so how does it make it undetected? Remember Vanguard is a kernel level cheat, you can hide your cheats internally in the most smartest way possible, but a kernel level anti cheat, can see every nook and cranny in your system processes or memory handles, the slight suspicious mistake can flag you for a HWID ban. Okay sounds handy dandy, but how about cheats that runs on a completely different device, and disguises itself on the main pc as a capture graphics card, or another generic USB device? Then that's a game changer, no matter how good an anti cheat is, if it's on another device then they don't have complete control over, the resulting case can be this. People who cheat using these devices don't get banned. Well, unless Riot introduces the same system as in CSGO, called the overwatch, where REAL people actually review the game's replay and gives a verdict if the person was really cheating or not, but seeing how Valorant still doesn't support game replay system, yeah that's next to impossible.

I once encountered a cheater on the enemy team, and we could tell he was walling because he'd swing corners and always one tap everyone instantly with perfect crosshair placement like he knew where we were. Even more telling though was how he'd always one tap my entire team through our smokes as we tried to execute a site. No one could believe it because it was all our first time encountering a cheater first-hand, but we had the entire lobby (our team and the enemy team) report him for walling and the next day when I logged on I got a message that said someone I reported for cheating was banned and thanks for keeping our community safe lol. Pre-aiming is a thing and that’s one of many reason why it’s so difficult to detect cheaters in high elo unless they slip up somewhere while we are watching them. If they are jumping mid air and headshotting you, thats pretty clear. If they wide swung you from a common angle, it’s ambiguous and most likely: there’s a reason why you are in silver

What are Riot doing about it though? I have reported 5 people this weekend for suspected wall hacks, 5 people in 5 different games, and have not received 1 notification to say anyone has been banned for cheating. I found since the start of this year it seems to much more common than before. Played against an Omen this weekend and 2 of us reported him, then actually queued in with him randomly in the next game and he was calling out what site the attackers were pushing before the round started, so he wasn't even trying to hide it. No ban notification.

Answering the question on 2:45, the cheat doesnt calculate or does anything weird, it just tells the bullet (which is a prop itself inside the game) to aim straight for the head of the user, so literally it is just telling the bullet to zoom to the enemies head without having a movement consecuence or flying, etc.

In diamond-ascendant elo I’ve had an insane amount of people cheating compared to usual. Usually you can tell becauee if you’re on attack there will either be one specific player or a full on stack on whichever site you go to every round (had probably 10 games so far past couple months to where ever we went every round a specific player would magically be there every time) but I’ve had 2-3 people full on toggle and start 1 tapping through walls past couple days.

eggwick, for the confusion on how hacks work, basic cheats seen in this video collect server data from the computers memory. This data includes information on the exact location of players (heads). The hack can then rewrite memory on the location of the players bullet, placing it exactly on the enemies head, and this overwrites valorant default gun mechanics. That’s why the cheaters aims are accurate mid-air, the random spray midair is replaced with the hack sending its own data to the server.

I don't think that is the case I think it's that there's an algorithm that determines random bullets spread But to have the bullet pattern show up on your screen instantly and accurately regardless of ping, the client computer must know this algorithm All there is left to do is to pre calculate this bullet spread off set and adjust the cross hair away from the head accordingly It's not that they bypass bullets spread, they just cheat to have the perfect spray control Although, I could be wrong without looking at the actual code

If you're wondering how he override the recoil it is the resolver of the cheat, it basically calculates the recoil and resolves it and makes he game think that he has perfect accuracy.

So basically the function which determines where the random bullet goes has to be not only on the server, but also on the client for the visual prediction. So you can reverse this if it isn't a one-way-function to know where to aim so the random bullet spread hits? Am I thinking about this right?

@@allizzz1817 I dont exactly know how it works in valorant but in csgo it was something like that, it was just calculating where the head of the player is at, checking if the player has an anti aim function that shows his body to be in a different position but his actual hotbox is somewhere else. It was all dependent on player's config. He maybe has a god cheat but if it is poorly configured then it'll preform like a regular free cheat. I have noticed how in valorant some cheats are using existing functions such as the in game observer ESP and it basically just makes it so that it shows everyone from the enemy team. My best guess is that it is calculating and after the cheat is faking that the client is grounded and has full accuracy and sending it towards the server, again idrk how it works in valorant there might be an exploit within the code of it or something, I never touched a valorant cheat before but I've seen some of it in action.

You don’t really get banned unless you’re in a game with a big streamer/ get fully reported. Like a month ago there was a blatant cheater and was able to play 15+ games immortal without getting banned. I believe he got 26games of fully blatant cheating until he got banned.

For what I read somewhere, cheaters don't get instantly banned. Once they are reported and discovered, Riot keeps an eye on them to study the cheat so they can counter it later. But I would not know if that's true or not.

Also, had a game where the cheater was on MY team. He was extremely obvious in that his crosshair placement, movement, and gamesense was just SO below high diamond elo. He ended up leaving the game before halftime and let us lose because he clearly didn't feel the need to try or care. The fact that I never got that elo back after losing the 4v5 is just stupid. This is another huge problem with Valorant ranked. If I have a teammate that leaves before half time, there is no way in hell that I should be losing the same amount of elo as if it was a fair 5v5. Give us back our elo RIOT! This needs to be addressed more than anything else. I swear I have more than 5 leavers a day while playing, and I still lose the same amount of elo as if it was a fair 5v5. This is a simple change that we need to make apparent to the RIOT devs. Like this comment if you agree.

Internal cheats like the one at 3:00 can “calculate” and “predict” targets, the reason u miss when u are in the air is due to spread, and internal cheats often find ways to bypass spread

The bullet doesn't come out the frame you click, so maybe there is a value stored in your RAM for where your bullet is going to hit the frame you click, then the cheat moves your mouse there a frame later on the location

Now that I finally reached ascendant , there are no aimbot . Never seen one in 2 years. Wallhacks , in evey like , 10 games,there is at least 1 obvious cheater and 1 or 2 that are just sus.(Always being at the right place at the right time (That can be luck) The obvious tho... always prefire your angle , holding smokes when you push, Going to the site with weaker defence, spamming smokes and walls to get chip dmg (not kill soo it is not sus to his team) I hope riot fixes it , because if you have cheats on 1 pc and the game on the other , and the pcs are connected. They cannot fix it. You cannot detect hardware cheats. You mentionned having 2 PCs, which is valid and allows you to use radarhack and GPU aimbot, but you could simply use an arduino and some cheat you find on forums. It costs very little money and time-wise and there is absolutely no way for any anti-cheat to detect it since it's externalized. But I guess people are too dumb to ever understand that and keep wasting their money and time losing against cheaters :')

One of my old friend’s was bronze and jumped up to immortal in like 2 weeks. I let him on my account to play with some friends and I later logged back on to find out my account was banned for cheating because of him. I've had three games in the last two days where a cheater got banned mid-game and the match gets terminated. I think vanguard is doing it's job, but they need to scan BEFORE these people get into games. It's a waste of time for everyone and causes a lot of resentment to wanting to play the game. I am high diamond elo btw, and it's very obvious when people are cheating. Most of the games mentioned went all the way into the second half, sometimes further before getting terminated. I would argue that I've had a few non-terminated games while playing against cheaters, that is elo I will never get back because they don't have a system to do that. In CSGO I would receive my elo back when the cheater I played against was banned, this needs to be a thing in Valorant for sure. It's absurd that I have to play with cheaters at least once a day. Don't allow this game to turn into CSGO, where cheaters run rampant and never get banned.

I agree about getting your elo back, I also think the game should tell you when someone you reported gets banned (like give out the specific game you played, the name of the person and why they were banned). But I disagree on banning pre-game, unfortunately they need to gather info about the cheats. It's unfortunate but it avoids having rampant cheats because they can learn how whole exploits opperate and fix them alltogether

The thing where they jump and it doesn't get affected by spread is called anti-spread. Used to exist in CS:GO aswell when it was not patched. But it's an easy fix from Riots part to make it so you cannot anti-spread anymore

I’ve never been in a game with a cheater but lately a new cheat has spread and it’s making people go on a rampage. I remember just seeing it in a small discord server then the server grew to 12k plus members and more and more people have started to spread it and it’s getting out of control. Valorant needs to update their anti cheat. Also it’s incredibly cheap everywhere I see it.

Having been a cheater in CS:GO a few years ago, I can explain and answer some questions about cheating in a tac-fps. 1. 1:26 "this is good acting while cheating" Acting is pretty much all you're focusing on while cheating (at least if you're trying to not get banned/play legithack) so this is very correct. 2. 1:38 Using more than wallhack isn't always noticeable. He could've used "soft aim", which is an aimbot that looks sloppier and activates within a tinier fov (aimbot fov circle visible in 5:13). He also could've used "triggerbot", which as the name suggests automatically fires when the crosshair is either on an enemy body or head (configurable in many cheats). 3. 2:33 This cheater seems to be using a cheat to bypass recoil and movement inaccuracy. These are not new, very prevalent in CS:GO. They are extremely detectable, since the cheat itself is sending modified packets to the Valorant servers. Since it's actively modifying packets, VANGUARD should have no problem detecting the cheat as soon as it starts to scan. 4. At 5:31, the cheater picks up an Origin Vandal, which magically reskins to a Reaver Operator. You can also see his knife is reskinned to be a Reaver Vandal at 5:36. This is an inventory/skin changer. There were many in CS:GO as well. Not very hard to program and not very easy to detect, but they do almost no harm by themselves. This skinchanger obviously seems to be malfunctioning though. Some high elo cheaters in CS:GO bought expensive skins like knives to seem more legit, though, and it worked. Could be the case here too. 5. 7:47 This is not always true. If the cheat is well made, they will make the flicks seem natural with random points on either the head or the whole body to flick to (or nearest hit). Most cheats are wildly configurable too, with a head/body switch, delay, natural pathing, etc. for the aimbot. 6. 7:59 The video mentioning the new cheat on another computer is true, and I'm a bit scared for competitive video games. It's essentially non-detectable as it uses an AI on a separate computer, as long as it's a legithack, and I hope security devs find a solution before it gets rampant. 7. 8:17 "Same cheat [as in the beginning]" It probably is, but this GUI is very common in cheats. ESP (box wallhack) with healthbar and skeleton with differing color depending on visible or not. Also tracers leading to enemies from bottom of screen. There were even cheats in CS that showed if enemy was wallbangable or not, and ESP + radarhack that only showed if enemy made footsteps. 8. 8:40 I was high-elo in CS:GO (I think at least). I peaked LEM but after 1500 hours the one map I only played (Mirage) became a bit stale and I just didn't have as much time to play as I used to. I started legit-cheating (on an alt) because I was a little tired of tryharding all the time, and I was curious to see how it was to not be on edge not knowing where enemies are or if you're gonna whiff while still not being owned by GN's. It wasn't to gain any sort of notoriety, but then again I wasn't GE so the player pool was way bigger, and meeting the same player again was unlikely. I stopped cheating simply because it was not fun, and because it felt better to play legit anyway - for everyone in the match. My actual skill got worse with and I didn't feel anything while cheating, compared to actually playing good. It was even more annoying to play with a cheat and always try to hide it than to just have fun and play a bit worse with friends. It also cost way to much. I paid 30 usd for a month once. Wasted money tbh. I got banned on my alts and on my main (same phone number connected to one of the alts) which sucked. I'll never cheat again, and certainly not in a game like Valorant with top notch anti-cheat and fun gameplay. Cheating is sad, and will only ruin the experience for everyone.

Hey man, I have 14k+ hours on CS:GO and hate cheaters with a passion you couldn't ever fathom but I'm glad to read that you've stopped it and actually took time to explain what's going on to people. At this point I don't want these games to get rid of the cheating problem since it's simply not feasible but I'd rather have people understand that Esport isn't what it seems, at least for now, and shouldn't waste their life practicing on a game they have no chance to win without cheating.

Cheaters have been rampant this act. I think people got comfy with riots anti cheat and think its flawless. Ive seen 5 red screens since the start of the act alone and plenty of cheaters go unbanned, the anti cheat software only works for a period of time until people figure out how to counter it. The other problem is the community knows about cheaters but dont care because if you get one on your team youll get RR you think you deserve so no one cares anymore. Also if a cheater is detected in game the match is cancelled and no one get rr and the match isnt recorded. If the cheater is detected after the match finishes and eventually get banned you still lose the RR from that match (no RR refund). Its crazy they didnt implement the RR refund like they already have in league.

I think it’s also due to cheating not really giving you a massive advantage in valorant. You can still out play with util usage and good aim. Plus it’s not like even if you’re toggled you can just 1 v 5 for free. There’s still flashes and what not that can still affect you.

FYI Eggwick, computers have a REALLY hard time generating *truly* random values. If a value is randomly generated by a computer, it can still be calculated. This is why Cloudflare uses lava lamps for their entropy (randomness).

I can explain the flying and hitting shots: **NOTHING** in a computer is random. The definition of a modern computer is that for the same input, you always get the same output, no matter what. There are ways to simulate Randomness though, for example with the modification of the time of your PC. But you can reverse it. Which leads to a program being able to calcutalte where the bullet will go, 100% of the time. Riot also fixed this already a while back

So a quick thing about the jumping kills even though I'm a little late. All computer generated inaccuracy is not truly random but "pseudo-random" is how it's described. It involves inputting a number, or "seed" if you will, and then calculating from a list of numbers what number should be given to a server. It's therefore totally possible in theory, for a cheat to detect what seed the server is set to and adjust for it. On a different note, it could also directly influence what your PC sends to the server you're playing on, which would entirely negate the need to do any calculation. These are some of the many ways cheat developers do these kinds of things, and it's absolutely terrible for the health of the game, and makes it incredibly difficult to pinpoint exactly what is happening.

I played against an enemy jett cheater who I think had the first wall hack, so not detectable. Horrible ranked game, they had 38 kills while the second frag on her team had 11, and didn’t even hide the fact that they cheated. I called them out right away on first round ( bind) because sage and I were hiding backsite on B behind the metal tube and got 1 tap headshot wall banged from hookah, which is impossible unless you see us through the metal. Throughout the game our last standing player would hide in an impossible spot but the Jett would run straight to them EVERY time and the worst is their team didn’t report Jett because he was boosting them. Never got banned.

for the the jumping one with perfect accuracy, how it kinda works from my basic knowledge is: for most cheats, they open a handle to the process and find different sectors of memory using offsets from the base address then reading/writing from/to those, to find the enemies locations and draw something to the screen (esp) or write to the float for bullet inaccuracy and make it always equal 0 (perfect accuracy). though for valorant due to their ac cheats would require either a signed driver that can be loaded adjacent to valorants ac or some kind of bypassing EFI driver (my knowledge in this area is quite limited so take what i say with a grain of salt)

Just came from a unrated game, I have never encountered a cheater before in Valorant and today was the day, we played as a trio on fractured and noticed that the enemies omen is really good in predicting. After calling him out it started to rain headshots and he won with 31/6, he was also using a name changer because if you look his fake name up you get on someone elses profile.

I know of a cheat ( I don’t use it but I know people who do) that it’s a software in your mouse that moves the cursor to the certain color outline of the enemy, so like if the outline is the purple you select then the mouse just needs to be programmed to lock on to that specific color, it doesn’t shoot for you tho so it doesn’t trigger the anti cheat

ive noticed sometimes in unrated and mostly in deathmatch there have been people peeking extremely strangely (not checking other angles) or just preaiming me when peeking, and i have seen people fighting someone else and i shoot them and they just do a 1 tap flick onto me when im not even on their screen (like solid 90-180 flicks). btw the thing for jett is a server cheat these cheats have the ability to change the games properties that are already in the game/tricking the game you are in certain scenario (i think the cheat tricks the game to thinking he isnt moving), eg: rainbow six siege right now has a really bad server cheats, hipfire is 100% accurate bullet holes are really big, ziplines can be climbed anywhere (basically flying and no clipping by using this), a really good example is tf2s old problem with cheaters tricking the game that theyhave a medic ubering them thus giving them uber.

There was a guy last night, he was live streaming himself playing valorant, his title " new immo3 account banned for cheating XDXD new smurf", he also had massive text on his stream saying "r3tard" repeatedly on the bottom of his screen, he had pictures blocking parts of his UI, he alt tabbed ALOT, he claims "E-Sports FPS isn't about utility or teamplay, just go out hold W and shoot people that's it, utility means nothing" he dry swung EVERY enemy prefiring and he ALWAYS guessed the site they was on, he never got it wrong, his tracker shows he's only ascend3 but his stats show he's better than the #2 player in EU, he then procceds to admit LIVE ON STREAM he cheats, he shows his 4 prior accounts he has been banned on AND shows his details of the account and website he bought HIS new account on!?!?!? how is valorants system THIS terrible that a guy can cheat in 4 different accounts AND STILL MANAGE TO PLAY?????

I've been playing for around 8 months, g3 peak so far and I've ran into 2 cheaters getting the red screen during a game. worst part is I'm pretty sure neither were even in a comp match they were just "warming up" in swiftplay only viable option is to start getting stricter and giving out IP bans to repeat offenders. same thing with smurfing tbh cause its just as bad if not worse for the newer player base

2:27 that exact same cheat was used by someone in my game. He would run and jump while one tapping every person he saw. He also had wall hacks on so the entire enemy team always knew where we were. We still got 7 rounds on them somehow, 13-7. Match didn’t terminate for some reason even though everyone in game reported him
