12:03 night shift worker of nearly 6 years here, can confirm that we usually do have to work the extra hour, though it also varies depending on where you work at. Thankfully this year I had the day off for DST, so for once I got an extra hour of sleep instead :) and yes, thankfully we do get the extra pay.
