Sadly the sound here is muffled. I own 2 Ego 09s and they are still super sweet and sexy shooters.

Its a classic poppet ofcourse its gonna be loud. Still shoots better and faster then almost any spool from the era. Maybe things are different nowadays but having that removable bolt was the difference between being out or in when you had malfunctions.

Idk man the Bob Long Vice wasn't this loud. I've owned 3 09 egos they were cannons.

A video really can NOT replicate how Loud Egos used to be. They were never bad guns. but in that Era compared to my Intimidators, Angels, Bushmasters, BKOs , Promasters, Automags and Cockers ? You could IMMEDIATELY tell which player was running an Ego when playing up until about the SL 9... the Ego 11 and LV series is when the Ego finally got decently quieter.. Still not as quiet as its betters the Vice and G6R.. but not obnoxiously loud as the old Evil Omen or other stacked tube blowback.
