Atleast the climate controls should be buttons and knobs.
@fredrikfjeld1575
@fredrikfjeld1575 2 жыл бұрын
@@matthewp1682 I hardly ever adjust the climate controls, other than to defrost the window. Heated seats though? That is changed constantly. Hated how the Ioniq 5 did that. Garbage solution. Why add buttons that then forces you to adjust with the touch screen anyways? It is the worst of both worlds. So a button for heated seats might be nice, as well as an easier access to the frunk. If that half open door handles works with newer cars, or that you can half open back door to end charging, then it would be worth it on its own.

I took delivery on March,11,2022 for a 2022 LR AWD MODEL Y. Yesterday I told Tesla that I’m missing the tray in the center console along with the botton on the front passenger as well. @@darmou Agreed. There's a few use-cases building up for the 'set it to 11 now!' scenario. Obvious ones are the A/C, either max heat or max cold depending on the weather (maybe tied to seat heaters), wipers would be another. The Enhance guys have a never-ending to-do list, so sometimes delivering the first iteration of the function that can be improved upon is better than waiting for perfection, especially when Tesla up-ends things with UI changes.

The glovebox one would be very useful (I haven't gotten these gadgets ... yet). My wife would like to open the box without asking me to punch the buttons or reaching 'way over to do it herself. so I'd stick that one over on that side, maybe right on the face of the box. Other functions may come to mind later. Maybe we could ask Enhance to add some features we think would be nice. How about a few custom settings of climate controls like increase cabin temperature plus turn on defrosters all at once. Maybe I'll try these things but hide the buttons to keep down the cluttered look.

Whoa, will regen +/- work on a Model Y which does not have the ability to achieve this in the "presented" software? I was so bummed when Model Y shipped without this, yet my Model 3 friends had this ability inside the software. Thanks Kyle! ps, a quick drive mode selection, chill to standard is SO helpful. If Tesla did the "kick down" feature on many euro vehicles we could be in chill mode but access the full power at the end of the accelerator pedal. Prime example is e-golf.

Maybe I fail to see the point of these buttons. Why would I want to stick 6 buttons all over my car and then have to remember what function I had assigned to each button, sounds sort of tacky to me. I’ll admit that they do seem to work as advertised, but why not just push the button (scroll wheel) on the steering wheel and use voice commands which cover almost all the same commands as the buttons do, it’s like having a hundred or so buttons without the cost or clutter.

A Tesla software upgrade could add a programmable swipe down menu with all your favorite functions. Just like my iPhone …I swipe down to go to airplane mode or screen record (although not programmable on the iPhone) Come on Tesla … make a programmable swipe down menu for all the options users want. The minimalistic fix. 😏 Isn’t this anti anti-minimalist? 🤨 Didn’t know there was a need. 🤷🏻

I’m 66 years OLD, have a 2021 Tesla Model 3 SR+, and I LOVE the absence of buttons, dials, knobs, switches, sliders, cranks, and all that other crap. BTW, I have opened up my Model 3’s glovebox exactly twice in the year I’ve had the car (to put in new docs). The touchscreen and the scroll wheels on the steering wheel are all I need. Or want. My wife got her EV a few months after I got mine. She found that her range anxiety was silly, and she loves her EV. But she didn’t like the minimalist interior of Tesla. She wanted a UI that was more traditional. Her solution? Buy a VW ID.4! It’s got all sorts of buttons, switches, sliders, dials, and other geegaws (remember, I’m old). My own advice when asked is this: if you like permanent buttons, etc., and you don’t like changes or updates to your car - DON’T BUY A TESLA!!! Because that interior tells you what this car is all about - change. I say, bring it on, Tesla!

Just to be fair to all non Tesla owners. All these features can be done using the voice command button on the steering wheel. Don't want to discredit Tesla.
