I think the v3i works in saltwater not really sure how well though being that uses 3 frequencies I could be wrong but it most definitely works better than any of those other things you got out there now besides the pulse induction unit

Garrett sea Hunter Mark II its a machine gun in the water. I have it for 2 years and i found a lot of goodies 💍💍💍💍

I had a garret hunter and I dont like it. Inside the salt water its very unestable and when there are hotrocks gime me a lot of false signs, if I use the discrimination a litle Bit the goods signs disapears. My last detector was a white surfmaster pi and was fantastic but the box lid cracked and water could enter so I had to retire it. Now I’m looking for a new one and dont know which its better, new deus II, excalibur or equinox 800. Can somebody help me?? Thx

I love the mx sport but I have found it is not so good in the salt water...I had to take it down to sensitivity 3 when in the salt water...useless in the water

On the Sea Hunter the only knobs you ever need is the one that turn it on in the threshold basically turn on and go I wish whites in Garrard would step up their game with the submersible detectors a lot of these companies to are making submersible detectors but they fell to do salt so for freshwater it's fine but completely useless and saltwater it's also very frustrating how the same thing it has been around so long still cost so much money without them even really improving it it's absolutely absurd

I'd like you and your tests though because I've have got the sectors to run on the salt water 2 but when I tested them with quarters a couple inches down they could not find them what I'm trying to say is your tests aren't valid without something to detect and proof the detector is actually well reading how far down basically if that makes any sense at all

Over the wet sand you can use 7 of sensitivity. Reduced to 3 if underwater. That´s because i´ve bought the MX7, that is waterproof but not submersible...No way hunting in the sea with the mx sport, is completely useless. Scuba Deteknic gets 3, 4 inches, that is better than a mx sport with 3 of sensitivity (and standard coil)

We all know the only one that's really going to work in salt water is the Garrett Sea Hunter pulse induction the only frequency best detectors I've ever seeing work in saltwater is the Minelab CTX 3030 the equinox and the excal Minelab pretty much cornered the market these other idiots need to step up put some better competition up there and push cost down
