I had not heard of a coin quilt, so I looked it up and found out the reason it's called that (I thought it should have circles on it!). It's supposed to resemble stacks of coins like you would have inside a roll of coins. It's pretty with all those colors.

You don’t pre wash your fabric ?

I know quilters that don’t. Depends on how you want the quilt to look.

Hi Georgeana. Yes you can pre-wash your fabric. Before washing do a zigzag stitch on the raw edges so that it will not unravel during cleaning. Thanks for watching. Happy New Year. 😍

I have watch this video over a few times and I feel like a step is missing. You started with 14 strips but, when you went to add the green sashing you only had 7 strips.

Hi Greatlakezgirl. At the beginning of the tutorial the fabric was folded in half with selvage edges together. I then cut 7 (42" long) green strips for the sashing. You can make the quilt any length and width that you want. To make it larger just cut/stitch more coin rows and sashing strips. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy new year. 😍
